This used to be our go-to restaurant for many years, but we stopped coming for almost two years. We decided to give it another try last night, and we're so glad we did! Everything was excellent. My margarita was spot on , and it was great to see that the menu has been updated with some new options. I ordered the pork chop, and it was cooked perfectly and absolutely delicious. The only small criticism is that it had a little more gravy than I would have preferred, but the flavor was outstanding. It also came with a buttermilk biscuit that was fresh, buttery, and incredibly good. We're happy we gave this place another chance. After a day of running around visiting mom's it was now my turn to go out for Mother's Day. Joe took me for Mexican, one of my very favorites! This was are second time to this location. Pleasantly pleased that it was not overcrowded. We had plenty of parking options in their massive lot. We decided to sit at the bar. I love the oval shape and cool decor of the bar area. It has a nice spacious feel to it. And lots of TV's to observe. Right away we were greeted by staff and complimentary salsa and chips came in seconds. No wait for the water and cocktails to be delivered so we really appreciated that too. The stuffed jalapeños appetizer was delicious and satisfying. Our main meal was chicken fajitas and although the portion was decent the chicken was dry. Unfortunately disappointed but we didn't complain. Up in the area from NJ to visit family. We were in mood for Mexican. When deciding what to order, there were prices that were misleading on the listed google menu. When they told my family member, we ordered over the phone, the total was 71$ I had her question they had the order correct. We ordered 3 burritos and a regular guacamole. They read everything back correctly. There was a discrepancy between the google pricing and what their pricing actually is. The manager that was on was kind enough to honor the google pricing. With all this being said, my family member went to pick up the food and saw they had 15$ guacamole on the receipt which was not what we ordered. We had ordered the $3 guacamole to go with the chips. They took the huge 15$ guacamole out and replaced it with the tiniest container. Which again, I was astounded that they charged $3 for it. It looked more like we paid for the container it was in as opposed to the food itself. As someone who grew up near the city and currently lives down the shore with a ton of delicious cultured food, I could not believe the pricing. It seemed almost criminal. I've attached pictures of the pricing that was listed and the container of $3 guacamole. Food was decent. Manager. Went there for dinner and our 2 year old granddaughter wanted to watch the Disney channel on 1 of 4 TV's in the sit down around. There were no more than 12 people eating at around 5:30-7:00. The waiter was very accommodating but the manager came over and said that if someone came in and wanted to watch golf that he would change the channel and despite no one being there he refused to put it on. Yelpers REALLY got this place wrong! Bland, flavorless, inauthentic disappointment on a plate. The rice tasted like Minute Rice. I'm guessing these positive reviews are from locals who haven't ever traveled anyplace where real TexMex is served. It's possible this place is good for happy hour drinks, but the food was awful. Authentic Tex Mex at its best! For the life of me, I'm not sure why I don't have more photos from one of my local, go-to favorites. I am a frequent flyer to this cool, low-key spot. Well I guess it's time for me to admit to the fact that I'm old. There it is, I said it. I don't feel any better but whatever. I really like the food here. A lot of times Mexican places just drown the food in salt, but thankfully del fuego does not which is awesome. The food is flavorful and we had zero issues getting a table for 4 on a Saturday night with no reservation. Back to the part about me being old. This place is LOUD! Del Fuego has always been our go to Mexican spot. Always good food, drinks and service. Although last night I was quite disappointed. I was there with my husband and 2 year old son. My 2 year old started to get fussy after we paid so we left quickly not to disturb others and left our leftovers on the table. We brought my son out to the car and it was then I realized I forgot my leftovers. My husband went back inside, no exaggeration, 2 minutes later and our table was completely cleaned and leftovers were gone. My husband asked a worker if they had them and they said no. I love coming to Del Fuego - probably the best Mexican food you can get for the price and the ambience when you're inside the restaurant. My good friend's uncle owns all of the franchises and so I pay homage to that all the time. Our server Tommy was a sweetheart. Someone didn't like their drink at the table and he got us a new one immediately - with no hesitation he switched them.
