As a line dancer teacher, I was always dancing in my boots. My toes were a mess. discolored, growing out crooked, and so thick they could not be clipped anymore. He was able to diagnose it was trauma and gave me the right plan for treatment. My toes are looking almost normal again. They schedule so there is not a lot of wait time in office. I had really bad ingrown toenail on both my big toes. Dr. Tsai and his nurse were extremely helpful from the moment of booking until my last visit. Dr. Tsai gave me a couple options for the best treatment for me. I chose the option that suited best for me. During the removal of the nail that was jabbing into my skin, he consistently asked me if I was feeling any pain, he wanted to ensure I was comfortable. There was some pain, but tolerable. After the procedure he provided directions for me to care for my skin and then follow up in 2 weeks. FOLLOW THE CARE INSTRUCTIONS! I did and my toes are feeling so much better. Dr. Tsai and staff are amazing! They are very attentive and take time to listen to the issue and go through all steps and find a solution to the problem. My boyfriend had a wart on his heel for 3 years that kept coming back after having 3 different doctors removed it. Dr. Tsai treated him for a few months and it has since completely healed. From the moment I called his office, the receptionist was so friendly and kind. Her sweet personality was the same as I made my in person visit. Updated October 4, 2023 I highly, highly recommend Dr. Tsai if you are suffering with an ingrown toenail. Five years ago Dr. Tsai removed one side of my big toenail that had an ingrown nail. I had a great experience with him. Now, five years later, I decided to see him again to remove two additional ingrown nails on both big toes. I was able to get an appointment quickly. Dr. Tsai is still the podiatrist I remember. He's very friendly, a good listener, great communicator, and sensitive to not inflict unnecessary pain while performing the procedure. Since he needed to remove the ingrown nail down to the root, he numbed my toe. He first sprayed a numbing agent to the skin surrounding my toe which worked immediately and lessened the sting of the needle that followed. By the time he inserted the needle, I didn't feel anything. I also felt no pain while he snipped away the ingrown nail. Dr. Tsai did one toe at a time so two weeks later I returned and he checked the progress of the first toe then removed the ingrown toenail on my second big toe. When I saw him yesterday he said that both toenails are healing very well. I no longer have the constant pain/discomfort I had before the procedure and am so-o-o glad I made the appointment. I can't say enough positive comments about Dr. Tsai. He is confident in performing the procedure, is experienced and has clearly removed many ingrown toenails in the past, and has the best bedside manners I've ever experienced In a doctor. Really. Dr. Tsai truly is worthy of all the hype on Yelp. His bedside manner is WONDERFUL, never trying to hock his own products - wrote down some orthotic inserts for me to purchase more cheaply on Amazon. He is completely candid in his approach, recommending I do surgery after the new year so I can get that good deductible bump for 2019. He does a bang-up job at explaining everything his doing, and all of his treatment recommendations take the patient in mind first and foremost. This Doctor is great! My family member came in with a heel injury and could barely walk. We were able to get in the same-day. We arrived and only had to wait for less than 5 minutes. The doctor gave me some instructions on what my family member could do to relieve the pain, and sure enough, it worked! Now, my family member can walk and his heel is no longer hurting. My Brother in law Mike recommended Dr. Tsai to me when a podiatrist I saw wanted to pull both of my toenails due to fungus. My sister urged me to please get a second opinion from her husbands podiatrist that he had been seeing for the same problem. I am so glad I listened to them! I had an ingrown toenail surgery that Dr. Tsai took care of in early January 2018. I felt pretty good about it. The pain was gone immediately following the procedure. Two weeks later I went back for a post-procedure follow-up check-up. I felt a tightness on a part of the toe. I figured it would get better over the next few weeks. However it got worse over the next two and a half months. Causing me pain. So I called Dr. Tsai up to tell him about my concern that the surgery had not cleaned up everything or the toenail was not growing back properly. Dr. Tsai invited me to come in for a free follow-up. He told me that he wanted to make sure that I was satisfied with the original procedure. The next morning, before other patients came in, Dr. Tsai did a minor procedure to fix the problem. I had a fantastic experience! I had a ingrown toenail on my big toe. I was a bit panicked at first as I didn't know what to expect. Portion of my nail would have to be removed. Dr. Chih-Hui Tsai put me at ease and explained everything. I was so worried about the numbing injections that were needed in my toe. He was able to make those injections so that I could barely feel them.....amazing! The rest of the procedure I didn't feel anything. I put off getting my toenail fixed for 10+ months. I went in today as a new patient and not knowing what to expect. I was greeted by very friendly and helpful ladies at the front desk, which is always a great first impression. In the past I have been to a podiatrist who immediately wanted to do surgery on my bunion and tried to get me to pay for his very expensive orthotics. This was not the case with Dr Tsai. He was unlike any other doctor I've met. He spent well over an hour with me, x-rayed both feet to compare, and went over every single x-ray bit by bit with me so I could understand the origin of my foot pain. He made recommendations for me in which he did not push expense orthotics. He gave me some suggestions of where to buy some over-the-counter inserts and explained to me that a custom fit orthotic would last longer and possibly fit better if I was interested, but he never once pushed it. He also explained to me all the options including potential surgery much down the road, but he was not saying I need it right now. My friend had a huge infection on his toe that no urgent care could fix it. Right before we decided to go to the ER, we met doctor Tsai. He was so patient and professional. I am writing this review on behalf of my husband, Michael, who has been to many podiatrists in the past. He was referred to Dr. Tsai for foot problems and was absolutely blown away at the level of compassion and care he received. Dr. Tsai not only helped him with his presenting issue but proceeded to treat his toe fungus that he had for many years. Every physician he saw in the past told him he'd just have to live with it. But Dr. Tsai gave him a prescription and cut the nail back to enable it to respond to his treatment. He was thorough, kind and truly cared about getting him well again. It is so nice to see doctors who don't treat patients like just another number-but who are truly focused on helping their patients! We also referred my sister and she was equally impressed! Wow I really enjoyed my visit here and my issues were resolved immediately. Somehow my big toe got infected and swelled up immensely. It was also greenish blue. Dr Tsai said he wasn't sure how it got infected but possibly and often times it's from pedicures. He cut back my nail without any pain, drained it and filed it down. By the time I left, it already looked so much better. I appreciated that he stated he doesn't like to remove the toenail if not really necessary. Other places I've been to recommended a toenail removal right away and I didn't like that because the nail doesn't grow back properly every time which is exactly what Dr Tsai said. He also spent time with me and gave me so much information on how to properly take care of my toe with wearing the right size shoes, if I should go get a pedicure what I can do to help minimize infection, and even recommended a healthier nail polish. My 15 year old son who plays basketball suffered from heel pain, Dr. went in depth about teens and pain from growing. He takes time to explain things, didn't charge for x-ray just so we could see what he was talking about. Then gave us some basic heel pads to raise the heel.
