Sake is one of my favorite spots in Lebanon! The food is always so good, fresh, and full of flavor. I especially love their yummy carrots and the yum yum sauce -- absolutely delicious and addictive every time. The service is consistently amazing -- everyone is friendly, attentive, and welcoming, which makes dining here such a pleasant experience. *This is not going to be a typical review* I looked up Hibachi grill restaurants as I wanted to celebrate a birthday and have the Hibachi experience. I showed up at Sake thinking they had the grills and was really disappointed that I messed up. However, Wayne the Mgr was soooo sweet and really tried to help me look around for a Hibachi grill experience. Since it was close to 2pm, we decided to go ahead and dine in anyway and just do a grill another time. Service: I already described Wayne's kindness. Then we were served by Tristan and goodness she was an absolute sweetheart as well! Everyone at Sake has the loveliest disposition. Food: We ordered the Fried Zen Shrimp and Beef Special Spring roll, a Spider roll and shrimp hibachi. The appetizers were so good that we ordered more shrimp and spring rolls! The only sad part is the "Spider" roll had shrimp instead of the standard softshell crab. It was good but should have been named shrimp tempura as my craving wasn't met. I'm so glad I found this place! The food is great, the service wonderful and the prices are very reasonable. I'm looking forward to returning here soon! read more

Glorified food court food.... Went last night to give this place a try. Honestly i thought it was going to be a tad more upscale but ok. We were seated, floor was dirty, someone chopstick wrapper was under the table and part of the straw paper too. Service was great. Very attentive drinks refilled quickly Foodwise unimpressed and disappointed Started with crab rangoon/wonton. Taste wise very good but there was barely any filling at all. Literally in each of the 4 wontons, there hardly anything id say wonton 90% and filling 10%. Not even. Teaspoon! 2 salads came out. A bowl chopped plain lettuce and few slivers of carrots. No dressing. I think the bottle they gave us on the table was the dressing, or maybe it was spicy mayo or maybe yum yum sauce. I have no clue. Im not a rabbit and was fed a bowl of raw lettuce and carrots. Not good at all. Then came the "spicy" tuna roll i ordered I wasn't in the mood for sushi, but I at least wanted to try it. Tiny roll pieces were a little bigger than a quarter and nothing spicy. Tuna, avacade and cucumber in it. That was it. Again maybe the mystery sauce on the table was the spicy mayo again I'm not sure. Out came our hibachi dinners. I asked for extra vegetables on mine and for some reason I didn't get any rice, but there was literally 3 pieces of chicken and 2 shrimp in my dinner. The prices were on the low side and after seeing this and the other hibachi meal, which had 4 pieces of tiny steak chunks in it I understand why. Quality wise aside from the fried wontons, with no filling, I think the part of the meal that aggravated me the most was the hibachi. It appeared, they used canned carrots that were just tossed on top of the plain brown rice, completely mushy!! there were chunks of the onion part that you don't use....that outer shell area. (Tell tale sign prep or cooks dont know what theyre doing) Taste wise it was good. But that was it. I tried the rice from the other plate that actually did get some and it literally was plain brown rice. There was nothing special about it. There was no onions chopped up in it, no carrots in it, no egg, no peas and more importantly, no seasoning or taste whatsoever. Disappointing top to bottom as i was excited and hopeful. I would have given 1 star but the service saved that from happening. We crossed visiting here off our list and we also crossed at our far return list as well. read more

Service is always excellent. They're great about refilling my drink. The decor and cleanliness are good as well. I got the special rolls which were absolutely delicious! I also ordered the hibachi shrimp and steak, the shrimp was delicious, but I've noticed the steak is usually a bit tough and hurts my teeth to eat every time I go. otherwise everything is amazing! Hand down go to this place at least once a week all because if the service. The owners have done a great job with the remodel and the food is always splendid. We had the best service Saturday evening! Food was fast, good and inexpensive. This is a great little gem in Lebanon! We will be back for sure next time we are in town! QUALITY food at this restaurant! I got the Hibachi Steak and chicken. The wife got the Terriyaki Shrimp and chicken. We both got small salads that came with the entrée when dining in. Mushrooms, Zucchini, Carrots, oh my! And the rice! Secret YUM YUM sauce they hide in what looks like mustard bottles is more like liquid gold sauce. You'll see! Oh, last thing... These folk have perfected Southern Sweet Tea. I'm talking it's like Paula Dean herself must have made it. I was impressed! Here is one tip if you dine in: This place has non stop carry out orders, so keep in mind the front door is going to be opened every 30 seconds. As a gluten free eater, this Japanese restaurant has limited options: stir fry without sauce, a few appetizers and a few sushi rolls. I have eaten here 12 times, and the stir fry is the best thing on the menu by far, as well as the yum yum sauce. The sushi has odd ingredients and pairings and isn't very tasty - the flavor pairings don't mesh well together. The service is always consistent and quick, but the aesthetic of the restaurant gives funeral home waiting room, and the furniture is uncomfortable. If you're looking for mediocre Japanese on a normal budget, this is the place for you! read more

We enjoyed our experience here for the most part. Oddly, this restaurant does not serve sake. They do serve beer, however. Food was good. Crab wontons were crisp and tasty, although we usually receive 6, not 4. Philadelphia roll and fried shrimp rolls were good, but not outstanding. Wow! What a nice little hidden surprise in Lebanon! My daughter and I came in for lunch on a Wednesday. When we first arrived, we were the only ones inside the restaurant (it was a little early) with several customers coming and going picking up to-go orders. By the time we left, the restaurant was FULL! We started off with the Lebanon Special sushi roll, which came out extremely fast! It was fantastic! Just a hint of spiciness, not overwhelming. Then my daughter ordered the Teriyaki Hibachi Chicken and I ordered the regular Hibachi Steak and Shrimp, both with salads and rice and veggies. The salads come out with a bottle of the yum-yum sauce. And oh goodness! This stuff is amazing!! (I could've taken that bottle home with me!!) Both of our meals were wonderful and perfect portions for lunch service! Cooked perfectly and very tasteful! They don't cook in front of you, which is perfectly fine with me, I've seen the show elsewhere and am actually happy to forego it! Our server was GREAT! VERY attentive, but not overly, and funny! I came for sushi. Prices were great. Portions were not. This is a good example of how lack of competition is bad for business. It's the only sushi in town but it's not good. Not bad but not good. The rolls were ok, not much to say about there mediocrity. My eel nigiri was over cooked and tough. The yellowtail nigiri was very thin and short. Both where more rice than fish. Aside from the food they do have limited beer menu but no sake. Atmosphere feels like an open family restaurant that's kind of loud due to lack of dividers. This is the best Japanese restaurant in Lebanon. It's hibachis are unbeatable as well as it's miso soup. My personal favorite is the steak hibachi with crunchy crab sushi and miso soup. Food plain as day. No flavor at all. Called about it and was told I was wrong. The steak is tough and dry. The rice is plain and tasted like a raw bitter stick. Gross. Have been coming here since they opened and food quality has gone down. I have had this meal countless times. Will not be back. It's sad it use to be such a great experience coming here to eat. Not anymore. Would not suggest eating here. Rice is pre made. Just gross. Service is a big thing for me and our most recent time at Sake the service was so bad that it makes me question if we should come back (or if we do then maybe we'll just get our orders to-go!) We still enjoy the food but really the service needs a lot of work. Our server's attitude pretty much started at our drink order. I got an unsweetened iced tea and she gawked at me saying "you sure you don't want anything in your tea?" To which I replied that a lemon would be great so she looked a little more pleased that I didn't want plain old boring iced tea and brought me the lemon. She brought us two menus and without even giving us a chance to order asked us "So do you know what you want?" She acted like she was in a hurry and we were inconveniencing her. After we ordered she did bring out our food but set it down and didn't ask if we'd like anything else (my boyfriend could have used some hot sauce). She sat down with a group of other servers and started eating her dinner. Eating in plain view and gossiping with them instead of doing her job! I understand if servers need to take a dinner break, well then get someone else to cover your table! She eventually dropped off the check but again had taken her dinner break and didn't check on us once or ask if we wanted to order anything else. This is a simple little place but the service was exceptional and the food was pretty good. We had dumplings (fried), spicy chicken hibachi and the Dragon and Lebanon rolls. The rice was a bit bland but with some of the dumpling dipping sauce, it was amazing! We got there around 5:15-5:30 on a Saturday and there was plenty of seating available. We were passing through Lebanon and a friend suggested we try Sake. This may not be the most elegant Hibachi or Japanese Stake House, but the food was on point ! You may not get the "show" but again the food was cooked well! I would rather have good food without the show than the show and burnt or over cooked food. My husband had the stake and chicken and I had the stake and shrimp hibachi. We paid $24.66 for two -That's less than the price of ONE at the Hibachi back home! Ironically, this place doesn't serve sake. Now that the misnomer is out of the way, it's a small, cute little Japanese place that has great hibachi for lunch. I believe the hibachi lunch specials are around $8-9, and it definitely enough to fill a person up. Whatever sauce they're using is pretty fantastic. I usually get the beef and shrimp, which has always worked out well. I've never had the sushi rolls, but they seem to be a favorite for my co-workers. read more

This nice little restaurant is one of the better ones in Lebanon and despite how busy they are, the service is usually quick and the food is hot and fresh. I always order the teriyaki chicken, which comes with a side salad. The taste of the salad dressing varies from restaurant to restaurant, and some in the area are much better than others.
