    Kids noodles
    Madison P.

Overall- fast, delicious, and lots of yummy options! The cumin lamb, XO shrimp lo mein, and blistered green beans were all fabulous! The dumplings were okay and the kids noodles were a waste of money. The food is delicious, complex, and fun especially for being a cast-casual restaurant. There were tons of great options on the menu, fun drinks, and a dumpling happy hour. The prices are a little more than expected for the serving sizes and the fact that you don't have a server. They do bus the tables though.

The orangish chicken was delicious, and the vibes were immaculate with friendly staff!

So this place isn't fancy in any way, but the food is absolutely solid. Portions are heavy, flavor is there and relatively quick service. I will be back. Dumplings will be ordered again and I will pass on the orange ish chicken just for something lighter. I'm not usually a fried fan.

Overall, very filling and tasty. Would come back again. I got the chicken and rice dish and you definitely should come hungry because it's a lot of food. There's a mix of textures and flavors in the bowl which make it tasty, but because there was so much volume, I quickly grew tired of the taste. I feel this meal would have benefitted from some pickled appetizers to help break up the taste.

Prior to my first visit to Chiko, I was not a fan of fusion type restaurants. I wanted my ethnic food to be pure and not watered down to what chefs purport to be "fusion" of different much loved staples. Well, dear Yelpers, that kind of thinking was blown right out of the water. I went to the Bethesda Chikos right after a hard Pilates class and was famished and the regular juice lunch that my soon to be svelte self should have gotten was not going to cut it. I ordered their 3 dim sum offering for $22. I had the Dan dan noodles, potato pancake and lamb dumpling. So much flavor in every dish and the portions were so generous that even the glutton that I am could not finish it and had enough leftovers for my next meal. Each dish was nicely spice but yet the spice profile of each dish was distinctly different. And my fave was the crunchy diced fried garlic that was generously strewn on top of the dan dan noodles. As of today, because of my excellent meal at Chikos, I am no longer a fusion snob. I will be more open minded to the ethnic pairings of my favorite dishes. Who knew Korean and Chinese were such a good match. Now, if only the two countries can get along, it would be epic!

    Takeout bag for two dinners

Pre-ordered two sets from their four course meals. It locates at the corner of two busy streets, so could not find any street parking. There is a public parking garage one block to the west. Arrived after half hours of promised time. Upon walk-in, saw a line of bags with tags on the shelves to the right hand side. The dining area was about half seated. Nobody talked to me for five or so minutes, so I had to get attention from a staff behind the counter off the kitchen area. Overall, we felt these being over-priced. The portion of kimchi and cucumber was great given as appetizers. Two small dishes as entree were not enough for a meal. The spring rolls were over fried so too hard and too dry to bite. The orange-ish chicken was also very dry. The soy glazed brisket only had three strips but with an egg. The desserts were in thin layers. Had to get more food elsewhere to finish our dinner.

    The bags are also cool

The food is simply portioned, the staff is very courteous, and the seasoning is awesome. Will definitely recommend for a quick stop and amazing flavors. When they say double fried and crispy, the wings are super crispy. Ambience is cool with playing modern pop and hip-hop music. And plus...there's alcohol!

This place is amazing! Hot and spicy Chinese Korean fusion. Loved the stir fried spicy rice cakes! The high tech menu, payment done from your table worked. There was enough food for two people in a single order. People rave about the orange-ish chicken (I'll be back!) this is more than a one pony show. Korean sparkling rice wine that you drink from a metal bowl had fine sparkly bubbles. While rice wine may seem like a paradox, or like ordering a veggie burger (is that from a veggie cow?) they have rice wine, beer and teas. While the restaurant itself isn't as fancy as the food, and the space is open, focus on the food. I was given chopsticks, a fork and a spoon and could choose how to consume the food. Enjoy!

What's the most delicious thing that's been in your mouth lately⁉ I'll tell you mine, if you tell me yours. Food Review: CHIKO (Chinese/Korean) We ordered the Lamb Stir-fry which came with long juicy noodles in a savory delicious sauce of perfection. The dish was truly mind-blowing, unlike anything I've had, normally lamb is not an option. True magic lives in the hands of the cook. The portion size was really good. It was a little more pricey than your average takeout prices but they used quality meat, noodles & vegetables. A decent amount of the dish was provided and not just filler vegetables to stretch the dish. CHIKO is also known for Dim Sum Brunch on the weekends. That's still on our "to do list." I'm really excited about the tasty and delectable options offered. As soon as I try it, I'll report back. Tell me, what magical places will you visit this Summer What tasty food will you eat? What beautiful people will you meet?! Just remember, travel often, live and eat deliciously.

We went to this wonderful place around 6 PM on a Saturday. It was filled to the brim with people and we wanted to know why. We definitely found out, because the food was delicious and the atmosphere had a wonderful free spirit vibe! I'm sorry I don't have a picture of my food double fried chicken, but it was so delicious that I ate it! If you haven't gone to this place in Downtown Bethesda, and you want some delicious Korean fusion food... stop reading this review and head over there right now!

We tried the cumin lamb stir fry. Despite cumin being a principle ingredient in curry, you would not confuse this for an Indian styled dish. It owned a Korean flavor. The noodles were soft, and the heat was a little greater than I would have chosen. I don't know if the heat level can be adjusted, since the order is done on line, and you can't discuss it verbally with anyone. Our second dish was the vegetable rice bowl, which had a nice taste, and an ample assortment of vegetables. We enjoyed the meal, and we'll be back.

When I heard that one of Tom Sietsema's top restaurants from 2017 was coming to Bethesda, I was pretty excited since I don't often get to go to DC for dinner. The menu isn't long, but everything on there seems fun and seems like a mashup of ideas. We ordered the spicy bulgogi with rice cakes, the lamb noodles, and the shrimp toast for takeout tonight and everything blew us away! The rice cakes with the bulgogi are chewy and thick, the bulgogi is wonderfully flavored (although a little on the sweeter side). The spice lamb noodles remind me of the Chinese dishes that my family love and the noodles are perfectly chewy. The shrimp toast, unlike the Hong Kong styled ones I've had, has a very south East Asian twist on it! It comes with long beans, thai basil, and a deliciously spiced, broth-like sauce. The portions of all the dishes are pretty good for takeout and it looks like they've reopened for indoor and outdoor dining as well! The flavors here surely pack a punch and remind me of an elevated version of all the Korean, Chinese, and Thai flavors that I've been eating for years. I know they have a weekend dim sum menu that I absolutely cannot wait to return to try.

I think the highlight of CHIKO is their cumin lab stir fry, which was the best tasting dish out of what we ordered. It's a nice place to try, and it is filling as well despite how "small" the portions may look. The dumplings were just okay, but I might have to come back to try their dumpling happy hour. The spicy bulgogi stir fry was not spicy at all and felt lacking overall.
