I usually am not a fan of someone else making my salad, and my curry chicken salad is often asked for and I enjoy more flavor and spice so some are too bland. I also loved the broccoli salad, without bacon. Fresh, crunchy and a little sweet! Perfection in a bowl. I would like a bigger piece of lettuce greens under my salad so I will ask next time. I love chicken salad chick, however, I will not be returning to this location. Not only was my order wrong, there was a bug mixed into my chicken salad. When we called to speak to the owner, he said that he has been a franchise owner for 7 years and has seen this happen often. I find this to be absolutely disgusting and unacceptable. I finally had my first Chicken Salad Chick experience, and it was fantastic. I highly recommend it for a great, light lunch. And by light, I mean "not fried." The meals come with plenty of food. You can select from a variety of chicken salad flavors and decide if you want it as a sandwich or just a scoop. Each entree comes with a great side selection -- different salad options, soup, fruit, chips, or mac & cheese. I ordered the Kickin' Kay Lynne sandwich on a croissant. As the name would imply, it's a bit spicy and contains Buffalo sauce, jalapenos, and even Sriracha! For my side, I tried the Chicken Tortilla Soup. Both the sandwich and soup were delicious and filling. For a drink, I drank iced tea with my meal, but when I refilled my cup, I got strawberry lemonade to go. Each meal comes with a little cookie for dessert, too. It all really hit the spot. The dining room was really cute, too. I had lunch here last week as it was near where I was staying and therefore convenient. I understand it is a chain but one I wasn't familiar with. Parking is plentiful in the shopping center it's located in. At the counter and after receiving a taste sample of 2 of its chicken salads, I chose a sandwich of Olivia's old south chicken salad. It's chicken salad with egg and pickle added into the mixture. I got the combo and chose the loaded potato soup and an iced tea from the self serve drink fountain. With tax it was $14.37. The meal was ready in about 5 minutes and included a pickle spear and a small packaged cookie for an unexpected treat. The croissant and chicken salad included lettuce and tomato (which I asked for) and was very good tasting. The Olivia version with the added egg and pickle reminded me of the kind of chicken salad I loved as a kid. The soup was equally good and I was glad I ordered it. The cookie was delicious and that little extra that makes restaurants like this special. During the meal they had nice Christmas music playing in the background. I had the signature sandwich (Classic Carol), the chicken salad with melted provolone cheese on a croissant. As a side, I had the loaded baked potato soup, which was amazing. It was basically the star of the show. Nice clean eating environment. My wife, who is gluten-free, could not have their croissants or any bread as there's no gluten-free bread available. Ok... first off the food itself, on the rare occasion they get your order correct is GREAT. So why the one star???? Because their customer service is a -4. Arrived at 11:35 when there not even busy on our lunch break. From the time we ordered to the time the correct order arrived we over 20 minutes. For a kitchen that isn't cooking anything this is ridiculous. It's literally scooping product on the bread, adding side and send order out. Unacceptable for a lunch spot to tale soooo long for a sandwich. Now the real issues here. No adults running the place. Our order after waiting all that time wasn't even correct. But this is the owner/management's fault. Kitchen errors happen, sure, but the management should have processes in place to catch/correct these. The expediter is clearly working hard, but should not be in that position. She ihas special need, so kudos for the hire, but find a better position where she can. Thrive. Watching for 20 minutes, she is clearly just reading table numbers and running orders out. She is not actually cross referencing the ticket to make sure order is correct. Table next to us had 2 errors (missing side, wrong bread). The expedite role is to ensure order is correct BEFORE leaving the line. A good expedite will eliminate a high % of errors as well as help Increase speed. Both areas this place needs to overhaul Next issue is service. Mistakes happen, it's how you deal with them that matters. So when both our order were in correct. We brought them back to the counter. I asked to speak to a manager and the girl at the register snapped 'I am the manager' tone alone makes guest not want to return. When I explained the error, instead of simply saying 'sorry, let me correct this'... she started 'explaining' that the were 'short staffed". Don't 'debate' the customer and try to justify the error. Just fix the problem and move on. This again is a management/owner issue. Not properly training your employees how to handle the mistakes that occur. We tried this place when they first opened, and same basic issues, great food, painfully slow wait times, and unexceptional customer service by the 'kids' running it. We tried is again hoping the improved/fixed processes, and saw no positive changes. Front of house need training, there needs to be a manager that exudes professionalism. Owner has a good franchise that they are letting under trained/under qualified people run. There are now 2 other locations, we MAY try, but this one is just to painfully slow with rude, argumentative staff. #SkipThisPlaceSadly read more

I was visiting Orlando with my cousin, his kids, my aunt and my mama pre-COVID, and mama saw this location and started screaming about how much she loved the place. I straight up could hear the excitement in her voice. I'd never heard of it and, being a lover of chicken salad, decided to have a girl's lunch so we stopped. This place is absolutely adorable. From the green and white striped wallpaper to the soft booths, the restaurant screams "casual elegance." Even the little logo is the cutest thing ever. The restaurant is totally Southern chic, and as advertised, you totally want to give the entire place a hug the moment you set foot inside. The menu is a little confusing, but I opted for a 3 scoop plate. I got the Classic Carol (traditional chicken salad), Lauryn's Lemon Basil (OMG the best chicken salad I have ever put in my mouth), and a scoop of the traditional pimento cheese (very good, but super heavy). It was an excellent assortment, and everything was fresh and delicious. The cheerful and friendly associate behind the register was happy to give me free samples since it was my first time in the store. (I would recommend the Barbie-Q and Sassy Scotty chicken salads as well, so good). I was pleased with the portion sizes. The salads are served in very large ice cream scoop type mounds, with a generous helping of whole wheat Captain's Wafers crackers. For low carbers, they were super accommodating and gave me extra lettuce leaves to wrap around my chicken salad! Of course, the crackers are what you really want, so just get those. As is the case with most restaurants in the South, the freshly brewed iced tea is absolutely phenomenal. Available in sweet and unsweet varieties, you will want to get a cup of this (free refills). My lunch, which consisted of 3 large scoops of salad plus crackers and a large iced tea came to $12 and some change. There are some side dishes (fruit, broccoli salad, mac and cheese), soups (which change daily and range from potato to chicken noodle), and toasted sandwiches (trying to appeal to the guys), but purists will want to stick to the scoops. I hate to stereotype, but this is a place for women for sure. I feel like it's my best friend, but in quick service restaurant form. Pro tips: every meal comes with an individually wrapped buttercream cookie (yummy and so cute), make sure you sign up for the free rewards program via an app on your phone, and check your receipt for a survey that'll give you $1 off your next visit. After hearing the charming, down to earth, and humorous Stacy Brown on my favorite podcast "How I Built This" by Guy Raz , I just HAD to try this Chicken Salad that had taken her community by storm. I listened to the Podcast so long ago, but I seem to remember that she started out in a VERY small location and had only three different flavors of Chicken Salad. Now she has 139 locations and has 12 different flavors on the menu! Cheers to your success Stacy! The concept is simple: good chicken salad with some fresh sides. The decor and branding has a very Windows 98 vibe to me. There's no other way to really say it. The bathrooms are filled with framed 8.5 x 11 signs with cute sayings like "My mother always taught me that there are two things we are allowed to enjoy but never talk about: mayonnaise and money." Diatribe: In the mens room, there seems to be a whole trope going on with the signs about how men are being dragged to the place by their wives and how it's ok to say "The chicken salad with the grapes" if you're fragile masculinity is too uncomfortable saying "Fancy Nancy." I mean... I see where she's going with this... but I just don't love this whole idea to start with. I'm sure that seems a bit more sensitive than I'm used too being, but I just don't love feeding into the idea that all men should be one way, that I should be embarrassed about saying Jalapeno Holly, or that me going in and enjoying chicken salad alone and not being dragged by the ear somehow makes me less of a man. This won't keep me from coming back and I think it's probably a little bit of a cultural disconnect from where she started the company is Alabama, I'm just giving some feedback about how I felt.
