I love this place, environment is always friendly & food is always made fresh. Only downside is the man working that fryer back there deserves a good working ac; as well as the employees. It's pretty hot throughout the store so I could imagine just how hot it is behind the counter and they do a good job, a well conditioned environment is the bare minimum. read more

We generally grab Chick N Max to-go but we had family in town and we're looking for a quick place to eat, dining in fit the bill. We placed two separate orders and both came quickly . The food was hot and fresh and delicious! We love the chicken with max sauce and the cornbread is so, so good. The staff was super nice and made sure we had everything we needed. We tried this restaurant for the first time today( we usually go to KFC) I had the half chicken meal combo. The chicken was juicy and smoky but the skin was bland and so was the chicken. My wife had the original chicken sandwich which she didn't care for and my mother in law had tenders which were pretty good. The meal came with sides like onion rings that were good my wife had French fries that were good and my mother in law had Mac and cheese and hush puppies which were also good. The corn bread was like jiffy corn muffins and not real cornbread which was disappointing. Being a restaurant promoting southern food they missed the mark. It's just like northerners trying to make southern food and doing a lot of hit and miss. read more

I was not impressed with this place. Not the worst thing I've eaten but... it has its flaws. I ordered the slow cooked chicken with a side of Mac and cheese. The side was pretty good, but the sand which was dry and needed seasoning. I also bit down on two different mouthfuls of grizzle which was unpleasant. If it's between this and KFC I'll take the latter at least they season their chicken. read more

Love this place. It's REAL chicken, slow smoked and tastes great. Not frozen "fake" chicken that you get at the other places. The Power Bowls are super healthy and made from fresh foods. I add a little house made ranch to mine after I eat the beans. It is a few bucks more than the fast food places but it's worth an extra dollar or two to have fresh non frozen real food. If I could rate this location with a 10 star review I would! The service is fantastic and the chicken is hot, seasoned and delicious. I had the corn muffins which were warm, sweet and buttery goodness. The beans were tender and well seasoned and so creamy and yummy.
