    cauliflower & roasted fish tacos
    Skunk T.

Casual, beachy atmosphere - soft corn tacos are the most popular item, four beers on tap plus some bottle choices. Pro: tacos were tasty (had couple different fish tacos & roasted cauliflower as well); server was friendly, helpful & competent; relatively cheap ($60 for two people with one drink each) Cons: beer i had (Allagash Wheat) was flat; extremely loud atmosphere (too loud for a date night); wood floor is nasty looking & needs to be refinished; food was a little slow coming out of kitchen

I remember Port Jeff being one of my old stomping grounds when I was single and partying. I drank many a Foster's oil cans during my nights here, and it was a fun singles scene. Good times! Always nice to see a locals bar last this long and doing well.

Made our way to our table ( although we had a reservation still had to wait for the table to empty and then get reset). We were warmly greeted by our server Charlotte who was friendly and engaging and made several suggestions whether it was appetizers, main course or even special drinks. Started with the lettuce wraps and cauliflower bites which i highly recommend. Followed up with the Billie and Chester burgers which were outstanding. The chicken Milanese was pretty good for a non Italian restaurant although the Bleeker sandwich was a tad dry but otherwise good. The cheesecake and Irish coffees were well received to round out the evening. I was very impressed that Charlotte went out of her way to ask a staff member ( didn't get his name manager maybe) to double check for the availability of espresso coffee after we were informed they had none. My friends were extremely impressed as well as pleased a package of beans were found. I was impressed when I requested Tullsmure Dew and not Jameson Whiskey in my Irish Coffee. Overall great pub serving a good selection of beers and food with friendly and in our case accommodating staff members. When in Port Jefferson don't miss out.

*January 2026 Restaurant Week*…read more My wife's bestie made plans for the (4) of us to meet for dinner. We all live close so Fifth Season Restaurant was chosen. I haven't been here in a very long time so I'm excited to see how the restaurant has stayed in business over the years. We are shown to our table upstairs. The bar area on a Friday night looks fun and active. There's great views of Port Jefferson harbor so the restaurant ambiance is nice. We're seated and are given restaurant week menus as well as the wine/cocktail list. Listen, It's Friday nite and I don't want a wine cooler! Give to me a standard Martini stirred (Shaken is just dumb) with stuffed blue cheese olives. The ladies order appletini's and we're ready to order off the restaurant week menu. The menu has a nice selection of different offerings, I'm into all things local so I'm going to start with the beet salad and Red Snapper. The beet salad was loaded with beets! I love beets, they did a good job with this started dish. I must point out, the dish must have been prepped earlier in the day. The green salad was slighty wilted when served to me. The Red Snapper, what is that sauce on top? And the fish was sitting on a bunch of zoodles?? The fish wasn't seasoned, it wasn't very flavorful. I'm eating around the zoodles, meh. The cheesecake I ordered, it was also just a standard dessert. I didn't finish the fish or my dessert. Review is over, Fifth Season Restaurant? See you in another 5 years.

The salads we felt were small for the price but were tasty. The main course was delicious and a nice portion. However the small portions continued when we moved over to dessert, which was very overpriced for what you got. The service was also kind of slow. I think they need more wait staff.

The steak looked thin when it came out but was absolutely delicious and tender and plenty for a light lunch for two. The waitstaff brought us two plates and knives to split the meal. I later had a regular coffee which hit the spot. The ambiance here made me feel like I was a regular on a tv show - it's cozy and welcoming. If I lived closer I'd probably be here every day! The live guitar music was fantastic. It wasn't too loud so we could still hold a conversation. Lots of booth seating as well as tables. We showed up around 4 pm and it wasn't too crowded but it got crowded later. The bathroom decor made me laugh. #iykyk Definitely a must visit for lunch, an early dinner or coffee. I can't wait to visit again!

I had the yogurt with blueberry filling, pineapple, and grapes -- it tasted exactly as it looks, clean and simple. The caffè latte used Paramount Coffee's "The Perfect" beans; the shot was dark and strong at first, but once mixed it became smooth with a slight bitterness. The chicken Caesar salad bun with onion rings had a simple, healthy flavor but the portion was a bit small. Banana foster was more like a dessert than coffee, with a strong cinnamon note -- the banana flavor was subtle due to caramelization. You can add espresso if you want. Downsides: despite the name, it's not a good place to study. A lot of people come to eat, talk, hang out, and play games, so it's not quiet. Price-wise, coffee and drinks are reasonably priced, and milk swaps or small customizations aren't heavily charged, but food portions feel small for the price. They have a restroom, are wheelchair friendly, and they mentioned they own a roaster nearby and plan to start roasting their own beans soon. Overall, a solid spot with good vibes -- just not for quiet studying.

In the middle of trying to enjoy what we paid for. It wasn't once, 4x not subtle at all. Very persistent and uncomfortable. Meanwhile, other tables were allowed to exist peacefully, laugh, linger, and actually dine. We were treated like a clock was ticking on our presence. It was so persistent that I even asked what time they were open until, to which I was informed there was a good four hours before the place even closed. We hadn't even been there for that long if there happened to be a time limit. The implication was clear- you're taking up space we don't want you in. Nothing kills an appetite faster than feeling unwelcome. If your idea of hospitality is rushing guests who happen to not be white that's a bold business strategy. That's not hospitality that's micro aggressiveness dressed up as efficiency. Do better. People deserve to eat without being pushed out the door. On top of that i'm reminded of that shit experience because the food upset the stomachs of both me and my husband.

I mentioned it to the server, but when the guest (a mortified teenager) politely said it was "fine," the issue wasn't pursued further. Considering the price point and the high standard of excellence the restaurant appears to aim for, it was disappointing that the mistake wasn't proactively addressed. Overall, we had a good experience and will return.
