I had the most wonderful experience purchasing a commission from Michael…read more I have been a fan of his work for a few years now and never imagined I would be able to own a piece. I've always regarded him as my modern day Van Gogh and always believed any of his items would be dramatically out of my reach. I finally found the nerve to reach out to him and ask about commission pricing after seeing one of his commission work videos. The piece I had seen was well beyond my budget but he had lots of options and items available. I had no idea!! I admired his Phoenix Flower design and message behind it. I asked if I could add one of his Mostly For Her poems to it and wanted him to select the colors. I showed him a few samples of his other works that I liked as well as some personal photos for inspiration and he was able to create the most beautiful vision. It's stunning, elegant and completely unique. Before my commission arrived I was able to see videos and pictures of the process, such a one of a kind experience!!! And I won't even tell you about the other extra special surprise I received.... you'll just have place an order for yourself and find out. I 1000% recommend Carini Arts for all your inspirational needs. Hang Art, Wear Art, Be Art.

I recently was able to go visit Michael at his studio, it was truly an amazing and intimate experience. I walked away with a piece I adore and he's now working on a commissioned piece for me aswell. Being born and raised in SD, I love being able to support local artists like Michael. Reach out to him, support a local artist, he won't bite. Thanks for your work Michael!

I've been going to Amanda for ~30 years and I'm ecstatic that she's at this beautiful shop now,…read morethat is even closer to my home. Come to find out recently, that I have 4 mutual friends who also use her as I was commenting on their hair cuts. Amanda has the skill and knowledge of basic AND complex hair coloring, cutting and styling techniques. She's able to fit your haircut to your face and will tell you if a photo, for example, won't work on you, possibly because of your hair type. Amanda has many years of experience and I'd recommend her to anyone. She's also very friendly, speaks English well and accommodates your schedule with ease. On another note, this new salon is beautiful and when I was in there on a Friday at 10 a.m., it was VERY busy.

I am so glad that I went to Color Luxe and had a personal color analysis done. Mae was very…read moreknowledgeable and explained the Japanese color Wheels and how colors really change how you look. She took her time and tried all of the different colors of fabric with different tones from pale, to light, to bright and all the way up to deep and dark tones. I was so curious to see what season I would come back as and Mae identified that I was a Deep Autumn. I would have never guessed that, so it was very helpful to know, so that I can be better at picking the right colors of clothing and makeup for the most optimistic look. I told Mae that it was almost like magic when she switched certain colors and I could see instantly how each color makes me either look like I am tired or cast deeper shadows on my face. Some colors made my skin look red and was not a good look for me. Some colors made me looked totally washed out. Mae found the colors that make me look my best. Mae even went over hair colors and makeup colors and identified the best ones for me. She went over patterns and fabrics too and identified that I don't look good in large prints, but better in a medium spacing print. She gave me a little personal color palette to take home and this I find super helpful for when I am shopping and picking out clothes. Mae's shop was easy to find and was in a newer salon type of setting. It was clean and nice inside, with great lighting. For anyone interested to find out what their personal season is, I highly recommend to go to Mae Lim. You won't regret it!
