I went into the Milford store today and was helped by Emily. My request is not one of the normal requests. Where other stores have been rude and abrasive, she was; welcoming, knowledgeable, friendly, and courteous. They are truly lucky to have such a shining star in their workforce. read more

I honestly don't understand all of the 1 star reviews. Maybe things have changed a lot since they were written? I have shopped at Chico's for many years, and have had nothing but positive experiences, but, today my expectations were exceeded. Due to some medical issues, I have gained some weight, and didn't know how to dress for my new body. It is very upsetting to be in this situation, and I just didn't know where to begin. I told Jennifer, when I walked through the door, that I was going to need her help. She spent A LOT of time with me and helped me to find a bunch of items. She was kind, compassionate, and patient with me. I am able to integrate my new clothing with my existing things, and feel like I can mix and match my way to a whole new wardrobe. This place is so ridiculously unprofessional. My mother went in to exchange something for an item that was 10 dollars less and did not get the right change back. Her answer to the inquiry about not getting the right change was to "call customer service for an explanation". Why the heck would we call for simple math? I'm assuming cashiers can do simple math. Regardless mistakes happen. It's how they are address and resolved is what matters. The associates at chicos were extremely rude to my mother. She carries a heavy accent being Asian. Maybe there was a miscommunication, but that is no reason to point at my mother like trash and dare her to call and complain. The workers there were rude and it was certainly racially biased. I was completely disgusted by the salespeople. I recently lost 60 pounds and can now where their clothes. I went in to attempt to buy an interim wardrobe and develop a relationship to continue to patronize this shop. I was completely ignored and made to feel as if I did not belong. Went to Chico's to find an outfit, pressed for time and completely stressed...Barbara, the sales associate, asked me what I was looking for, gave her an idea, and within 15 minutes I was out of the store with a new outfit and accessories. No pressure, just a wonderful experience. read more

The sales associates are very rude. This company should realize that with online shopping brick and mortar stores will be obsolete. Who wants to put up with rude people! One of the Sr sales associate even threatened me for returning an item. Unbelievable!! read more

This is not one of Chico's better stores. It is hard to get store hours -- not posted on the Web. Their phone number doesn't pick up, or when it does, it is a generic "leave a message" from the phone company. No identification, no hours, nothing. In the actual store, there are a couple of very pushy sales ladies (one has been there a long time) who keep trying to "help" you, but they're not really listening -- they compete with each other for getting credit for customer sales. I guess that's a fact of life, but still, it could be less blatant. And -- I've mentioned to the staff several times that there are tops that are of such stretchy fabric that they shouldn't be put on hangers, as the shoulders stretch out. But no one listens and they just keep doing this. There are better Chico's stores around -- go there instead. read more

I normally do not write reviews for clothing establishments, but when I saw the reviews from Joyce and Marilyn I had to write. Shopping for clothing is something I dread because I am trying to lose weight and hate how I look in everything. Needless to say this is the one and only store I can go into and feel like they really care about helping me find something that truly looks nice on me. They don't tell me something looks nice if it does not just to make a sale. I work with Joanne and she along with the other associates are always helpful and friendly. I have never experienced rudeness from anyone at the Milford Chico's. In fact, I actually feel happy and better about myself when I leave the store. I have to say this was a nice reminder for me to not only write bad reviews, but to recognize folks when they wow you, because not many do anymore. I too was disgusted by the snobbery of the sales associates in that store. Monday (Labor Day) I was attempting to make a small jewelry purchase and I was rudely pushed aside by the sales lady. They had no interest in helping me pay. I left without my item and vow never to return! read more
