Starting as a novice I have gained enough skill from her workshops to set up and work in my own studio at home. So.... We immediately made a reservation for a class and got a private class 2 weeks later. And here we are... The class was so fun! We started with a clump of clay and ended up with wonderful, functional, and pieces of art. Our teacher, Leah, was a great teacher! She was patient and explained everything! She had the perfect balance of teaching and then letting us work the clay a little of our own way. She kept us on track so we actually made 2 very unique pots. Very unique is my way of saying crooked and lopsided but lots of character. Lol We had a solid hour and got to work a few different pieces. For the price and friendliness and fun, I suggest this class for beginners or any level really. Oh! And check out the awesome pottery for sale! Leah is an amazing artist with some very nice pieces for sale.

For the class we got to practice on some paper before jumping into our pillow case that we got to pick out a fan pattern and take home! I will be returning back for the part 2 of this class! The lathe instructor basically makes your piece for you, since he is unable to effectively teach you how to do the project in the time alloted. Perhaps teaching first time students how to sharpen tools could be omitted from the session? The glass classes fill up fast, but good luck getting any actual help. The instructor for our class couldn't be bothered to label our pieces, which caused embarrassing mix-ups during the pick up process. Get this: the instructor knew exactly whose pieces were who's but still had admin conduct a passive aggressive email witch hunt to students. Wouldn't you rather just be told you picked up the wrong piece, as opposed to being blindly led down some weird path of discovery? Yeah. Me too. But hey, I was offered $10 off my next $125+ class. Lmk if you want it! I certainly don't.

She as brought home great pieces of art and the lessons she learned stuck because the drawings at home and school are impressive for an 8 year old ( maybe a bit biased, but they are way better than I could do!). I appreciate that they teach not only drawing but used different mediums such as water colors, oil pastels, and colored pencils. Monart is also offered at her school for after school programs. It's been very popular and another great addition to her school curriculum. I can't write enough good things about Mozart. From the kind, patient and helpful staff to the ace instruction they provide to the kids. The location and classroom is a safe space filled with happy children learning to express their creativity while having fun!
