We arrived at 6:50pm and was told there would be a 60 minute wait for a family booth. (we have 4 kids that are smaller and like to roam out of chairs) I said ok and gave them my number and went back to my car. 27minutes later I get a text saying our table is ready. We go inside and there is still not a family booth. They only have 3 and 2 of them had a party of 2. These are the 6-8 people booths. Shortly after we arrive inside a group of 5 walk in behind us. They tell her 5 and decide to wait. Then realize that a friend of theirs is sitting with his wife and 2 kids in a family booth. I return outside and wait another 40 minutes. I then have to use the restroom. I walk back inside and go to the restroom. On my way out I see the wife and 3 kids stand up and walk out while the 5 other guest walk over and sit down. I tell the greeter that isn't how it works. He can't save seats for a whole different party. She tells me my wait will soon be over cause the other tables have paid their checks. I was furious. I walked back to my car and told my wife and 4 kids we were leaving. After we stopped at park city to get gas and got home to Newton my phone went off telling me my table was ready. It was 8:45. We lived at this place because of the kids but I will not be going back. The East side got rid of all their family booths so I guess we will find a better restaurant. I have definitely been treated better elsewhere. My family and I arrived fairly late in the evening as we had been at the NAIA Nationals. We were informed that to be seated for dine-in would be roughly 1 1/2 hours, but the bar was open seating. My son-in-law went to the bar to look and found two tables that were dirty. We were then informed it would be 20 minutes to be cleaned. Are you kidding me!?!? As I used to work both ends of the restaurant business, I do know how tough it can be, but I also know how to make my job a little easier. When working the front, it's not hard to grab a glass or plate or two as you walk by. We even offered to clean the table for them before we left and went down the street. Me and my family went to go out two kids 7 adults the host told us that it would be a 20-30 minute wait but it was around 10 they closed at 12 they place was empty like at least 4 people there and we asked why and she said that there was only one server and she went to "ask the server " if it was ok if we went because it could be to much for her or something like that. I struggle giving poor reviews unless they are earned and believe me, this one was earned. The hostess did a great job of getting us seated. Giselle, took our order and the food when it finally arrived was all correct and tasty. However, I noticed what appeared to be a chaotic expedite area where they were sending food out and I observed on two occassions they called the runner back to change or swap things out. This led me to believe we were not going to get our food in a timely manner. Sadly, I was right. We had 7 people in our party and one plate (wings) came out and I asked where is the rest of the food? I was fed a line that to me sounded like an explanation from ametuer trying to run a restaurant. The explanation was " we have a system of hot and fresh meaning we bring out food when it is ready". Ok, by that logic a cold salad would have come out first. Next, my chicken tenders and fries came out. The first two plates delivered were nearly comsumed prior to two hamburgers and a chicken sandwich coming out and then well over 15 minutes after the first delivery, the salad and another burger came. At some point I asked Giselle what the heck is going on and where is the rest of our food. She pointed to the manager and said that is my manager (Ashlee) going to check on your food. Magically the last two dishes came our shortly after with no apology or can I get you anything else? How can anyone mess up a good chain restaurant that has built in SOP's for everthing. While I do not live here, the poeple I was visitng do. I am pretty sure this place will not be on any list of places to go. I boil this whole terrible experience to very poor leadership. I've eaten here since it opened in 2006. I've watched this establishment progressively go down hill for years, to the point I only order a couple times per year now to remind myself why I hardly ever order from here. This used to be a Thursday night tradition to eat at BWW. In the last year that I've ordered wings from here...there hasn't been one time, in over a year, where they don't have an issue with my order. Whether it's giving me the entirely wrong order of wings, putting the wrong flavor on my wings....both times I called and the managers tried to tell me it's door dash's fault...even tho I never even ordered with door dash lol so I have to argue with the managers for an hour bc they're either too lazy or incompetent to fix the issue....every time I order, they either have given me no sauce at all or the times when I do get ranch and Bleu cheese then I get 5 half filled cups of sauce for over 30 wings and have to choker down 20 dry and under sauced wings....please save yourself the trouble of anger and bitter disappointment and go to wing stop or just go get some tacos for GameDay. read more

Worst service I have ever received at a restaurant. All employees were talking to each other in the back for a good 20 minutes. Meanwhile, about 3 tables were were waiting to order and multiple people were waiting to be seated. The employees knew people were waiting and kept looking over at the customers waiting to be seated. We sat outside because, you know, it's summer and it was just chaotic. Adult party to our left was absurdly loud. And party to the right had kids running and screaming all over the place. One of two TERRIBLE things that happened in my one visit, I ordered a buffalo chicken ranch wrap. The first time it came out, there was no buffalo sauce as it was just a regular crispy chicken wrap. I sent it back for the thing that I actually ordered. It came back with a LOAD of buffalo sauce, so much I could only taste the sauce, I should have taken a picture it was ridiculous. I asked for it to be sent back and cooked the right way instead of the smart ass cook loading it with buffalo sauce. The manager had taken it off the bill after the 2nd remake, but said she was going to charge again for it since they had to make it a 3rd time. I used to eat here fairly often. The service was ok, the food was good. A few weeks ago, I got my first truely bad food from this location. It was hard to describe other than way "over done." The breading on the buffalo wings was 4 times as thick as it should have been. Other wings had sauce that was way too dark, and on the verge of being burnt / boiled into something it was never intended to be. I was on time for my pick up order, so although spending a few hours under a heat lamp would have explained the super chewy dry chicken, it doesn't make sense in this case. Also, my order of veggies wasn't included. I ate some of the order, didn't enjoy it at all, and threw some away. I called, complained, was offered a refund. At the time of this writing I've not gotten that refund, I think my request was lost do to the same attention to details with which the food is now made. Because I really used to like BWW, I tried again, even while still waiting for my refund. The waiting area was packed with people and as they approached the take out register they were all told the same thing: "It'll be a few minutes." After waiting for my "few minutes" a couple times over, I asked for an estimated time. I was told 10-15 minutes more, which I didn't really have a reason to believe, and at the same time realized that the whole order had probably not been started until long after the time I was supposed to originally pick up according to the BWW app. It used to only take 10-15 minutes after you ordered in the restaurant. After packing myself into a mask wearing red-faced and loud-as-a-typhoon horde of customers, and trying to hear my name called over the noise, I realized there were no chicken wings on planet Earth worth visiting this location. I asked for a refund and made my way home. I called customer service....ah....gain...and reminded them that I wanted my refund from the week before last that they'd agreed to. The manager was kind enough to call me, but said it would be easier to give me a gift card that to look up the old transaction that whoever was supposed to take care of didn't. Let's reason through this: You gave me terrible food. You said I'd get a refund. I gave you a second chance, you were super late and played the "a few minutes..." game. You seem to have lost the information about my orignal refund. And the way to solve this is to accept a gift card to your crowded, loud, terrible food-making restaurant. I'll pass, no thanks! Offering me a "spin the wheel chance" at your sketchy food in an overcrowded restaurant full of long waiting people isn't really an offer I appreciate. You can't make good food consitently. You can't keep track of refunds, you can't deliver on time.....why not just shut down until you can get it right? read more

We are the regulars at the bar at BWWs. I don't recall ever having sat outside of the bar area, and rarely do we not sit at the bar rail. We go at least once, sometimes twice a week. The wings are delicious, the beer is cold, and the bartenders are friendly and attentive. As a general rule in Wichita you will get the best service sitting at the bar. Buffalo Wild Wings is no exception... The closer you sit to the taps, the happier you will be when the game is over even if you lose! read more
