We had this delivered from Uber Eats. The delivery went smoothly (it was a little later than originally predicted, but not by much and it didn't impact our experience). We ordered 4 meals: ribs, burnt ends, catfish, pulled pork sandwich and sides for each, such as fried okra, baked beans, potato salad, coleslaw, jalapeno corn, regular corn. One thing that was a bit of a challenge on Uber Eats is the items had slightly different names than their web menu, so we were a little uncertain for instance if corn was just corn or if it was the creamy corn or one of our party was going to order a potato dish of some kind and the names were different enough that we weren't sure it was the same thing. The fried sides, such as the fried okra, was very plentiful but extremely overcooked to the point that one of us threw away most of his portion. I made it through mine eventually but it was not great. I enjoyed the potato salad and the baked beans. The beans were a little overly sweet for me, but they were still pretty good at drowning out the overcooked okra taste. I tried a bite of the coleslaw and hated it. In fact, 3 of us tried it and hated it. I didn't try the corn, but the people who ordered it liked it. The burnt ends, I tried a couple of and they were quite good, but they were over-sauced with a sauce that was too sweet. I hadn't been there before so would have maybe made some special instructions, but yet, they were still good pieces of meat and a good size portion. I'm not a fan of ribs, the person ordering them liked them okay. They weren't exactly "pull off the bone" tender from my observation. So we'll get to my order of the catfish. This is going to sound like a joke, but it was really sunny when we sat down to eat and the catfish was shaved so thin that I could literally see through the fish. It was like breaded paper. I like crispy edges on my catfish, but there was barely any meat. I've never seen catfish "shaved" so thin. The slices were thin like lunch meat. It was such a rip off to get these thin pieces. I let someone try a piece of mine and he wouldn't even finish past one nibble off the piece. We spent about $100 on this order. I didn't complain to Uber Eats because it wasn't their fault, but I definitely was disappointed and wish we'd given my first choice a try, but saw the catfish dinner and that made me want to try Swadley's instead. I'm really disappointed with my recent visit. I paid an extra $2 for brisket and the portion size was shockingly small. It wasn't even a full piece--more like scraps than a proper serving. For the upcharge, I expected something much more substantial. You honestly get more food at Dickey's Barbecue Pit, and they actually weigh their portions, so you know you're getting what you pay for. World Famous (for ribs? BBQ? Drinks? Service?) got my attention, and they're right across the street, literally across the street from where we're staying for the night. There is a huge menu on the wall, easy to ready. People who've been here before, they skip that, and walk right in, they know what they wanted. We should, too, this isn't our first ribs restaurant, but we need to be sure! Our first time, and we've been around 70+ years, this is the first we've heard of them. We ordered: 4 ribs dinner served 2 sides and a roll. Salad (it's a buffet style) and Sweet Beans for our sides. (We've already have 2 corn on the cob-from another restaurant the night before and sweet potato fries & onion rings. These will go with our order we thought. And fruit). Our order was very informative & friendly. Our food arrived quite fast. It was packaged and everything was there. Worst Swadleys. Always makes you pull forward when nobody is even behind you. Takes forever. Also paid $5 for a spoonful of cobbler. Said they ran out of cobbler bowls and Put it in a small foam condiment container. Total rip off. Claimed they weighed it but no way. read more

We love Swadley's although their prices have increased to the point where it has to be a treat. Their sampler platter is consistently good, and I love their baked potato. Service is reasonable, although it is confusing that sometimes they want us to get our own pickles and condiments and sometimes they get it for us. I'm never sure what to expect, and since you order at the counter and need to prepare the tip in advance it is hard to plan for what kind of service you will actually receive. read more

My favorite meal at Swadley's is the smoked chicken dinner. The chicken was so dry, I had to drown it in the sauce to eat it, the roll had been microwaved and was hard and no butter for it. Definitely not worth the $30, we paid for the chicken dinner and a hamburger. The restaurant wasn't very busy and the food was served quickly. My nieces absolutely obsess over Swadley's. The rolls here are so great, sauces are yum and portion sizes are decent. Their go to meal is mac and cheese, the fries (duh) and a meat dish with sausage. I stopped in at Swadleys on my way home from work today and I got the single meat dinner and of course I wanted brisket so bad add an extra charge and then I had them add a Rib which also adds another charge that being said I got little half pieces of brisket and my sides normally or in the past I should say you would get quite a bit. I could see the bottom of the box very little okra very little campfire, tights and then like I said little half pieces of brisket and I got the moist brisket so most of it was fat and very little meat. I am not happy with it. I probably will not go back because you spend that kind of money you should be getting what you pay for and that absolutely was not the case. I just left the Bethany location on Rockwell and ordered the cherry cobbler. It had 3 cherries in the entire bowl and 90% dough! And that is not an exaggeration, 3 cherries and 90% dough, I was so pissed that I ate the 3 cherries and walked out without saying a word! I have been going to the Bethany location for 14 years, but I will never go back, I hate being lied to or being cheated! SWADLEY'S SUCKS!!! I have only ever ordered to-go from Swadleys and only order one thing- the chicken tender meal. I can honestly say these are the best tenders I have had in my life. I get the kickin' option on them, && make sure you get extra of that sauce it comes with (idk what it's called but I could drench that whole meal in it). Even without the sauce, the food had great taste. It comes with the fries (although there are other sides you can choose) and a roll. I'm the type of person who orders one thing and sticks to it, && I never miss an opportunity to eat this meal. Anytime the ladies at work say Swadleys, I immediately place my order. Anyway, back to the review... when I go in to get my orders, I am always greeted by friendly staff who and very nice and willing to accommodate any requests. Mas- produced and over priced. Meat was just ok with seasoning. Fry's were nothing to brag about. Server brings you drinks and bbq sauce, but they don't tell you that till you try to get it yourself and then they almost yell at you. We had eaten at Swadley's in El Reno years ago, and weren't that impressed. We passed by Swadley's in Edmond near Quail Springs all the time, and never stopped because of that prior experience. However, a couple of weeks ago, we did stop, and it was really great! We had their special of the day which was a chicken fried steak sandwich, onion rings, and banana pudding for dessert. Their chicken fried steak was better than Cattleman's!! We were totally impressed with the food, and the service was great as well. Clean restaurant, quick service, and clean restrooms. My wife and I thought we would try Swadley's BBQ restaurant for lunch today. I ordered the catfish and she ordered the two meat tray. We ate half and took the other half home for dinner. My wife did not care for the beans or bbq sauces. I did not like the potato salad, which tasted like it was purchased from a grocery store. We did like the catfish and the the meats. We were surprised at the small portions and the higher prices. We don't think this is a restaurant we will patronize. Everyone's tastes are different, but we really can't recommend Swadley's at this time. read more
