Stopped in after making a day trip up to Wichita, and I was really impressed with this place! When you go in it doesn't look like much but they have everything from fried okra to gator. I tried the chicken with fries, fried okra, and a side of fried pickles and everything was delicious. It wasn't overly greasy like normal fried foods are, and everything was very fairly priced. They have several different sauces to choose from, but I would recommend getting the Shack sauce. This sauce was unique and paired well with everything I ordered. The staff was friendly, and the only thing I left here wishing is that they had one closer to KC! If you're looking to try out a new place, I'd recommend stopping here ! read more

My wife has been wanting to try this place for a long time. They were incredibly busy and the wait was fairly long but they told us that when we came in. We had chicken, shrimp, and catfish and they were all excellent. The food is prepared fresh and the service was friendly. We definitely will be back. read more

A nice, simple, down-home sort of place. It feels like they're still finding their footing as of October 2018 (they opened in late August), but I see potential. My chicken tenders were crispy, tender, moist, tasted homemade and not too greasy, although the spices were somewhat minimal. The house sauce was a standard sort of mayo/ketchup/sriracha fry sauce with a bit of a tang, and it went well with everything. It's nice to have a local fast fried food place in the neighborhood that I can enjoy in less than an hour on a weekday (and costs less than $10). I'll certainly be back. read more

My family had visited a few weeks ago and ordered the shrimp po boy. For $11, I would have expected more than shrimp on a bun with no sauce or lettuce., or anything else put on a po boy. We didn't find this out until after we came home. We have eaten po boys at other places, this was a bad disappoint for paying the high price. Cheaper, better options are out there. read more

1.9.21 I ordered online for pickup. Stated that the food would be ready between 5:50-5:55. My husband got there at 5:55 and signed for the order. He said it looked like they were backed up cause they had food containers lining the counter. While he waited a gentleman came in and ordered Catfish and fries. When the gentleman was checking out they told him they had added a piece of fish since he had to wait. My husband finally got our order at 6:15 with no apology or anything for it taking longer. Once he got the food home it was like they had cooked different parts of the order at different times. Some of it was still warm and some was cold. Not sure we will go back with the food not being good and it taking so long. read more

worst place ever, went there this past Monday to eat and stood there for ever without anyone greeting us, and there were only 2 people sitting eating, so they weren't busy. we walked out without anyone saying sorry can we help you or anything. this place will be closed within 3 months. but we did end up at the Wichita Fish Market on douglas best place in town for gator and seafood. please don't waste your time or money at a place that don't care you or your business. read more

I tried this place recently and found it to be very good. I ordered a 4 piece tender with Shak sauce (delicious) and a side of mac and cheese. The side is a little small but very tasty. Would have like another spoonful or two. I also ordered a half pound of chicken livers. I really liked them! Quick and friendly service! I will for sure go back for more. read more
