I had been wanting to try this place for some time but didn't because there's no parking you can pull into easily. I finally decided to plan my visit. I looked up the reviews and their customer service wasn't high ranking so I was leery. I said to self, just give it a try they may have changed due to the constant bad reviews on their customer service. Covid-19 Precautions: Mask required. Social distance in force. Most workers had on mask and were using gloves. You are asked to wait in your car for a call when order is complete. Parking: Residential street. Store: front, Open & neat. Back: could have been more organized; food and other items were all over. I gather because they are busy. Wait time 45 minutes. Service: When I called an older gentleman answered. He was polite and made sure to repeat my order. Food: I ordered a corned beef special with cooper sharp and extra dressing. There wasn't much coleslaw on it. It was ok. I've tasted better. I also ordered an italian hoagie with swiss. My son said it was good. Overall my experience was good. Only thing I would like is a receipt. I didn't ask for one but it should be given.

    Poor excuse for salmon Cheesesteak

Wow I can remember coming here years ago this was the best deli uptown, hands down. BBQ Chicken Club was everything! Oh where do I begin? Let's start with the extremely rude behavior from the Wife/Owner. Salmon Cheesesteak was garbage! Dry, no seasoning and no flavor, it lacked love. Order was incorrect as it was supposed to have house made tarter and they put Mayo and barely any of that. The charge $.75 for spinach (very small amount) and have the nerve to charge $.15 for a paper bag. I go back in to inform the rude lady working the counter and calmly informed her that the order was missing the tarter but had Mayo, she got so more rude and flustered, I gracefully said it's ok, no love lost. It was a lost cause and unfortunately this is a sinking ship!

This is not fresh at all. They had to have used old oil. I wouldn't feed this to a dog. The chicken is rock hard

This is what came via Uber eats. I am so disappointed because I ordered this for my toddler. This is not fresh at all. They had to have used old oil. I wouldn't feed this to a dog. I tasted a fry and it is rancid. The chicken is rock hard. I spent over $50 for just a hoagie, chicken tender platter & 2 juices.

This is a good, local Mt airy/Germantown deli that's good for a nice sandwich at lunch. I got the Reuben and it wasn't the best but it was good for what is was.

I do not recommend using Mt airy deli due to the lack of customer service . I have been a long time customer of Mt airy deli since they opened in the 90's . I have shopped here since Day 1 when they opened . Today I arrive back in Philadelphia after being in New York and called in an order to Mt Airy Deli . I came in to pay for the order. I Get home and noticed that the order was incorrect and immediately called . I ordered a surf and turf cheesesteak yet I get home and open up salmon on a cheesesteak roll . I was then told that is what I ordered and that the person who took the order read it back to me . Clearly it is not what I ordered and never heard the mention of any salmon. I don't even eat salmon !!! There for the order is incorrect . I would not have been calling with an issue on the order. Yet the argument continued with telling me that is what I ordered . So i was then told that In order for me to get another sandwich I would now need to pay for another one . Please note that the one I picked up was $17.99 and I was overcharged in the first place as I did not even order SALMON . Additionally i ordered other food . So now I am here with something I can not even eat . Not good at all. So with that being said, basic customer service has been lost at this deli . I will not be patronizing this restaurant any longer in Mt airy and do not advise anyone looking for good customer experience to do so as well !!

    a sandwich with coleslaw

Food has changed a lot and so has the prices. Prices went up and the food isn't even that good anymore. I recently had a Turkey hoagie which was full of the dressing with probably two thin sliced pieces of Turkey. I used to love the food here and was always recommending this place but my past few experiences have not been good. $12.00 for a hoagie that tasted more like a veggie hoagie with cheese.

I recently stopped here for lunch while in the area. I noticed all of the pictures and I thought the food looked amazing. I can say that the owner was working and was really friendly. I could tell he must have a lot of repeat business because of his personality. The crispy buffalo chicken hoagie was really good. The rolls were excellent and fresh. The rest of the food looked amazing. Next time I am in the area I will certainly go back and try something else.

I had the corned beef special sandwich which was really good but had me completely passed out afterwards. Honestly that's mostly on my end because I slept so little and you need to catch up on rest, but at the same times I I think the sandwich was really good

The meat was moist, tasty, properly salted, with a discernible bark. The amount of cheese, sauerkraut, & dressing accentuated the pastrami, although so much meat would be hard to impact! It needed the long spear to stay together. But yet I could cut & shave & make mini sandwiches. The potato salad was a great refresher. Not too tart, with carrots, celery, & I could taste onion. The pickle was not too acidic. Great crunch. A nice interlude between bites of the sandwich & potato salad. I took my time. It went into overtime. Washing it down with coke. My taste buds won. Great service. A nice diner like vibe. Incredible menu. We don't have this level of Jewish Deli in the Bay Area. I'd go every week. $36.18 is with it! I threw in a $10 tip for a great meal & nice waitress.

While I was downtown, I picked up about $92 worth of food, including 1 1/2 pounds of shrimp salad that couldn't be ordered online because, for some reason, the website would not allow it. The very next day, when we went to eat it, something was clearly wrong. The shrimp salad caused a tingling sensation on our tongues, and it was obvious it had gone bad. I called the deli to let them know not just because we couldn't eat it, but because I thought they would want to know if there was a potential issue with the batch. Instead of receiving an apology or any concern, I was met with a dismissive response of, "Oh, that's weird," and the conversation felt condescending. I explained that I couldn't bring the shrimp salad back because I'm leaving town and my mother has limited mobility. I wasn't asking for a refund on our entire order. I simply asked if they could issue a gift card or store credit for the shrimp salad so my mother could use it on a future visit. Every possible solution I suggested was met with an excuse as to why it couldn't be done. The spoiled food was disappointing, but the lack of empathy and customer service was worse. Loyal customers deserve to be treated with respect when they raise a legitimate concern. After years of supporting 4th Street Deli, this experience has unfortunately convinced us that it will be our last visit. I'm reading they have new owners, so maybe it's not the same amazing management we are used to.

We walked in for a late lunch and were overwhelmed by all our options. There's also a butcher's shop if you want fresh meats, and a designated cafe section for beverages and pastries to go. I chose an eggplant sandwich, which was thinly sliced, breaded, and fried, with mozzarella, and artichokes. The sandwich itself was so filling. The chips and pickle were an added bonus. They heated it for us before we went upstairs to eat. There's a quieter section with more ambiance upstairs, so we enjoyed the ac while we ate. I came back a few days later for a strawberry shortcake, and it was worth the trip. I love cake, so the miniature options were appealing and practical. Most of the cakes range from $12-30..Which is not a bad price for how much you get!
