We tried this place due to proximity to our hotel & good Yelp reviews. I wanted to like this place because everything is spotlessly clean (including the bathrooms) & neat. But the tacos unfortunately were just ok & had some room for improvement. The avocado taco was the best out of the Maji, steak & avocado tacos I got. The steak taco was so greasy I could ring it out & there was a puddle of oil left on my tray & the steak inside was stone cold. The fried mahi (I assume it's the same as Maji) inside the taco was super chewy, but the street corn on top was good! The chips topped with cotija cheese and the guacamole were the best part of the meal! I think this place has potential, but nothing tasted fresh or exciting except the chips & guac and the salsa on the table. Staff is friendly & tacos arrived quickly. This is a smaller place with not a lot of tables, I imagine it's great for lunch takeout! Price point is about right but I would've liked to be able to mix up my 3 tacos & get them 3 for $11.99 vs a la carte price bc I got 3 different tacos. It seems fairly new so I'll have to try them again later to see if anything has improved. read more

Our second night for dinner in two days. We've tried the chicken tacos, the steak tacos, the carnitas tacos, the chicken burrito, the carnitas burrito, chips, rice, and elote. The meats were seasoned perfectly and in their respective tortillas with the toppings were amazing! The chips were fresh and tasty. The rice is the one thing that I find to be just ok. Sadly disappointed. Ordered tacos, burrito and nachos. All of them lacked flavor. The nachos were a nice size but the beef wasn't seasoned and there was beans on maybe 2 of the chips. Also way too much cotija cheese on them (this was a theme throughout the entire meal) The burrito was about 60% cheese and 40% everything else. The tacos I ordered also suffered from lack of flavor (steak, chicken and pastor.) For the price you pay, you don't get a lot in your tacos. Especially compared to other taco places in the area. Went in on a taco Tuesday and wondered why the restaurant was empty. I ordered 2 carnitas, 2 chicken tacos, and asada burrito to go and mandarin Jarrito. The total was about $32. When I sat down, a tray of sauces of was brought to my table. I did not see the traditional chips and salsa brought to my table. I asked about it and I was told I would need them order chips and salsa in order to receive them. I was taken aback, but now I know why the restaurant was empty. Food and service always good. Service is quick. The food is very tasty. Margaritas taste good. We eat there at least once per week, sometimes twice. Food is not expensive by today's standard. The food trucks are double the price and have a much longer wait time plus you can't even sit to eat. Dessert is original and great. It is not noisy like many of today's restaurants and it is clean.
