Prices is straight, got wild sides, fried snickers and whatnot. Big ass cheesesteak hoagies. BIG HOAGIES that aren't overpriced at that. Get the hottest hot sauce and tell me you dont taste that franks hot mixed with lime and other FIERY peppers. Its good, sauces range from sweet to burn your asshole hot. Imma assume the wings is ight cause someone ordered a few wings when i was waiting and they was getting calls for wings. I got fries reeses though as a side and it was straight, one of em didnt fully fried on the inside (not the one in the pic), but still good as hell. bland and mushy side of sweet corn. the fries were drenched in buffalo sauce and turned into a somush at the bottom. Update: my second time ordering from here I got the corn nuggets which were great and crunchy! I had ordered french fries but instead had gotten the wedges which were okay in flavor but could've been much more crisp. My friend had ordered the friend buffalo chicken sandwich w a side of small wedges. she said the chicken tasted microwaved and the lettuce was wilted. read more

Chicken To Go has been around a long time on the point of South Broad and Chambers in the Trentony part of Hamilton, NJ. It was Cluck - U Chicken before that. So, this place knows from fried chicken, wings, and sammich, not to mention, ribs, burgers and milk shakes. Although painted yellow inside and out, the overall locale might be considered seedy. Lunch is the time for a reasonably secure check out. Inside, the order/waiting area was surprisingly clean; much nicer than the exterior. The people working there were friendly, and more than happy to explain the facts of life to a newbie. I decided on The Original Chicken Sandwich on fresh Kaiser Roll Special, with lettuce, tomato and mayo. A side of Wedge Fries came along for the ride, as well as a drink. While waiting, I looked around and was curious to see a new patio area for al fresco dining on the side of the building. Although 94 F was a bit warm for sitting under a large umbrella, it did seem a nice idea for a cooler day. When I opened my lunch bag at my desk, I beheld a large chicken breast, pounded and stretched, and well breaded for frying. It stuck out of the tasty roll on all sides, with the lettuce and tomato making it slick, but still manageable. This was no ordinary fast food chicken sandwich. The chicken had not been frozen, and retained its proper texture and moisture. It was excellent, far better than Chik Fil A, or Mickey D's. It was a filling meal by itself, and I ended up giving away most of the wedge fries to an officemate. Next time (and there will definitely be a next time), I will try some fried chicken and/or BBQ charcoal ribs. And, for those dessert extremists out there, they offer sweets from milkshakes to hot apple pie, and fried Oreos, Twix and Reese's Peanut Butter Cups. I have been going to chicken to go for years because their honey hickory wings are really delicious. I just ordered a family deal from there, I opened my salad and there was a baby roach crawling on top of the onions. I threw everything away and I'm good forever on this place. The food here was over priced and poor quality. They nickle and dime you for everything. An alleged combo which included 5 small dry wings and hard wedges with flat fountain drink was $9.38. In addition the lady at the counter appears to hate her job. She actually discourages customers. I asked about the sides and saw that it had sweet corn on the menu, she said"just to let you know, its canned corn so dont get your hopes up thinking its on the cobb". Chicken To Go needs to be gone! Chicken on sandwich is pounded paper thin, over cooked, and dry. The roll was dry. The chicken wings were over cooked and dry. See the pattern here?
