Half broasted chicken with Shack Mac
    Christi R.

The broasted chicken with Shack Mac was really good. The catfish special with okra was just ok. The hush puppies were under cooked but had a good flavor. Service was really slow, but the server was super nice and juggling to-go orders and tables. The killer for me was all the flies. They were all over the windows.

I reserved a side area for my MIL's birthday, there were 25 of us and they were very accommodating. Their chicken is always great but the Friday night special was catfish and a side for $13.95 so I tried it and it was great too! The shack Mac has a smallest hint of jalepino to make it yummy. It's the same great experience but it's in OKC , go check them out. The service is always good & friendly.

Half chicken, potato wedges, fried okra.

We dropped in for dinner today and tried out the chicken. Pretty good overall. We ordered the half chicken with potato wedges and fried okra. The chicken came out with out a crust. I'm thinking that it was boasted. Flavorful and cooked perfectly. The potato wedges were tender & tasty. Our fried okra came out a deep golden brown, crispy, and nearly perfect. Our only concern was the limited menu. We highly recommend Chicken shack 2 go.

Wow! Came to this location on New Years Eve around 1 am and the food and conversation were both amazing. The restaurant was clean and so were the bathrooms. We tried a variety of items, chicken bites, wings (Siracha Bourbon ) potato wedges, gizzards, fries and beer oh my! All the food came out hot and very flavorful! Will definitely be back soon ! And unexpected late night treat !

A sauce should be thrown in for flavor. Chicken was fine, but bland. $1 for sauce is ridiculous. Variety lacking. Okra was way overdone.

The sandwich was made with fresh bread, quality Italian meats and toppings, and had great flavor throughout. The ordering process was simple, and the food came out quickly with a buzzer system that lets you know when it's ready for pickup. The reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 has more to do with the dining experience than the food itself. The dining area felt pretty warm during my visit. I'm not sure if it was because of the heat outside or if the AC wasn't keeping up, but it was noticeable. There was also a fly flying around while I was eating. Another small issue was the water station. Water is self-serve, which is fine, but the cups provided are extremely small, so I found myself getting refills multiple times. The restaurant is also largely self-service, from picking up your food to cleaning up after yourself. That said, the sandwich itself was excellent. Prices are on the premium side, but honestly not out of line with what places like Subway or City Bites charge these days. The quality of the food was very good, and I'd definitely come back for another sandwich.

It's a little noisy, but it's an old warehouse with concrete floors and brick walls. I suppose they could hang some sound dampening material around and that would help. I ordered the egg sausage sandwich on an English muffin. Very tasty, but I've never seen patty sausage so thin. I realize they may want to save on portions, but maybe that's not a great place to save. I guess I could order double sausage. It's REALLY thin. Like slice of bologna thin.

So he decided to make an early afternoon reservation at RH Rooftop for the two of us. From the moment we got up there, it felt so comfortable. There's a genuine energy that pours into this establishment. Demi, our server, was down to earth and kind enough to give us her insight on the dishes she loved. I got the American breakfast, it was delicious! Can't ever go wrong with a classic plate. My fiancé ordered the Italian Benedict, it was rich and savory and beautifully put together. We also got two mini lobster rolls with caviar on them!! That was a really cool and delicious experience The dessert was out of this world! We got the butterscotch creme brûlée (it literally says no words underneath this on the menu, and it's true, NO WORDS!) and the espresso and ice cream dessert. Thank you so much Jenn and Demi for giving us an afternoon we won't forget. We will absolutely be back

I chose RH Rooftop for my birthday dinner expecting a memorable evening, but it turned into one of…read morethe most disappointing dining experiences I've had. It started with the confusing water service. Everyone is asked what type of water they'd like, only to be told the entire table has to choose the same option. Once we agreed to bottled water, they just kept bringing out $10 bottles without asking if we wanted more. Our appetizer took forever because we were told the first batch of artichokes burned. Ironically, the replacement order was burnt too. The restaurant was also out of what seemed like half the menu, including the lobster tail I originally wanted. I was talked into ordering the king crab legs after asking about the portion and being told I'd receive three large legs. Instead, I received two tiny legs that certainly didn't look like a half-pound, and they weren't even grilled as requested. The biggest issue was the steaks. Both filet mignons ordered by my husband and another guest were served well done instead of medium rare. We were actually told the restaurant's "blue lighting" was making the steaks look overcooked and that under a different light in the kitchen they were medium rare. That explanation made no sense, especially considering RH Rooftop has a glass ceiling and walls of windows. The staff even admitted other guests had been making the same complaint all week. When the replacement steaks finally arrived, they were clearly cooked correctly without any "special lighting," proving the originals were indeed overcooked. By the time my husband's and the other guest's replacement steaks arrived, the rest of our party had finished eating, and it was nearly closing time. To top it off, an automatic gratuity was added to our party of six without it being mentioned, and after paying our bill we stepped onto the patio for a quick birthday photo. Within minutes, a staff member came out and told us, "We close at 9, so if you guys could wrap it up, that'd be great." Not once did management offer a sincere apology or make any effort to compensate us for the numerous mistakes. For a restaurant with RH Rooftop's prices and reputation, I expected much better service and hospitality especially for a birthday celebration. Instead, we left disappointed, hungry, and feeling like our business didn't matter.

However, I am really tired of their inconsistent approach to requiring identification when ordering alcohol. A few years ago we were there for dinner and we ordered wine. They asked for my DL and I produced it. They asked for my wife's and she didn't have it with her. When we go out she does not take a purse, wallet or phone. So they would not serve her. We left. Then a few years go by and they never ask for ID. Then the next time they want ID. Sometimes they ask for ID, sometimes they don't, and we are well beyond that time in our life where anyone would question whether we are 21. This is the only restrauant, anywhere we have had the ID problem for my wife. Maybe Odell's law is helping the situation. With respect to food and service for this meal it was all very good. This place isn't your typical brunch destination at first glance, but that actually made me even more interested in giving it a try. Parking is street parking only. It is not the worst situation, but depending on the time of day you might need to drive around a little before finding an open spot. It is manageable, just don't expect to pull right up to the door unless you get lucky. Once we walked inside, my party was greeted almost immediately. We were seated quickly, and the space had a warm, inviting feel. It struck a nice balance between classic and modern, almost like a hidden gem that still has a polished, slightly upscale atmosphere. It felt familiar and comfortable, but still special enough for a weekend brunch. Our server was friendly and attentive. He checked on us several times, but always timed it well so it never felt like he was interrupting the conversation or the flow of the meal. I ordered the Okie Breakfast along with the Hot Stack Waffles. The standout item on the plate was the soft scrambled eggs. I usually don't think too much about restaurant eggs one way or the other, but these were genuinely delicious, even without cheese. They were creamy, flavorful, and cooked exactly right. Honestly, I don't think I've had scrambled eggs at a restaurant this good before. The brunch potatoes were equally impressive, seasoned well and cooked to that perfect balance of crispy edges and soft centers. The bacon and sausage didn't quite hit the same level for me. They were fine, but not memorable. The bacon could have used a little more time on the grill to give it a crispier texture instead of the softer bite it had. The sausage links were acceptable but didn't add anything special to the dish. They felt more like standard breakfast sausage rather than something that elevates the plate. I was really looking forward to the bacon biscuits and gravy, especially since most places serve it with sausage gravy instead. Unfortunately, this part of the meal fell short. The biscuits were quite thick, and the gravy itself felt a little too light. I think the dish would have tasted much better if the biscuits had been split open, buttered, and had the gravy poured over both halves so the flavor could soak in. Instead, it leaned on the dry side, even though there was gravy on the plate. As for the Hot Stack Waffles, they surprised me. The first few bites were absolutely delicious, but after that I noticed a caramelization on the outside that made them extremely sweet. It almost tasted like candy, which gave me a bit of a sugar overload. Without syrup, the sweetness was already intense, and with syrup it became too much for my taste. The texture was nice and smooth, but the sweetness was stronger than what I usually look for in waffles. Drinks were exactly what you'd expect. It's hard to go wrong with champagne and juice, and they were simple, refreshing, and enjoyable. Overall, I had a nice experience. The service was good, the environment felt comfortable, and there were definitely some standout parts of the meal, especially the eggs and potatoes. I'm not sure if I would go out of my way to return during my next visit to Oklahoma City, but I do think it is worth trying at least once if you are local or nearby. There is potential here, and depending on what you order, you might walk away very happy.

Even just a plain buffalo option or something more unique like a sweet gochujang. Really wish there were just any other flavor options than BBQ. But I did like the pairing with the pickled onions and pickle slices. The ribeye sandwich was the biggest let down though. The meat was thin and dry. I was expecting a grilled ribeye, just sliced for a sandwich. But it was more like Philly cheesesteak type of meat. The mayo was heavy handed. It needed something to brighten up the flavors a little, like maybe more horseradish and a drizzle of balsamic reduction? It was good in concept, lacking in execution. Service was fine.
