    Lunch Specials

What a hidden gem! My husband and I were planning on going to Davie Taco which is next door, but the line was huge. He noticed La Esquina next door and they had their lunch menu outside. I saw tacos so we said let's try it! This place is large and has a big bar as well. Lots of seating and a really cool vibe. We were greeted immediately and told we could sit wherever we liked. We picked a corner booth. Shortly after we were brought hot tortilla chips with salsa and beans. Very tasty. Our server was nice and helped us with recommendations. We went with the lunch tacos which she said are a bigger portion than the other specials, so we got those. You can mix and match chicken, steak, ground beef etc. I got all chicken and my husband got two chicken and two steak. Very flavorful tacos, they were delicious! A little greasy but I think that was just the sauce from the meat coming out. The tacos were super fresh, topped with fresh cilantro and onions. They brought us multiple salsas and avocado crema. This place really filled up as we were eating - clearly people know about it! Will definitely be back, thanks for the awesome experience!

I walked into La Esquina feeling nostalgic. Over a period of 22 years, I walked through those doors hundreds of times, from when it was CM Boomers, then Texas Rose, and then Big Dawgs. And now, everything was different, the crowd, the setup, the music, but the bar was still there. Yes, much has changed since those days, but the second I walked in there, I didn't mind the change one bit. It was Friday night, a DJ was playing popular spanish songs that even I recognized. Not just Mexican, but Argentinian, Puerto Rican, Colombian, Cuban, etc. You name it. He even played Lambada not to leave Brazil behind, and also YMCA, which was very surprising to hear. The best part was that the crowd was loving it. Some were eating, some were dancing between the tables, some were singing along or simply nodding their head. If you were not in a happy and partying mood when you walked in, within minutes that would change. Such festive and happy ambiance is simply contagious. The bartender was attentive even though I think she would have preferred to be dancing on the floor. I was probably one of the handful of non-hispanic people in there, and I simply had a blast. I didn't try the food but I have heard enough positive remarks from others to know that it is good, but at that time, that festive atmosphere was exactly what I needed, and it changed my Friday night from lousy to amazing. I will definitely go back again

I have to say, we popped up in here because it was the closest to off the wall. Our waitress was fast and constantly checking up on us. We got an appetizer of elote which was a little too sour for my liking but edible. I ordered the fajitas and they were sooo good! The tortillas were fresh! They had music going and after a while started calling people up to do karaoke. It was very fun and a good laugh. Nice environment.

The rice that was in my burrito but shouldn't have been there.

Ordered queso dip, steak quesadillas, and a super macho American burrito. Food came out quickly. Cheese dip was ok, kind of too thick. Salsa was very spicy if you like that. Chips were good. My burrito was good but they put rice in it. It does not say rice on the menu. The waitress argued with me and said it comes with rice. I showed her the menu and was not offered for it to be remade or a discount. I got less chicken because rice took up half the burrito. The steak quesadillas was shredded beef not steak. Overall ok, not great. I won't be back.

Decided to give this place a whirl after finding it on Yelp! It did not disappoint! The decor is awesome which feels really inviting the moment you step inside! We got exactly what we wanted and needed - fast fresh food & cold beer that hit the Mexican craving right on the money! We will definitely be back! My tacos might look a bit "plain" but she did ask me if I wanted them American style or Mexican style so I assume Mexican style doesn't come with all the stuff we are used to seeing but I stole some topping off my husband's burrito and it worked out just perfectly!

Cane here on a Saturday night after a concert! One of my friends suggested this spot since it's her go-to hangout with her colleagues, and La Esquina did not disappoint. As soon as we walked in, the vibe was amazing! People singing karaoke, dancing, and everyone just having a great time. The drinks were solid and fairly priced, and the food definitely hit the spot.My friend and I shared a Mexican pizza and omg... it was so delicious! I also ordered a mango margarita (huge, definitely sharable with 2) and it was made to perfection. Drinks were strong, food was tasty! My other friends loved their drinks and what they ordered to eat. The staff was super friendly and attentive, which only added to the fun atmosphere. If you're looking for a lively place to grab drinks, sing your heart out, or just enjoy a night out with friends, this is the spot. I cannot wait to come back and try different items on the menu and have the guts to do karaoke.

Amazing place to meet up with friends! Excellent food options. The staff is fabulous. Karaoke nights and live music (check their schedule). We ordered the sampler appetizer platter and it was perfect for our party of ten.

Such a cute small restaurant. I love to find locations that are not commercialized Mexican and you can tell how authentic they are right when you walk in. The star of the show is their refried beans and the best part of they are given with chips and salsa when you sit down. It was Thursday ladies night so you know I didn't miss out on the margarita specials. So delicious! The employees were all very helpful, welcoming, and extremely nice!

Came here to try it out because I wanted to go to a new Mexican place and it did not disappoint! Parking was ample and very easy to find the location from the road and parking lot. The windows and walls are decorated very nicely with sugar skull and other Mexican items. Walking in, the hostess took us to our table very quickly and gave us our menus to look at. We did sit for a bit before anyone even came over to give us water and take our drink order so it was a little bit of a wait that annoyed me, especially because the place only had a handful of other tables filled at the time we were there. The chips and beans they brought over to the table were amazing. The chips had a nice crunch to it and salted perfectly. The beans had a nice consistency and were also seasoned well! I did the create your own combo and got the taco and enchilada. The taco shell was perfect and the ground beef I had inside of it was juicy! The meat was very well cooked and the cheese and lettuce on top were very fresh. The ground beef enchilada I also got was great. The tortilla was the right size and a hefty portion of meet on the inside of it as well, also cooked perfectly! The rice was okay, a little undercooked for me so I didn't really eat much of it but the refried beans were great! Decent prices, my dish was about $15 after taxes and everything and I had a little bit of leftovers to take home. Overall pretty nice place and I loved that they had a mariachi band taking songs requests and going out to the tables while we were there as well!

    Birria tacos

I came here on a lunch break with some friends from work and tried their birria tacos. They were great, very cheesy and full of flavor as they should be. The consume they give you was a bit small but other than that, it was a good meal. The service was good, they were attentive and very kind. It's a nice little spot that can be great to have food with coworkers. I would recommend and will be coming back.

Super fun vibe and dj was great food was ok but we need to make more of a dance floor but overall very fun spot to enjoy a night out. The service was ok. The best part is having an open mic to sing your life away. Great spot for karaoke.

First time eating at la Esquina Restaurant. My twin sister told me about this spot and this place is a great place to eat and dance away the calories. They have live music with a DJ and Karaoke. The price of the food is reasonable and the sangria was delicious. Overall a good spot especially in the weekends.

My friend recommended this restaurant so we went. Grace and Angie were both the servers that took care of me. Both of them were attentive and sweet. This restaurant was such a party place. They had a DJ and karaoke on Saturday nights. For food I had the shrimp tacos. The shrimp tacos were one for $5 or 4 for $16. I got the 4 for $16. If came with a green sauce and it was soo yummy. For the drink I got a sangria and it was delicious. I loved the ambiance, the food and my drink. The parking is free and is in front of the restaurant.

Is this place kid and dog friendly?

Yes kid friendly. It does have a bar but they also tables which I've seen many families seated. They have 2 tables outside which I think should be ok for anyone with a dog. May want to reach out to the establishment to confirm.

Because it was my birthday, we opted for the premium menu. Honestly, we tried a variety of meats and although they were all good, when we go back, I'd probably just order the galbi. We did come back months later and this time, for my husband's birthday lunch after we played golf. His brother and dad were also with us and we tried their AYCE Korean fried chicken. AYCE for $15.99, but the catch is you have to order a drink. So, basically, more like $20. Chicken was good and we tried different flavors: soy garlic, spicy, cheese, honey (powder), and plain. The honey was my favorite, but to each their own! We tried to eat as much as we could to get our money's worth, but in the end--in my opinion--it's worth just getting it as an order, which is practically the same price and no requirement to order a drink. Overall, I would go back for kbbq... we have a good amount of kbbq spots in the county and of all the ones we've gone to, Hallyu is part of my top 3. Best tip we can give you: order the honey fries!

I really enjoy the experience at round1 so hosting my nieces birthday party here was a no-brainer. When we booked the party room we were told we could bring an ice cream cake. A few days before the party we get a call that we couldn't do that, which was one of the reasons why we wanted to celebrate her birthday here. The check in process was time consuming and did not go smoothly. We were told to go upstairs, then to go back downstairs (which had a line) and then back upstairs. We asked if we could put the balloons, decorations and gift bags in the room while we wait to check in because it was a lot to carry and we were told no. Carlos was helpful and attentive. He made sure the soda pitcher was always filled, we had enough napkins, and periodically checked in on us. The party room is spacious, has karaoke and you are able to decorate it. The cake and check in process could have been communicated better could but the party turned out great and my niece had a blast with her friends.

There's only so much equipment and it doesn't feel like they're cleaning in between. The staff feel like zombie and don't acknowledge or respond when you speak with them. It's like they've been burned so many times it's concerning. Someone spilled wine or juice and they bother to clean it up until I told Arthy something .. which how obviously ignored because it remained dirty for over an hour. Add in the south Florida heat, and the ac having a hard time to keep up, alongside the smell of sweaty people , and shoes.. glorious! The food lines are ridiculous and they close kiosks because they said the kitchen was backed up. But the kitchen team look like they were just hanging out. So we stood in line for 25 minutes to order the ice cream then spent another 15 minutes waiting for them to tell me they didn't have the flavor ice cream we wanted. Then the attendant goes, we don't have anymore pick something else and everything looked like it was done. I told him it's ridiculous and they really need to look at their operation, disable flavor in the kiosk! He had hissy fit and then grudgingly scooped the ice cream. The food itself is perfectly fine and basic arcade food and actually well priced. None of the issues were his fault.. all due to management, but both customers and the staff suffer with the lack of management. I wouldn't say anything if it couldn't be fixed.. but it can be!
