The pork chops had a dark gravy that was almost barbecued and was a little spicy so our table didn't quite care for those so they went with the country fried steak in a second helping of fried chicken. It got busier and the fried chicken was a bit dry the second time better to do chicken salad than to eat hot although I do like piping hot fried chicken! Side dishes vary 7 to 9 different sides. They automatically bring to the table that carrot soufflé is one of our favorites. I've yet to replicate. They have Yukon gold mashed potatoes, gravy beans, and whatever beans of the day,cream corn, green beans, corn salad, fresh rolls, and fresh skillet cornbread with delicious rail butter served on a slab and room temperature so it's easy to spread. There are several meats to choose from catfish and pork chops and fried chicken buttermilk chicken, which wasn't served on Saturday but is awesome. There were pork chops, country ham there was boiled cabbage, and the time before there were pickles and apple butter and cottage cheese years ago, so their sides vary but the carrot soufflé is still wonderful.
