They've never gotten my order completely correct. Today was the worst though. I ordered 7 tenders, large soda, corn on the cob, mac and cheese, coleslaw, 4 ranch, and a piece of fish. I did not receive my soda, corn, 2 ranch, or coleslaw. And I got 4 tenders instead of 7. How the hell do you forget the drink and 2 sides, then scam me on the chicken? Line was moving unacceptably slow for 11AM on a Sunday. Apparently the number 7 as in "7-piece tender combo" actually only means 6, because that's what they gave me. The Mac-and-cheese tasted like spackle. My kid, normally a Mac-and-cheese fiend, wouldn't eat it. I have never had a bad experience at Chicken Express before now. read more

I stopped by on Friday while passing through town. This was a 30 minute wait for food. I ordered inside. There was no urgency nothing. The Customer Service is not there. The restrooms were not clean. The TVs were not working. Nothing to do while you wait. They gave me the wrong food that I ordered. Part of the food was hot and the rest was warm at best. The chicken was well overcooked or under the light for a while. It was tough. I was very disappointed in this place. read more

My bottomless pit son needed more food about an hour after he ate dinner... so we went through the drive through here. We used to eat at chicken express quite a bit a while ago, but since moving to Austin we just don't go there. My son got 4 strips, rolls, and corn nuggets. The corn nuggets were for me... I just love these things! I mean come on it's deep fried sweet cream corn! What more could you ask for? Literally little cholesterol nuggets with all kinds of yummy goodness! My boy inhaled the chicken and the rolls (he had me buy two extra rolls and he ate all 3!) yeah the rolls are good. It was hard to hear at the speaker... like an old comedy bit... but it was raining hard so I am saying that was the reason. Service was fast and nice though. It's probably a good thing there is not one near us at home... I have a feeling those cholesterol bombs would find their way home much more often! read more

Rude staff, barely mumble at the registers They called our number, we got up and they gave it to the wrong person and then when we tried to tell them because the guy opened up and started eating! The staff was less than helpful to remake our order and the replacement on our side of mashed potatoes were half full! And took 20 minutes to get our replacement fish!!!Terrible do not recommend!!!! read more

I really wish I could give this place less than a star. After waiting at the speaker to place an order for 5 minutes I asked "hello?" And was told "one second please" and then waited for another 10 minutes before my order was actually taken. Once I had gotten to the window service was again slow as molasses and order incorrect, and service was rude as could be. I would recommend driving past this chicken express and going the extra hour to the next one. read more

Shows they close at 10:00 but at 9:23 we and another car pulled up to order and they turned the lights and menu lights off and didn't answer the intercom. Talk about awful service, and a busy travel day they are missing a lot of business! read more

We stop here on ever road trip bw my home town and Houston. It's always great but our last 2 stops have been even better bc of a fantastic employee by the name of Tyquez (so?)! He's so kind, charismatic, personable, and goes above and beyond. He's always in a great mood, even on Sunday afternoons. Today as my daughter and I where driving through Hearn on our way to Austin. We made a quick stopped for we had not had lunch. We where so impressed with their spicy chicken we are regular at our local chicken express. But something was different at this location the spicy tenders where so full of flavor. Definitely going to make this location my pit stop sorry College Station Chicken Expres. But there is definitely competition down the road of Hwy 6 in Hearne Tx. stopped by to get a leg and a breast only 3 cars ahead of me . waited 12 minutes to get to the window paid and then came back to tell me they don't have any breast would I like to wait 10 minutes for a breast . Pulled in to the drive thru on Friday at noon. Three cars in the parking lot and none that I could see in the drive thru lane. Rolled down the window to order and was told "we are not taking any more orders". Excuse me i didn't hear you I said. "We are busy and short staffed and not taking any more orders." I ordered a leg, thigh and a breast with fries and a roll. What I got was a spicy leg and 2 spicy thighs with a biscuit. The order was printed out on the receipt but these people in Hearne cannot read. Chicken was too greasy too. Just pass this place by because they too stupid to get it right. What a Great addition to Hearne Texas. Fast service and fresh hot food. Drive thru was quick. We had tenders so everything was ready.
