Hot N Juicy Crawfish is the one place you definitely need to stop at while visiting Florida. My first few times I actually dined in at the locations in Las Vegas and Los Angeles. However, this is definitely the best one yet. We came in around 9PM and were amazingly greeted by the host. She was so friendly and welcoming so I could already tell our experience here was going to my great. Our server, Martin was amazing. He was so helpful, friendly, and attentive. We each order our own bags of seafood boil. The seafood tastes very fresh and even though crawfish was not in season at the moment it was still really good. Sadly, this place does not do non spicy so i ordered the first level of heat which was actually spicier than my boyfriends who ordered the mild. It was actually really good but had me drinking lots of water because of the spice. I love how you can add one piece of egg or one piece of whatever you want because most places will have you order by three. Their special sauce is literally to die for. It's honestly is the best sauce I have ever tried for seafood boil. Anyways, I would 1000% recommend coming here. The service here was top tier even though it's not a fine dining restaurant. When it came time to pay, everyone noticed that the server charged extra items to their bill. On my bill specifically I ordered drinks for everyone and it was doubled the units per drink. This place was alright, if I had a craving for seafood boil I would maybe go here. The seafood seemed to look of okay quality and tasted just as it should. I got the spicy level and it wasn't spicy at all, so if you like spice I would recommend to maybe go a level higher. If I'm being honest, my favorite part would have to be the calamari! It was fun to eat it in the pieces it was cut up into-and I liked to dip it in my seafood boil sauce. When my friend and I went, it was pretty empty, but regardless it felt spacious. I came on the weekday Tuesday around 5:30 PM with my two kids without reservations. Traveling always from Tampa Florida. The drive time is roughly about almost 2 hours. our absolute favorite here is that étouffée because you will not find it anywhere else. It's the BEST here.. all of the food always comes out hot and ready so definitely no complaints. Our service is always good worthy of an overall 4 star experience. my family and I enjoyed the hot and juicy flavor medium & spicy. Side note - we enjoy coming here on a Friday or Saturday more so than a weekday. Obviously, if you're coming on the weekend, there might be a slight wait time, but we've never had any issues because they are very roomy and can accommodate. Came here with friends after work and absolutely loved the atmosphere, service, and especially the food. Didn't get the crawfish special, but sampled some of my friends' in a table. Crawfish come authentically in a plastic bag with a bib on the side and you can choose from different cajun flavors like lemon pepper or the house Hot n Juicy style. I personally got the crawfish etouffee and shrimp in a bag that comes with red potato, corn, and sausage. Good portion size on etoufee and overall good seafood quality. Seafood is served by the pound and can get pricey but the taste explosion that happens with your first bite is completely worth it. Not at all a fancy place, just a place to literally dig into your food, get your hands and mouth dirty with great food sort of meal. read more

The crawfish came out hot and spicy, but when I opened it up, the color was just not right. It was darker than usual and so it made me think it wasn't as fresh. We put a medium spice and garlic butter seasoning. The sauce came out amazing. We kept dipping everything back in the sauce. We found this was plenty for two to share. First visit to Hot N Juicy and it was pretty good. We all ordered the fried shrimp basket with fries. This included 5 butterflied fried shrimp with a cornmeal batter. The flavor was nice and 5 shrimp were more than enough. The restaurant doesn't offer fresh brewed iced tea so that's a big negative for us as we don't drink sodas and iced tea out of the machine is just gross. Our server was Mario and he was really nice. Looking for somewhere to eat within walking distance and came upon this location and wanted to try it just because of the restaurant name. I hate I was not very hungry at all or I would have gotten something in a bag. I got the fried oysters and the husband got the fried catfish. Both were really good. I especially liked the batter on the catfish and the boom boom sauce is on point. The garlic butter sauce has actual chunks of garlic. I had the Cajun spicy legs and I loved them because I love spicy food. The corn on the cob was juicy and the Cajun fries were spicy and crispy. However, I did not like the calamari at at all. THIS PLACE WILL GIVE YOU FOOD POISONING: Last night for dinner with my girlfriend. We flew in from Texas and it was our first meal in Florida and our first night of vacation for my birthday. I had a huge craving for some good crawfish but little did we know....We should have seen the red flag when there were only 2 other occupied tables at the restaurant. We came here off of a recommendation but never will we ever eat here again......To begin, service was fine. Calamari was good given we were starving. The actual meal was absolutely AWFUL. Apparently their seasonings are wet. So their lemon pepper "seasoning" is a brown soupy slush of oil and mess. The sausage should not be advertised as such because I've never in my life had sausage in a crawfish boil that thin. FYI it it just shaving of sausage so thin they curl. Very gross when mixed in the brow slush. Corn was okay. Potatoes did not hold any flavor whatsoever so we tried ordering more seasoning thinking they would bring us the normal dry seasoning that is traditionally eaten with crawfish. No....we received more brown slush for an extra charge. The quality of the crawfish was also unimpressive. Relatively small considering we are still in season. Now to get to the actual worst part------- The WORSTTT food poisoning I've had in my LIFE. First night of vacation spent violently throwing up until 4 in the morning causing us to miss our plans and almost go to the ER from severe dehydration caused by eating at this place. Please spare your health, your vacation, and you money. Eating at this place cost me my vacation, my health, and not to mention the excessive pricing for the quality. They need to re-label their Spicy to Baby Spicy, that's how mild the sauce was. My boyfriend got the same thing except Extra Spicy and it was NOT SPICY EITHER! I was really hoping to burn my mouth until I was in so much pain that I couldn't take it anymore and my butthole after the meal was over, but nevertheless neither of those things happened. The regular fries were bland, no salt. I would recommend the cajun fries. Not sure if my expectations are too high, but I've been here twice and I've had the same reaction. Service (3/5): Not sure if my waitress was just flustered, but she kept forgetting things she said she would get for us: lemon, ketchup, & hot sauce. Now, I'm not hard to please, but it was taking a while to get us what we wanted and we had to remind her on multiple occasions what we needed. I returned the food and the manager came back and lied so more trying to make me believe that their carp was bigger than everywhere else and that those 4 skinny legs was a half pound. We ate at this restaurant 4 years ago and then today and the quality of the seafood has gone down significantly. We have a large group here in Florida for vacation. There were some of us who were trying Hot and Juicy for the first time and were excited to try this out. Sad to say the meal left us hungry, disappointed and worried for our health. We ordered $200 worth of food takeout for 8 adults on a Sunday for 7 PM pickup. The shrimp was NOT fresh. There were black dots on the shrimp and the texture was soft and mushy. We thought only the first couple of shrimp would have this texture and it ended up being at least 90% of the bag. Seemed like we were eating thawed and refrozen shrimp that had been refrozen multiple times. It was not "Hot and Juicy" and did not own up to the hype - poor quality. The crawfish was frozen - we knew that going in and ordered a smaller amount at least the sauce was better than the shrimp. The fried food was better. This experience ruined our first takeout dinner in Florida. Don't waste your stomach or health on this joint. When we called about the issue, the manager said we would have to drop the food off to get our money back. Time wasted in the car - 80 mins with traffic so far. Avoid this location - the seafood is NOT fresh and is a safety hazard for your family. What a disappointing experience! Update: we returned the food and got 70% of our money back refunded.
