a plate of sushi and rolls
    Erin D.

We were in Nashville visiting some friends and decided to go out for some sushi. We found this place and it was obviously busy and short handed but our waitress hustled and got everyone taken care of. We ordered their large sushi combo and some rolls and appetizers on the side. They were busy so it was a bit of a wait but the sushi was wonderful and the presentation was on point. If you're in the hermitage area and looking for some sushi, give this place a shot.

This is a hidden gem of Hermitage! The crab rangoon is one of my favorite. They are crispy savory-sweet delicious treats! My GF and I go-to is the Chicken and Shrimp Hibachi it serves 2-3 people. It's full of chicken and veggies and a few shrimp. The house salad dressings are the bomb! We had to order extra because it's so good! Highly recommend ordering extra ginger salad dressing to go. Nothing beats summer eat than s fresh refreshing salad.

Needed a sushi fix and they had a great selection of signature rolls. The star of the show was the Spicy Trio. This place has reasonable prices and fresh sushi. They also offer traditional Asian entrees and hibachi. Decent selection of draft beers and attentive service.

What a gem! We received the best service here, and the sushi and hibachi were delicious! The scallops were large and not overcooked, and you get plenty of food on the lunch specials. The sashimi was fresh, I can't remember the name of the roll we had, but it was so freaking good! I will definitely return here, the prices are so fair for the amount of good food you receive.

    Baked mussels appetizer. Delicious.

Our food was excellent. We had the baked mussels as an appetizer and shrimp egg foo young. Service was great.

We had the casino roll, Rock lobster roll and fire dragon roll. All three were amazing!

Apparently, not all the best bakeries lie within the big city after all. About 25 minutes out of downtown Nashville lying on the western periphery of Mount Juliet, BRIÒ makes a stunning array of Italian treats. Cannoli, gelato, waffles, crepes, milkshakes, sandwiches, you name it! Their gelato game is very strong! In fact, it's the highest rated gelateria on the entirety of Highway 70, one of America's longest roads that spans the country from Arizona to the Atlantic Ocean. With all that fanfare and these tremendous online ratings, I eagerly anticipated my visit. The mint gelato was tasty, maybe a little too minty for my preference despite my obsession with this flavor, but still delicious. However, it was the caramel pecan cheesecake that blew my mind! This is one of the greatest desserts in Middle Tennessee, properly firm cheesecake topped with candied pecans in a beautiful caramel sauce that accentuates every bite. This is life changing stuff!

I tried the Brio flavor (mulberry and lavender) and will bring some home next visit. I easily could have tasted ALL the flavors but I somehow managed a smidge of restraint. I ordered a cortado as well. Hard to find that on most menus. The espresso machine was beautiful and my drink was caffeinated perfection. And I could not make my exit without a couple of items from the pastry case. I bought the pistachio ricotta cake and the amarena cheesecake. All of this was for me and I make no apologies. The service was great. All my questions were thoughtfully answered. The best answer? All gelato is made in-house. There were sandwich and breakfast items also on the menu. I will have to go back to try those. Because I was on a mission. And my mission was gelato. Mission accomplished!

There is less parking on this side, however, so you may need to drive around the rear of the building to get to the remaining parking spaces. I was lucky to find one spot out front. There is also a handicapped space here as well. There is a short walk to the entrance. There are no steps but the sidewalk takes you around the edge of the grassy area so you have to walk a little further. If you park in the rear of the building in the larger parking lot the walk is a bit longer but more direct. Once inside, the lobby is small but the large display counter shows the variety of options available. There was someone working in the back who came out as some as I entered. It appeared he was the only worker at that time so you may need to wait a moment if they are busy in the back. Either way, the cookies are definitely worth a short wait. They are large and there is a large variety of flavors sure to pique your interest. The prices are as would be expected, and the freshness was evident in the first bite. This is a great option for a treat for that special someone, or just to treat yourself.
