Came here on a Saturday afternoon and got our orders pretty quickly. I had the vegan tacos and they were full of flavor. Parking deck close by.

Bright and cheery inside. Staff was friendly enough, but only interacted with the lady taking my order. The quesobirria tacos were more queso than birria and lacked almost any flavor. Prices are decent. All-in-all, a very average experience. Won't seek it out, but I would try them again. Cheep drinks and a full-bar.

Came here for a post-concert bite and it hit the spot. It was relatively quiet at 10:30pm but by the time I left the rest of the hungry concertgoers had made their way in! I ordered a single birria taco and because they don't have wine, a Dos Equis bottle. Service was fast, reasonable prices, and the taco was pretty good. Very cheesy, juicy and tender meet, and a great salsa bar with lots of sauces and fixins (onions, cilantro, radishes, etc). Great location walkable from lots of hot spots and nice open, vibrant feeling space inside. @azfitfoodfun

Really, really like this little place. We ate here twice in two days. First day we met family and had a great big meal. Next evening we arrived and went to order and the young lady taking the orders welcomed us back...that is good. The first visit we ordered lots of food, a Carne Asada Beef Burrito(1), Nopale/Onion Taco(1), Carnita Tacos(2), Carne Asada Tacos(2), Chorizo Taco(1), Carnita Volcane(1), Beef Birria Taco(1) with consume, queso, guacamole, salsa and chips. We also had beautiful top shelf margaritas(4) and a beer(1). The food was very good. The margaritas were beautiful. They had a great salsa bar. The salsa verde was hands down our favorite on the bar. Service was great. Prices were reasonable. Total bill for 5 - $120(includes a 20% tip) Highly recommend.

If you're in the mood for tacos (and when am I not), this taco place on the corner of Chido St. and Taco Ave. fits the bill. Ok, maybe that's not the name of the intersection, but it's close to the theater and the downtown hotels on the south end of the city. Or just use Maps to find it. The tacos came out pretty plain, but I later found out they have a fixin's bar like Roy Rogers had back in the day. I loaded up my chorizo and Al Pastor tacos with onions and cilantro for a classic street taco style. The Shrimp Tacos were odd, but good. They had a corn tortilla laid flat with shrimp, then they melted cheese on top almost like an open face quesadilla. Sounds amazing, but eating it was a challenge. Free drink refills were available which is always a plus. Seating was a bit limited and it got crowded during the noon hour. I'd probably go again if I could beat the lunch crowds.

What a life saver! Came back late to our hotel and while trying to figure out what to eat, we noticed Chido tacos still open! I wouldn't say this is typically where I would go unless for something quick, but I couldn't have been more satisfied! The perfect end to our night. And the perfect ambiance to fit the mood. We had the Birria tacos, and the shrimp ACP and both were amazing. I recommend trying both, I've never had something to the ACP before but each bite was heaven. Place was clean and good service

As a lover of tacos and everything Taco Bell to street food in Mexico, Chido Taco is definitely a hit! Prior to this location opening, I had eaten at the location on Bale street. I work in downtown Raleigh so was extremely excited when this location opened up. The service is quick and the employees are friendly. The decor is fun and modern; street food vibes. The salsa bar is fresh and is always clean. (This attention to detail is important because a lot of places with similar salsa bars, mostly on the west coast, can get very sloppy). I have tried just about everything that I can try from the menu as a gluten free diner. Pictured on this review are the quesabirria tacos with rice and beans, and the steak nachos. The quesabirria tacos at this location are so delicious and have a nice crunch. They are also extremely filling. The consume broth is flavorful and not too heavy. The rice and beans are fresh and tasty! The steak nachos are a healthy portion size and fun to eat. In this instance, I ordered all of my topping on the side so the nachos didn't become soggy by the time I had my lunch break. The queso is AMAZING here and the steak was tender and well-seasoned. I recommend Chido Taco for a reliable tex mex meal!

Came in for a late dinner and the place was packed. Food came out nice and fresh and hot. It seems expensive but these two small tacos pack a LOT of flavor and are worth every penny. Pork belly is cooked perfect, even the rice and beans are super flavorful. Casual dining with a bar, great for a summer evening. Definitely recommend and would come back anytime I'm in Raleigh.

I came here for the first time for a quick lunch and ordered three barbacoa quesabirria combo.  The menu describes them as quesadillas but they're more like Taco Bell chalupas and were absolutely delicious!  The portions were pretty generous and the combo also came with a side of rice and beans.  Service was quick as well.  I'll definitely be back.

Small little place with good customer service and was pretty quick. Went during lunch with a few coworkers and enjoyed the carnitas tacos. I got two, should have gotten four because they are pretty small but for the price it makes sense. Will be back to try some aguas and horchata eventually!

Not the best. Not the worst. I would come back. Price is respectable for 4 tacos. Good salsa bar.

It was MAGNÍFICA The manager, or owner checked on us multiple times and our server was super attentive. The food looked like a dream and was hot, well-seasoned, and all around delicious. We got a 60oz margarita and it was not only huge, but had scrumptious, fresh fruit and was refreshing and strong - idek how you do that! Lastly, the place was so cute! It felt elegant and made us want to take pictures. It was comfortable and overall felt like a top notch experience!

Parking can be a bit difficult in this area depending on what time/day you go. Walking into La Santa the restaurant feels vibrant, energetic, and artistic which blends in with an industrial look and dia de los muertos murals on the walls. To be seated you'll check in with the host at front and then be shown to your table either inside or outside. When you sit down the server will bring complimentary chips and salsa to the table. The salsa and chips were food and not too spicy on the salsa/over salted on the chips. For food I ordered the Grilled Shrimp Tacos (Grilled shrimp, flour tortilla, homemade coleslaw, avocado, dehydrated onions, and homemade Chipotle sauce) and my partner ordered the De Pescado tacos (Mahi mahi fish, creamy sauce, cucumber, pico, mango, avocado, flour tortillas, and white rice). By far I would lean toward the shrimp for the flavor and softness of the meat. The fish was a bit tough to eat. Both taco plates also are served with a side of rice. Btw, on Tuesdays La Santa runs a special on taco plates (excluding the De Arrachera) for 50% off regular price. Highly recommend checking out La Santa if you are in the Glenwood South area. I'll have to try their cocktails next time.

It never came. After waiting, we had to flag down a server walking by, who eventually brought one--only for it to be broken. It then took another 10 minutes before we finally got a functional highchair. Throughout the visit, the staff seemed far more interested in talking amongst themselves than actually paying attention to guests. The overall atmosphere felt disorganized, inattentive, and unprofessional. The worst part came after we left. I realized almost immediately that I had left my wallet behind and called right away. Instead of any sense of urgency or willingness to help, the host who answered was incredibly rude and dismissive. Before I could fully explain the situation, she cut me off and told me to "call back tomorrow." When I tried to quickly describe the wallet--color, contents, anything that might help--she hung up on me mid-sentence. Considering I called almost immediately after leaving and was brushed off so quickly, it raises serious concerns about whether any real effort was made to locate it. I would hope any establishment would take something like that seriously. Between the lack of attention, the disorganization, and the way a simple, time-sensitive situation was handled, this place clearly has serious issues with customer service. I won't be back.

The service was very good with what seemed to be a newer server. She checked in quite often until it was time to bring the check. Had to ask her for that after about a 10 minute wait after she cleaned off the table. Outside of that, very friendly and attentive. The ACP had very thin slices of chicken which was nice, but not as much cheese as you typically see in other restaurants. According to the server, you do have to ask for some flour tortillas on the side if you want them as they don't come by default. The Pollo Tropical had a nice thin layer of chicken breast covered in cheese.... tasty. The margaritas were good and have a smear of taijin on one side of the rim which gives the drink a little spice. Prices are in line with other restaurants in the area. Definitely would recommend it.
