So I order from here a lot online, through doordash or uber. I love their blueberry muffins! So today i went in asking about a bagel and they seemed offended almost and said they dont do that. Just breakfast sandwiches. I said ok let me get 2 egg & cheese sandwiches and two, dollar sized waters. My total came to $19.05. I went on the kiosk they have next to the counter and saw the same breakfast sandwich listed for $5.75. So unless the waters were 4 dollars a piece it didnt make sense. I asked them about the price and was immediately met with attitude. Which felt undeserved because I wasnt angry, just wanted justification for the price. They got so upset, and suggested I just get my money back. Which I did and left confused why I was met with such hostile energy over 2 breakfast sandwiches. Let's start with the extremely rude behavior from the Wife/Owner. Salmon Cheesesteak was garbage! Dry, no seasoning and no flavor, it lacked love. Order was incorrect as it was supposed to have house made tarter and they put Mayo and barely any of that. The charge $.75 for spinach (very small amount) and have the nerve to charge $.15 for a paper bag. I go back in to inform the rude lady working the counter and calmly informed her that the order was missing the tarter but had Mayo, she got so more rude and flustered, I gracefully said it's ok, no love lost. I do not recommend using Mt airy deli due to the lack of customer service . I have been a long time customer of Mt airy deli since they opened in the 90's . I have shopped here since Day 1 when they opened . Today I arrive back in Philadelphia after being in New York and called in an order to Mt Airy Deli . I came in to pay for the order. I Get home and noticed that the order was incorrect and immediately called . I ordered a surf and turf cheesesteak yet I get home and open up salmon on a cheesesteak roll . I was then told that is what I ordered and that the person who took the order read it back to me . Clearly it is not what I ordered and never heard the mention of any salmon. I don't even eat salmon !!! There for the order is incorrect . I would not have been calling with an issue on the order. Yet the argument continued with telling me that is what I ordered . So i was then told that In order for me to get another sandwich I would now need to pay for another one . Please note that the one I picked up was $17.99 and I was overcharged in the first place as I did not even order SALMON . Additionally i ordered other food . After meeting the business owner one night at Somo, she invited us to come and try her deli. We had just recently moved to philly and were quite adventurous to try the top local spots. After about 6 weeks of life happening we finally made our way to the deli. After walking in we were surprised to find the owner running the show and actually remembering us! I was very disappointed as this could've been fixed, but they closed early than their posted operational hours---quite unprofessional. I didn't eat the the food and had to find something else to eat. This is a great looking neighborhood deli/sandwich shop inside and out.. Plenty of not the norm sandwiches on their menu. All of them would make deciding what to get pretty hard.... Good thing I had my mind made up months ago when I first saw this business page and saw pics of the shrimp po boy.. I placed my order, and out came this roll with huge shrimp on it... The shrimp were seasoned well and not overcooked. Thankfully I didn't order anything else as a backup just in case I didn't care for this.
