Margarita (pre-mix, too sweet for my liking)
    Val S.

This is more of a to-go spot, but you can dine in. The tacos were ok. Complimentary chips and salsa were ok. But the margarita was way too sweet (from some pre-made mix). On the menu it says it's $8 but I was charged $10. Also, it had a long black hair in it, gross. Service was ok.

Great location, clean enough space with themed decor. Inside looks great and fun, except there's never anyone in the place - which isn't a great sign. Empanada tasted and smelled like the beef was old. It was primarily filled with air and the pastry was far too brown. We also ordered a burrito bowl with chicken, which was the furthest thing from white meat. The chicken meat is small crumbs of dry, VERY dark meat with seasoning - can't even be called chunks or pieces, it's chicken crumbs. Pico tastes good but the tomatoes were nearly white and there was just a sprinkling of it on the bowl anyway. Same for the lettuce and rice - they were just filler, not tasty at all. Guac was great, however the chips were way too thick and burnt. Service was fine enough, but I ordered takeout and then sat while my food was cooked and no one really went out of their way to say anything to the one customer in the place. I felt that more attention could've been paid to service and quality food prep seeing as how they were very clearly not busy. Not the best, not the worst. Doesn't warrant another visit for sure.

Went to their original setauket location on 25-A and found out they moved to the shopping plaza down the street where stop and shop and Starbucks are. (The old ramen place). The new location is much bigger and has more of a sit-down vibe--there's a hostess and you get served with a menu etc and complimentary chips. Presentation of food is immaculate (my photo didn't do it justice). Pricing is still the same! (Not sure if that will change because I went a within a few days of their soft launch when they were still serving with disposable cups etc) And take out is still an option! Staff is SO friendly--very attentive and clearly excited about the new location. Also received complimentary churros for their soft launch--absolutely DELICIOUS. I am so so so excited for this new location and hope it does well. Will definitely be going back for the hard launch when they get their liquor license.

The service is wonderful. The food was very good. The margarita was fantastic. What's not to go back for? Can only recommend.

    Combination Fajitas

We love the take out / quick eat at the Selden location, and their great staff told us they opened a full service restaurant with a bar, so we had to try it. Walked in, nice sized store front restaurant, clean, welcoming staff and decor. We were seated with menus and chips with salsa. I ordered the Birria Bowl, and my husband ordered a Classic Taco and Fajita Combination. The food was excellent, just like in the other location, but we felt the portions were much bigger. He enjoyed the Fajitas being served sizzling in the skillet. We will absolutely frequent both stores!

    Happy hour specials

This place is fiiiirrreeee. Fajitas were absolutely delicious. Everything came out super hot and fresh. Their homemade sauces are terrific and flavorful. Service is kind and hospitable. There are some nice hour specials I will have come back for. Colorful and upbeat vibe with a reggaeton playing at a moderate volume makes for a fun atmosphere. Even though there are other good Tex Mex places in the vicinity, this one is hands down the best. They do takeout, but if eating in expect to be waited on.

Food was so good- definitely will be coming back. Would not get the mai tai again though- the balance of flavors seemed off and very heavy on the bitters...but they were nice enough to add more orange juice to my drink which made it better lol. Dessert was really good too!

Nice neighborhood spot for Tex-Mex food. I've lived in East Setauket for 25+ years and this location has seen its fair share of chinese food and pizza eateries throughout the years. What is Tex-Mex? I had to look up what Tex-Mex means: Tex-Mex cuisine is an American and Texan cuisine that derives from the culinary creations of the Tejano people of Texas. Dig it! I knew that you could. We found a great taco spot in Miller Place, its kind of a hike when you're jonesin' for a taco and Chico's is around the corner. My wife & I first stopped in for a few tacos. Very impressed with what was offered. The next few visits, I used my app to order online. I ordered a fish bowl and then the following week a ground beef bowl. Maybe it's all dumped into a large tin, the presentation doesn't look too appealing. And both bowls were a little too heavy on the onions, something I'll correct in my next order. Chico's makes a damn good Tex-Mex taco. If your in the area, give them a try.

Such a great addition to the area! We needed a local Tex mex eatery :) Love everything we have tried! Never disappointed! My personal faves are the fish tacos, beef street tacos and chicken bowl. I love that the sauces are on the side and that you can help yourself when picking up takeout. Def. worth giving a try!

I mentioned it to the server, but when the guest (a mortified teenager) politely said it was "fine," the issue wasn't pursued further. What a great combination. I don't have a large appetite but I finished the taco in one setting because it was that good and I also had a couple of the nachos for the sake of Yelp lol. Legit a well, and my friend loved the burrito. We also got 2 small margaritas. They were so cute served in their own little bottles so I poured mine over ice. We still had some errands to run and they were potent so I poured most of mine back into the bottle. They had 4oz, 8oz (which they happened to be out of that night), and 24oz. The 4oz was just the perfect size for me. Also, the staff was friendly and both times service was fast. 10/10. Definitely beats Chipotle, which I have always been a big fan of. I feel like their portion sizes are getting smaller -- skimpy with the protein that is -- and if you get double chicken, etc, a bowl or a salad bowl is expensive to me. The food at Right Coast was priced just right and a lot better in my opinion.

Growing up in New Mexico and Texas, I find it hard to find a spot on LI that helps satisfy the craving for good Mexican/TexMex. Tonight, we got a pretty good platter of food. My wife and I got a total of 8 tacos, 4 Birria tacos (2 of each), and 4 street tacos. (2 carne asada, 2 carnitas). My kids each got a quesadilla, regular and chicken bacon ranch. I tried the chicken bacon ranch and that thing was pretty serious lol. My kids could have definitely just shared one. With all of that being said, the carne asada street tacos were definitely my favorite of everything, followed by the carnitas then finally the birria tacos. The salsa verde they served in the cup was as authentic as they come, and I put that sh** on every single bite. Something about the salsa verde in the bottle just wasn't hitting the same. As my family was wrapping everything up, this nice young lady approached us and offered complimentary churros for the kids! Super nice of them. This experience was definitely a 9/10 for me. I would probably just skip the birria tacos next time, personally.
