My first visit to Chilacos Tacos was great. I was greeted warmly immediately upon entering the restaurant. It's quite small about 14 - 17 tables approximately. I think they would be better off with less tables to be honest. The Menu board or online was the only option for a menu. I enjoyed the Mexican themed decor. There was music playing. Really cool ambiance. I ordered two fish tacos and two steak tacos. I also ordered a guava soda. My favorite was the fish tacos. My food came hot with three different sauces on the table. We stopped in for lunch today 4/28. Quaint setting and seating. Walk up to order from a cross section of Mexican food classics and favorites, tacos, of course, burritos, quesadillas, street corn and the list goes on. Place your order at the counter and minutes later you have delicious Mexican delights delivered to your table on a papered tray with a 3some of house made sauces for additional wow ! Had Mahi taco, chicharron taco, carnitas taco, chipotle chicken and a birria taco all served on corn tortilla and all were very good. Added a cup of street corn and refried beans which were also very good. Restaurant and service were good and main and bathroom clean. If you're in the mood for delicious Birria tacos, DO NOT order from here. I've made it my mission to find the best Birria tacos in south Florida, and these are the worst ones I've found so far. They're extremely dry (I'm not exaggerating, they're beyond dry) and the flavor is just not it. They're also really small and come with a very small ramekin of consome. The flavor of the consome left a lot to be desired. And don't even get me started on the churros! I am so annoyed with myself for spending my money on this place. I paid $8 for an order of six churros... turns out they are churro bites (they were not advertised as such on the menu). So I got six tiny churro balls instead of actual churros. Admittedly, they tasted great, but not worth it at this price point. I got the equivalent of one churro for $8. That's more than a dollar for each individual bite. I ordered through Uber Eats, in case you're wondering. And to be clear, I make an effort to leave positive reviews and this is my first time leaving a negative review anywhere. Came here after shopping at Sawgrass Mall and it was such a pleasant surprise. I had the carnitas and chicken tacos. They were great and flavorful. The carnitas taco was my favorite of the two. WOW!! What a delicious gem of a restaurant! It's incredibly clean. Service is phenomenal. The food is fresh, tasty and all homemade. The corn tortillas are handmade for the tacos and the three sauces you get at each table has been refrigerated and each is to die for. Four of us went in and loved every bite. We were glad no one was sitting next to us because we kept making lots of embarrassing "mmmmm"noises while eating. I had the Pollo chicken bowl and was surprised that it came with a crispy fried flour tortilla. I thought it was just gonna come in a paper bowl super tasty. My daughter had the fried mahi fish tacos with purple cabbage, and corn. OMG! It was so delicious and the best she has ever had. Someone got the Elote, a vegetable burrito and the chicken quesadilla. Everyone was so satisfied and we usually don't take leftovers home, but you better believe we took every scrap of extra food home!! This is a new tacos place in my area. Finally get to try it out with my hubby last week. On Tuesday, they have their 2 for 2 special. It's basically bogo for specific tacos so bring a date. I cannot believe my only place, Yelp, for the most accurate reviews failed big time. This place is NO good. First, the prices are high. Then you cannot mix your tacos, all have to be same. The Tuesday deal is absurd. Sides, you have to get beans and rices separately. OK, these are not too important for me. Most important for me is the taste. We got Mahi and Pollo tacos. The fish the chicken was cooked probably an hour ago and was just put in the tacos prior. We ate our tacos, cold! The corn tortillas were good, the sauces were pretty decent too. That's it. Everything else was mediocre at best! I'd rather go to Tijuana Flats (another bad place). I am just saying this so you can see how bad is this place. Never going back. read more

Chilacos Taco's hit the spot! Where to start they ask. One thing to say, is I am a foodie and my most favorite thing I like to eat is tacos. I've seen this location while in Sunrise across the way and said, I'm try that spot. And by far today was that day. We got the Carnitas with the pineapple, my son got the children's beef tacos that are two, we ordered the chips and guacamole, and to top it all off, we also ordered a chicken quesadilla! The location is very clean but you also have to remember it is a very small location. They have great time work with each other! In my photos I also posted on how much seating is available. Everyone is nice inside, and staff is very polite. If you ask them a question about the tacos, they gladly give you a very friendly response. I also enjoy their bottle water that they have. Beat my expectation! The bathroom is also very clean and neat inside. I will definitely be back to have more memories made here on all the delicious items they have. The service was great and the place is clean and upbeat. The food is the problem. I ordered maji taco and Lengua taco. The maji was tiny chunks of fish in a heavy flavorless batter, served with corn and a tiny sprinkle of onions. The fish was room temperature and the corn was cold. What a great new addition to the neighborhood!! I noticed the sign on a visit to fresh market in the plaza and thought I'd give it a try. It's a cute little place with just a few tables. Maybe seating for 25-30 people. The colors are bright and inviting. The staff is so nice. The people who work there have a way to make you feel like they know you and they're thrilled about you visiting. My first time there was just an unplanned visit to check it out but the food is amazing and it has become my goto taco Tuesday spot. I'm still exploring the menu but I've tried pretty much all the tacos. The chefs special tacos are fantastic gourmet tacos that are easily as good or better than then anything else you can think of. The taco Tuesday specials are the classic street style. The tortillas are delicious and the texture is perfect. The fried avocado taco is amazing and was an instant hit in my house. They operate as a fast food chain, but all their ingredients and menu items are fresh, i was blown away. We ordered a steak bowl that my wife and i loved, the bowl was fresh, crunchy and delicious. We had the chef's steak tacos and i must confess i am not a big fan of corn tortillas, but i was blown away by them because they were freshly made, nice and warm and tasted delicious. The chips were hot, had just come out of the fryer, bit were not oily and the texture was perfect, super crunchy. I make delicious home made guac, and because of it, most of the guac i eat at restaurants i dont like, but their guac was the best one i have ever had in a restaurants. The elote was great too. If you go there, dont leave without eating their churros, because they make it fresh, the dulce the leche inside the churros will be super hot, careful not to burn your tongue, but it comes with nutella on top and were delicious. Increíble!!! Ok so I went to this new place open only 6 days. I went on a Sunday night w/2 friends. The place is very small, only a few tables as it used to be a Subway. We were greeted by Carolina, seemingly the owner, and a lot of smiles from her support staff. She kindly offered us a seat at the counter which turned out to be the best seat in the house because we were right there by the kitchen and her work space. Think of it like the chef's table. Carolina offered us a few samples of her exclusive Mexican drinks, some alcoholic and some not. All her samples tasted delicious and refreshing. She explained what each were with great pride that was inviting and contagious. We all ordered tacos and appetizers. The elote corn was fabulous and delicious. It was very hot In temperature and fresh, full of taste. I highly recommend this starter. My friends also enjoyed it. Yum!!! Our second app was sharable. We ordered the chips and guacamole. It was enough for 3 of us to have a few Chips each with a mouthful of fresh guacamole. I didn't order a drink but my friend had a passionfruit margarita which was very tasty. Read that again...wait...dont...I'll say it. Homemade churros stuffed with dulce de leche and Nutella. I don't even love churros. But these were a bite-size fantasy. The crunchy exterior was there and the dulce de leche was right on point. Not only do I recommend this place...I HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT. I sort of hate doing that for selfish reasons...this place is going to be super popular before you know it....full all the time...but worth the wait when word gets out. Go before it gets too crazy. Very good, however there are no vegan options. The guac/salsa and chips can be altered if you ask for no cheese on top of the chips. There are a few vegetarian options, but you have to take almost everything off to make it vegan. They have bowls which you may be able to alter, but it seems like they only have yellow rice and beans with lard.
