We came here because this restaurant got five stars in TimeOut, and it seemed different and cool. We were not disappointed. I was not familiar with sour drinks, except maybe a whiskey sour or an amaretto sour, but they had all different types of sour drinks, bourbon, tequila, and gin based. I had a gin-based drink that was raspberry flavored and very sour and yummy. My friend had a chocolate cherry bourbon-based one that was quite good, and my sister had a tequila spicy sour. However, the chicken is the star here. I ordered fried chicken that came with pickled watermelon, it was delicious perfectly cooked and seasoned properly. The pickled watermelon was a lovely balance and a nice surprise. My sister and my friend got chicken tenders. I think we missed the mark because the chicken sandwiches seem to be the thing to order here. As we saw them coming out, we were disappointed that we had not ordered the sandwiches, which are piled a mile high and come in all different interesting combinations. They have a kimchi chicken sandwich, a Korean style chicken sandwich etc. If we go back, I would definitely order one of those. This place is not touristy. We stopped in to read the menu and After seeing a few meals come out of the kitchen window we were convinced we needed to try this place. These fried chicken tenders were absolutely the best. Everything we ordered was great. Only regret is not ordering more dipping sauces because I'm sure they're all delicious. The chalkboard sign in the front of the restaurant said "like KFC on magic mushrooms" and it was quite true. Very good food, nice atmosphere and the staff were all awesome as well. read more

Fantastic korean fried chicken. Service is really quick as well. I just about always get the chicken tenders. They're really good and generally not very oily (though every now and then they'll be dripping in oil so you gotta kinda keep that in mind. I love 'em because they have some really good seasoning on them. They also allow the sauces to shine. My favorite was the korean bbq until they took it off the menu cuz someone stopped selling it. Damn shame, it was heavenly. I also quite like the gochujang mayo and the hot sauce. I've also gotten the K-Pop sandwich which is very good though a bit much all things consdiered. large sandwich. We were left starving after seeing a play and luckily stumbled upon Chick N' Sours a spot open late. The chicken was average however the pickled watermelon salad was amazing; both tangy and refreshing. Out server was wonderful. read more

This place was a hidden gem with not enough reviews! I did plenty of research looking for the top restaurants in London before our trip but this one caught our eye one day based on the name so we went back for dinner. We lucked out without a reservation as it was a small place like everything else in London and were seated right away around 8pm. So now the food- the (non spicy) chicken was to die for! After seeing the size of the sandwich (not small), I opted for the tenders because it looked huge but my husband got it. Of course I had to try it, and WOW! So good! Nicely battered, juicy deep fried chicken with amazing Dripping Fries with friendly service surrounded by hip decor.... need I say more? This quick dinner stop was definitely a memorable one. The Disco Wing appetizers were nice and crispy, but not overly battered and well seasoned. The K-pop and The General were delicious chicken sandwiches, again, well battered with a a crunch, but not so over battered to overpower the juicy chicken inside. The Dripping Fries were amazingly flavored, to the point no ketchup or other seasonings were required. Service was friendly and prompt. The environment was hip without being overly trendy. I loved the metal printing press plate accent wall, very unique concept for an accent wall. Who could say no to fried chicken?? YASSSSSS!! this is the right place to go! Me and my fiancé were on our way from covent garden to soho when we saw this little crowded place. We stopped in front of the restaurant simply because other pedestrians stopped and they were checking out the menu. The kitchen is a part of the reception area so that is the first thing guests will see when they enter and what we saw was good enough to make us come back the very next day. We ordered the szechuan aubergine, naked disco wings and hot and sour pineapple. They are all tasty!! The staff suggested sriracha and mayo dip to go with the wings. The dip is not too spicy but it slowly burns in your mouth, which is nice and kind to those of you who can't handle spicy food. The wings are crispy and perfectly battered and fried with oil that does not mess with your throat. I like fried stuff and I'd like to keep myself away from bad 'oils'. A good indicator is that after you eat something fried but you don't feel anything sticky or irritated your throat, it means the oil is clean and it has not been reused. Szechuan aubergine - 10! I like vegetable and I like friend stuff. Win! Tastes like tempura with yummy sauce. Hot and sour pineapple - 9. I like hot and sour food and this one tastes very much like "rujak" or fruit salad from my home country, Indonesia. This one is nice to go with all the fried stuff you are eating. As mains, my fiancé ordered the K-Pop bun. After all that wings we had eaten, the bun seemed to be too much. He thinks the bun is so soft it crumbles very easily while you eat and the chicken batter was different from the standard. The texture of the chicken was apparently harder to bite into. Overall good but not as impressive as the other chicken dishes. I stayed with the wings and challenged myself to try the "hot and numbing" disco wings. It is the highest level of spiciness but it turned out to be quite manageable, especially when you dip it into blue cheese or the sriracha and mayo dips. I have to say, though, the "naked" disco wings are better ;). Drinks! you should definitely try their housemade soda. They mix watermelon juice and lemonade so it is sweet and sour, just the right balance. Order two because it is served in a short glass. Sides - we ordered the pickled watermelon, which I think is a must-try. It is a bowl of cut watermelon, chilli, mint, coriander leaves, splash of lemon and sprinkle of nuts. It is a gorgeous salad and perfect to combine with the wings. We are very satisfied with the food they serve and will definitely take some friends another time. read more

Perfectly decent, tasty chicken. We had the set menu deal which came with all sorts of tasty side dishes, and a couple of sets of wings and dipping fingers, as well as a fishbowl cocktail to share. The tables are a little small to house all the small plates - something they could maybe consider working on in the way they serve the food - but everything we ate was pretty tasty. I only wish I'd bought a couple more chicken-based dishes as well, but that said, we were completely stuffed by the end, so not sure I'd have managed it. This place is absolutely hippy. But you definitely have to reserve seats to eat here. Food portions are big!! I ordered the nachos , Korean gochujang burger and some slaw - really struggle to finish all of it. My advice is to order burger and a starter ! That will cost you close to £20 without drinks. You could also cut the starter and get a beer :) The music is however very loud and it is difficult to have a discussion with your colleagues and friends. This was the third time we'd tried to get in and success! We got in with just a 5min wait. You can actually reserve here, but we always decide to ask when we're in the area. I was a little disappointed when I looked at the menu - I was so hungry and couldn't imagine chicken and chips would be so filling - however I was wrong! The fried chicken - mmmmmm now that's what I'm talking about! I went for the simple house fry and i got served two meaty chunks of juicy fried chicken with an exceptionally crunchy and not oily exterior. It's like a gourmet quality KFC basically! I've only done take away from here, so I'm not sure about the atmosphere, but I can say that we've enjoyed the food. The fried chicken is not quite as good as Korean fried chicken, but it is pretty close. Crunchy on the outside, and pretty tender/juicy on the inside. The Disco Wings are tasty - we like the Kung Pao flavor. It has a nice, sweet glaze and isn't spicy. We recently had the K-Pop chicken sandwich as well, and it was also very good. It's also a pretty good sized sandwich - good piece of chicken thigh and lots of toppings. Overall, good experience and one day I'd like to come back and dine in. read more

All I could taste was the dough and upon reaching the chicken it was completely tasteless and bland. In any case the quality of the chicken in the UK is so bad as it is that when it's not prepared well, or by people who can't cook, what can I say.
