Great attentive service. We had some cold beers with our meal. And for the appetizer we had half order of onion rings super yummy and fresh. We had some delicious burgers. My husband got the smash bacon burger which was very tasty. And the patriot burger was very good. My dad got the mushroom cheese burger and added jalapeños. After my granddaughter's basketball game in Arlington, we stopped at Bubba's 33 in Waco, and it didn't disappoint! The Combo Appetizer was our starter, and we were all about the fried mozzarella sticks (perfectly crunchy and cheesy), fried pickles, and bone-in wings (yes, we upgraded from boneless--it's worth it). The sauces--marinara, ranch, and Bubba sauce--were spot on with every bite. We tried both the Grilled Chicken Salad and the Crispy Fried Chicken Salad(no pic) we forgot Fresh greens, eggs, cheese, tomatoes, red onions, and those crispy potato straws on top made them stand out. Fries on a salad? Absolutely genius. I had the Atlantic Cod, fried in Samuel Adams Boston Lager batter. It was golden, flaky, and came with seasoned fries, coleslaw, and a unique tartar sauce. Definitely a highlight of the meal! Washed it down with some wild strawberry lemonade To-go, we grabbed a large pepperoni pizza, which was fantastic. Crispy crust, gooey cheese, and the perfect amount of pepperoni! The vibe here is awesome. You can watch sports on all the TVs, That Texas and A&M bball game was a nail biter but they also had a music video channel playing, which kept the energy fun and lively. Tried Bubba's tonight for dinner. The food was Very good. I had the cheeseburger with tater tots. The burger tastes great, although I did sub mustard for the bubba sauce. It was cooked perfectly medium and the tots were good. My wife had the veggie pizza with a side salad. I tried a slice and it was very good. Our waitress was very attentive and provided great service. The place itself is large and somewhat noisy. But hey it's a sports bar. read more

We stopped by Bubba's in Waco after traveling from a state track meet. The food and service were amazing! We had a party of ten (7 children) and Natalia did an awesome job with everything. She answered questions about food options, checked on us frequently and made sure we always had refills. Our food was correct after we messed up her ordering system. I commend her for her friendly service and interaction with us. She even recognized my daughter's medal from the track meet. Natalie is the perfect example of kindness and hard working! So conflicted about this one, we were traveling through Waco and decided to stay two nights to enjoy the Mammoth National Park & the Texas Ranger's Museum. So the first night we ate dinner at Bubba's and the food was great, Kaeden was the waiter and went above and beyond even though they were very busy. He saw me looking at a tv on the side and offered to change it to in front of me! Then I asked if I could have a half portion of the strawberry salad if possible and he made it happen! He was so pleasant and checked on the table at least 7 times! That is way above and beyond great service! They were super busy too! Because of that great service and good food, we went the second night for dinner and the waitress named Ki or Kiera was horrible, she never refilled my water, she never brought me what I had asked for, she did not check on us and I had to go to the kitchen and the hostess desk twice to get some service, the kicker was they were not even busy the second night! I was looking for something relaxing and not too heavy. The atmosphere in Bubba's 33 was great just before the dinner rush. Wait staff were extremely pleasant and helpful in making decisions. Since I wasn't terribly hungry, they recommended a child's pizza. I wasn't blown away by the food, but it was fine. Still a great place for lunch on our Waco trips - menu is got enough variety for whatever you want, and everything comes out tasty and fresh. Kind of a watch sports while loud music plays sort of place. We stopped in because we had a couple of hours before a movie and had not really thought about a plan for dinner. The atmosphere wasn't really our thing, so we honestly were not expecting much. We were surprised, however, that our absolutely delightful and patient waitress offered a couple of suggestions and was attentive without hovering. In fact, they were not very busy, and she was incredibly patient with us. We shared a boom boom shrimp appetizer and the Tuesday special pizza. Both turned out to be super fresh, well-prepared, and delicious! The veggies on top were obviously fresh. They even served red bell peppers rather than green like most places. (Yay) The pizza was not overly saucy or cheesy. It was cooked to perfection. We went in a little tired, but we came out refreshed with a huge to-go box in tow. Was looking for the Bubba's written about in Texas Highways magazine. Even though this wasn't the right place, I found a restaurant with great food and service. I had the bacon burger, and it was delicious. The bartender was my server. She was still over-the-top in her incredible service in spite of not being an alcohol drinker. On 5/10/2025 I was having my son's birthday dinner there.. I had called several times prior to make sure it would be enough room and was told yes each time.. well when the time came on 5/10/2025 all the guest showed up at 530 and we had to wait til 7pm just to be seated.. A hour and a half .. they had the patio which was not being used and when we asked to use it we were told it was closed due to not having enough staff... we had over 30 ppl and had to wait til ppl start leaving from the back area to be seated... Some of our guest started to leave since the wait was so long.. knowing it was graduation and Mother's day weekend you think you would be over staffed instead of under staffed.. The lady at the front kept saying the patio was closed but never gave us a reason why.. I have always had birthday dinners at Bubbas from mines to my kids but after Saturday we will find another location.. Waiting 1.5 hours to be seated, service was horrible.. at the end the servers couldn't get out tickets right we had to be there an extra hour just for them to get the ppl their right tickets... almost ruined my son's birthday.. Chicken tenders we brought them home because I'm going to take them to Baylor University to have them tested, to see what the fuck they actually are. My grandson's pizza literally burnt. Took an hour to get our food the french fries were literally cold. She was gonna take them back, but I didn't want them to just re-deep fry them. They get an A+ for not been consistent. read more
