When you walk into this place has a pretty relaxed atmosphere; directly through the front door to the back is a bar, and there are multiple seats off to the left; stepping inside makes you feel like you're in Mexico. I really enjoyed the decor. The grilled shrimp was delicious, and I will go back again just for the shrimp taco; it also came with salsa and chips, which was also very good. Yes, the tacos here are good, but I would also recommend their burritos. I Love Tacos is a somewhat humble restaurant with a friendly staff and, again, offers good Mexican food. Pricing is about what you would expect to pay. Overall, I cannot say that this is the best Mexican restaurant that I have ever tried, but I can say that I have definitely had worse. While I would not go put of my way to eat here, if you are in the neighborhood come give them a try. Came with my wife and niece for an evening out. The Passion Fruit Margaritas were AMAZING. Started with nachos and then moved onto tacos and a Mexican lasagna. Love the decor. Love the staff. Love the food. And most of all, love the Margaritas. Went here for a quick dinner with my girlfriend. We arrived around 5pm on a Sunday and the entire restaurant was empty. Ther only people there were several wait staff and I presume a cook. We're ordered our food: chips and salsa, chicken enchiladas suiza and chicken los sopes. We also ordered a water and a coke. Bless their hearts that were had to ask for silverware and straws. In their defense they were all young and id I wad that young and left unsupervised I probably would've spent more time talking than waiting on my one customer also. The food came quickly but was so devoid of flavor that it angered me. " Authentic Mexican food" is what they advertise but this tasted like no one knew what Mexican food was. The chicken tasted canned, the salsa tasted like tomatoes only, and the Los sopes tasted like old oil. The price was RIDICULOUS FOUR what we were served. Prices are reasonable. Like it much better than La Rural in the Town Center. Or even Tijuana Flats in Weston. You sit down look at the menu and you are served. In the other two restaurants you order from the counter and then sit down someone brings the food to you. Sometimes the right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing in Tijuana Flats. And in La Rural there are very inexperienced young folk working there who struggle to communicate and get it right. Plus the food was not impressive . Just got over a 2 day sick from eating there. I used to love this place when it first opened..great food, fun atmosphere, and the owner, the lady who ran the place made sure everyone was happy. Flash forward to last week..went on a Tuesday night. The place is filthy, the menu was dirty, one waiter for the entire place. The place smelled like mold from the fountain in the middle of the room that clearly had not been cleaned in years. Tables dirty, chairs rickety, the entire place was lifeless, like a funeral home. I got the "grilled" shrimp tacos....not grilled at all..just cooked in a spicy chipotle type sauce. Shrimp were rubbery, and tasteless..felt ill almost immediately after eating. The food was on par with a taco bell, but clearly, not as fresh...isn't that something? In a diverse Latin community, there seems to be no decent Mexican food. Maybe I'll try Columbian next time. I saw a Groupon for I Love Tacos during one of my retail therapy stints. We had the shrimp and fish tacos. Fish tacos have been my recent go to dishes and these did not disappoint. So the bae and I wanted to partake in some Taco Tuesday fun. Here unfortunately they don't have deals. But by the end of my 9 hour shift, I did not want to drive far or deal with a large rowdy crowd and was really craving an enchilada. I Love Tacos is less than 10 min. from my house, and I wanted to bring my bf to try it out. Sorry guys but I did not venture off from my comfort zone lol. I ordered the shrimp enchilada again. Their white queso here is solid! This is the kind of cheese I get giddy for when i eat Mexican food, what I search high and low for, not that processed, out-of-a-Lunchables, nuked in the microwave "cheese". We got there in the last hour so it was dead in which I was content with that. The 2 things that I was not favoring in my dinner experience was the stinginess of the shrimp. There was about 6-8 shrimp, and of very small size; probably the reason why I was still a bit hungry after whipping my plate clean. Secondly, I ordered a coke in the classic bottle, $3!! For no refills, just because its in that glass vintage bottle is a bit ridiculous. My boyfriend loved his veggie burrito! Just had lunch for 5 de Mayo, with all my Co workers, our boss wanted to treat us for lunch! Unfortunately when we got to this establishment the man whom i am assuming was the owner was extremely rude. He and his mother seemed to be the ones that were waiting our tables. We would ask for certain things and for some reason everything we would ask for was UNAVAILABLE. I understand that it was 5 de Mayo but it was an empty restaurant and only 1pm in the afternoon. We asked for two appetizers of guacamole and they only brought one. We asked for another one IN ENGLISH AND SPANISH. And after asking 3 times they finally wanted to tell us that they didn't have anymore, but then one of our entrees had a side of guacamole. It makes absolutely no sense. I also asked for dessert and that was another item that was NOT AVAILABLE. We will not be visiting this restaurant ever again. I've been going to I Love Tacos since before I was on Yelp. Now, I can finally share the wonders of this authentic Mexican restaurant with the world. I Love Tacos, located in Weston, can be found in a non-descript plaza adjacent to a hotel. There are few lights in the windows as you approach but once you step inside, you're in a whole new world. From the tables to the ceiling, the decorations are vibrant and have a party feel to them. There is also a Mexican flag hanging right in the middle of the room. The tables are decorated with spanish magazine covers and your various hot sauces are housed in mini wrestling rings. Now to the food. When I was told about this restaurant, it was described to me in a certain way. My friend, born and raised in Mexico City, said "This restaurant serves food that reminds me of growing up in Mexico City." If my friend said it was authentic, then it was. My favorite dish is the Tacos al Pastor. From the perfectly cooked and seasoned pork with the pineapple, it is delicious. Most recently, I had the Tacos Locos. These tacos come with al pastor, carne asada, chicharron, guacamole and pico de gallo. The plate came with three tacos packed with meat. This place is the Willy Wonka Factory of Mexican restaurants. And that's a GOOD thing. The tables are adorned with either posters of famous Mexicans or collages of covers of spanish gossip magazines (think: the Enquirer en Español). Each table has a mini wrestling ring (with a mini luchador in it!) and the roof is adorned with brightly colored decorations. It's just a Mexican fantasy land - and I love it. I'd been to the other ILT in Pines - but never to this location. This one is a heck of a lot closer to me - so they will be seeing my mug more often. I came in with a group and we got a few things to share. First...the Nachos. When I say nachos it doesn't do it justice...these are proper nachos that deserve the capitalization of a proper name. The Nachos. A massive basket, lined with aluminum foil - you toss in some crispy chips, drench it in some sort of cheese sauce, fresh queso blanco, pico and that's it. Sounds simple right? NO...it's an experience. I promise these nachos might change your life. We got the vegetarian option, not even sure if you can add meat, but if you can...this would be my meal each time. We also got Queso Fondido. It had chunks of sausage in it and comes with accompanying tortillas. A little salty, but still delicious and a great starter. The staff is also top notch here. Super attentive, nice, offered up recommendations, answered questions...nailed it. I'm a fan, and will be back to try more things on the menu very soon. read more

Our third stop of the Food Fight Taco Edition was I love Tacos. After tasting a few tacos which did not knock our socks off, we didn't know what to expect before coming in. We went in and immediately proceeded to sit at the bar. We figured since we are only just trying out their tacos for the challenge, we might as well just order a round of drinks to go with it also. After reading the description of the taco they put up for the challenge, I was really looking forward to it. I mean, who wouldn't love onion, Crema and Queso Fresco in their tacos. I love the taste of their tacos, and all the ingredients were there. Particularly they weren't stingy with the Guacamole and the Tomatillo Sauce. The serves was great. The bartenders were very eagerly explaining the tacos we were having. You can tell they are very passionate about their food and proud of it. Even though at the end they didn't win the challenge, but in our mind they had the best tasting tacos, and we will go back and revisit to try some of their other dishes. read more

Let me start by stating that this place is underrated. I'm not sure what folks walking in here are expecting, but if you're looking for quality food that was clearly prepared by someone passionate about what they do, this is the place to be! From the moment I walked in here with my better half, we were greeted near immediately, given the option to sit wherever we'd like and provided chips and salsa - all within a 3-5 min span. The salsa, which we've previously had at the Pembroke Pines location, is better than I remember. The salsa is more so puréed, rather than pico de gallo style - which is great. Both salsas (green and red) are about a medium spice. When the food came, that's when the party started! I ordered the habanero shrimp enchiladas, which more more similar to soft tacos. The sauce was great, although a little more spice could be even better. The shrimp were cooked perfectly and the tortillas were also perfect. My girlfriend ordered the wet burrito, which was super tasty and of course, very wet! Our water was replaced with fresh glasses of water frequently and the Corona I ordered topped off the entire meal. I can't say enough about this place. Before I write this I must get this word out "STUFFED!!" I walked into this store front m it wasn't very busy was promptly seated by Claudia. She set my table gave me a menu asked if I wanted a drink. I ordered an "Agua de Horchata" came out in a mason jar mug with cinnamon powder sprinkled on top. I orders the Nacho's Ignacio and literally not 2 minutes later the largest Nacho's in terms of weight, sheer size, covered in cheese, meat & pico de gallo. It was the kind of thing where I had to Double check that I didn't order the family portion. Generous portion is an understatement to the size of this. It's taste was as big as the serving, cheese was hot, and flavorful as well as the meat. Claudia told me if I could finish it she would comp me a beer and my reply was if I finished this dish she would need to reserve my hospital bed. All in all it was all I could eat as it was just overwhelming in size and taste well worth it I walked away paying $18 tip included. I would totally recommend a stop in get the Nacho's but DON'T order it alone lol. read more

The waiter said this salad no longer comes with beans or corn but it is clearly stated in the menu. They said they have to change their menu. Who's fault is that? And also if not all the ingredients are in this salad should they have charged me the same amount? She asked them if she could change it and they said no that she had to keep it, pay for it and order something else off the menu. When she orders a burrito the waiter goes to the back and then comes back and tells her it has to be the same price as what she ordered. This was after we already specifically asked if it was okay to order anything. My friend was fed up with them at this point and we decided to leave and not order anything else. When we are walking out of the restaurant the cook in the back sarcastically screams bye! Which I believe is the owner or manager because the waiters kept going back to her to ask her for permission. The famous wet burrito steals my heart every single time, but on my last trip I gave into the chicken tinga tacos which were absolutely delicious! They come served as three tacos and they're pretty light compared to the other dishes. A fair warning this location is absolutely hard to find! Very well hidden in the confusing shopping plazas of Weston. I spent about 15 minutes going in circles and the fact that my GPS (Waze) was a bit off on the location made it a bit difficult.
