Ambiance was nice. Ate inside as music was too loud to have any conversation. Waitress promptly took our order after answering our questions. Before food arrived, we had a spilled water incident which no one came to help. Another server brought our food out. We requested a knife for the pork chops, a glass of water and a plate/basket to split the 1/2 chicken. We got nothing. The onion rings were dripping oil. The chicken was way overcooked, dry. Our server never checked on us. At the end, we requested our check. She didn't know who our server was. She didn't remember that she took our order. She couldn't believe that our table was hers. Chicken is very good. Menu isn't too varied. They do have daily specials and lunch specials. Live music on the weekends. Even if you see the parking lot is crowded, stop anyway. There are plenty of tables inside and out. Fast service most all of the time. read more

Was out touring Route 66 joints and decided to stop in. Driest fried chicken I ever ate but the jalapeño cornbread wasn't bad.

I can no longer support this establishment when I see the limited number of workers work their tail off and customers getting upset that they haven't received their (bar drinks) or are waiting an hour or more for their food. It's not the employees fault!!!! This comes down to the owner. This man has made a lot of money over the years filling up his pockets and opening up 2 new places....which cost a lot of money. He has BIG IDEAS, BIG PLANS for the future. I'm happy that he's had success in his business. But he needs to humble himself and realize sometimes it all comes at a cost as well. Sometimes people see the $$$ and think....I could make more if....... Well, yes a business can make more if..... But if a business doesn't have the employees to work....how does it run efficiently and effectively. This is my case in point. He has expanded his restaurant and created another location. If you go on a Friday or Saturday evening ( most profitable days) it's crazy busy. There are not enough employees working. With the increased inflation and customers having less money in their pockets to spend eating out.....they are not going to keep coming back here when there are not enough people to serve you. It's not a relaxing environment when customers all around you are upset about how long everything is taking. He needs to figure it out soon. It is what it is and it's pretty good. It's not fancy and they don't try to be but the food was very good; pork chops, strips wings and the traditional fried chicken. The Mac and Cheese was really good. Prices were good especially considering the large portions and quality. We had a party of 7 and had great service by Aiden. Worth the drive. read more

I wanted this place to be good, but just did not deliver. For a place that only serves chicken you'd expect to get the best chicken ever, but you could get the same thing for way less at any fast food chicken restaurant. I had the green beans as my side and they really redeemed the meal. My sauces were the hot sauce and ranch. Both were okay.. ranch was a lot of mayo and the hot sauce tasted like an Asian sweet and sour sauce. The service was all over the place. They had at least a dozen staff members but you'd be lucky to have them actually check on you. The actual restaurant looks and feels how you'd want every little dinner on Route 66 to be like. Overall if you're around and want to try it I wouldn't stop you but don't expect to be blown away. read more

Very friendly service, lots of parking, lots of seating. Rustic interior with booths, small and large tables. Limited menu but owner said they are expanding. Had family lunch today. Was pretty cool place. The chicken was delicious. My twins had the wings-they said they were delicious too. Try the okra and green beans. They are so good!!! Potato wedges are huge! Oh and the sweet tea is good too :) live music while you eat :) They also gave us a veterans discount on our meal. read more

Chicken was great. New location so we were new to trying Chicken Shack for the first time. It's really impressed how moist the chicken was was not expecting it to be that great but it was amazing. Also love the coleslaw. The white gravy was also something new for us with chicken, and it was so good with the chicken. read more

Waited 15 mins for our waters and about 30 mins before they took our order. It wasn't busy. The servers sort of argued over who was supposed to serve us and then left us to fend for ourselves. Two staff members there were pleasant so I gave each of them a star. Food was okay. I liked their last location and understand they just opened this one so I hope the food and service gets better over time. read more

the food tonight at chicken shack was the worst food ever eaten there in 6 yrs.it look bad.the buffett was dry and wasnt attended to.had one order of wings and it took 40 minutes to get them.people who came in 10 minutes after us got their food and done when we got the wings.if this had been my first time there i would never go back again.as a whole they have gone from a 10 to a 3.love the atmosphere though. read more

Same delicious food as in Luther. Theres not much air conditioning right now. A private party took the entire air conditioned space during dinner. Fans on the non air conditioned space didn't help much. I'm sure they will get that fixed. Growing pains. read more

Have always loved the chicken shack! The new location is awesome and we received our food super fast considering the amount of people there. So I have no interest in this place anymore, when it was in Luther it was pretty good. But this location just sucks, the okra is stale and cold. The chicken is over cooked, the wedges are burnt, salt and pepper is gone. The attendance of the tables are low and there was a couple sitting by us that had been waiting for someone to serve them for over 20 minutes. The mens bathroom stall doors have no locks and the urinals are down. This experience has to been down right horrible read more
