When I walked in I could smell clean, so it's definitely clean. From the guy at the counter to the gal who brought my food everyone is so nice. Like so nice! Sometimes on Wednesday I go to the food trucks across the street at Volunteer Park so I decided a taco salad sound amazing and went here instead. Too bad they don't have taco salad lol but I didn't ding them for it. I thought I saw a taco salad in a photo but that was nachos. Just a suggestion I'd come very often if they did! I'd go back with friends but this won't be a regular spot for me, unfortunately. Carbs don't like me. BIG PLUS $3 off burritos on Wednesday! The guacamole was really good just small. More like a side of guacamole with a big basket of chips. I also noticed these isn't any fresh vegetable on the menu, pickled onion, pickled cabbage? I'm guessing everything is made from a restaurant supplier not the restaurant. I ordered my carnitas burrito without rice because I was looking for something light and didn't want the extra carbs. The burrito was good it just wasn't hot. The cheese didn't even melt. Usually a big no for me I like food really hot if it's supposed to be hot. But I was really hungry I had not eaten all day so yes I ate it anyway. The meat was too sweet for me. It said grilled pineapple & onion but I think the pineapple may be cooked into the meat? Also if it makes a difference to anyone the menu says Monterrey cheese it's actually a mix of Monterrey & cheddar. I wanted to add jalapeño however they don't have them. The salsa they bring to the table is very good, at least there was a spicy one. When I go again I'll try the carne asada tacos. They play nice music it's a good spot to go with friends. The food is nicely plated. Also they offer a refrigerator case full of interesting beverages and beer. I totally recommend this place for tacos, quesadillas & burritos. Honestly I'm really disappointed.. I was looking forward to enjoying a simple 3 taco carnitas order something that should've taken less than 5mins to prepare especially on a taco Tuesday.. I was one of the only customers in the restaurant when I placed my order these server mentioned my order should only take about 7 minutes. It took them 30 and 3 people came in after me and dine in and got their meal before me.. just be honest about lunch time service.. people are on their lunch break if you can't delivery give the customer a heads up .. Went here with my wife who got into the event they recently had and boy am I glad I did. Everything from the staff to the food to the cleanliness of the place was amazing. The line was a bit long but went by insanely quick and we placed our order, four tacos and then one carnitas burrito. The price for the burrito seemed a bit much but after receiving it, my goodness that price is justified! The size of the burrito was insane! It was stuffed with rice, beans, caramelized onions, the carnitas and baked pineapple. The carnitas was beyond tender and there was so much in the burrito. Once I picked it up, I couldn't put it down because it was so amazing. That and because it began falling apart! The rice was seasoned wonderfully as well and the cheese was melted perfectly. It came with sauce that was equally as amazing. I was so full by the end of it, I was ready for a nap! The tacos were all really good looking and had a nice amount of filling. I took a bit of the steak taco and that was one of the best I've had, easily! Next time I will definitely try their churros which seemed amazing and the elote that everyone seemed to be ordering. First of all, I thank our community manager for planning this. It was nice to see a few faces from the Yelp community so a little get together was nice. The employees were pretty busy, but they didn't hide their friendliness. This was hidden in a shopping plaza I don't frequent, but once I got in there, it was nice. The vivid colors and decor gave it a warm, welcoming feel. It was also a little more packed than expected. I enjoyed the 4 tacos and their refreshing beverage. The tacos were oily, but yummy. They were at least not too dry or overcooked. Awesome little spot that I had no idea was here . To be honest , the tacos are the main attraction and you should stick with them as your option !! New taco spot alert near sawgrass for some casual eats! I tried 3 of their various taco offerings. My favorite was the steak - pleasantly satisfied with the flavors. Runner up was the carnitas. And I was feeling risky to try the LENGUA (beef tongue)! The taste/texture is a little different than most meats and it's cooked well. I like how they carry that option as I have yet to see a taco spot carry that as a protein option - pretty unique if you asked me. All their tacos came with generous portioned fillings. Decided to grab a quick bite after my mall run. I instantly remembered that Chilacos Tacos was just around the corner. I was not disappointed, I was greeted as soon as I walked in by the lovely staff. Inside was well kept and very clean. I ordered and sat, within 5 minutes my food was ready. I loved the fish taco and the carnitas- it was so delicious. Can't forget my Guava Jarritos on a hot day like today. Came across this place after doing some shopping at Sawgrass mall. It was on Cinco de Mayo so the place was pretty full but luckily we got a table right after ordering. The place is really small, the vibe of the place felt good, they had music playing. And had the workers going around asking if we were doing fine. What we got for drinks were two lime margaritas which were really good! For food my sister got the carnitas tacos, order brought 3. We also got the elote which was a big portion and tasted delicious. I ordered the nachos but they were okay. The protein was the ground beef which wasn't my favorite in taste. I should've asked to see if they could've replaced the protein but didn't. Mexican street food around the corner from my house... yes please! Last night my daughter and I were excited to check out this new dining establishment. We were greeted by the owner with a warm smile and welcome upon entering. Louisa (the cashier) was so sweet and did not rush us at all while we decided what we wanted to order. She even provided samples of their delicious Aguas Frescas. My daughter decided on a selection of three tacos (Steak, Pollo Loco and Avocado), and I went with the Chicken Fried Burro. We also got an appetizer of their Elote (Street Corn). After paying, Louisa invited us to seat ourselves and advised the food would be ready in about fifteen minutes. We sat at a table in the colorful and very clean restaurant while waiting. The food was brought out, and it was so fresh and delicious. We loved our Elote appetizer (made with chile, lime, corn and fresh cojita cheese). My daughter thoroughly enjoyed each of her tacos, and my Chicken Fried Burro was delish. You could tell they use the freshest ingredients and quality meats. Interesting trivia- the gentleman who launched this restaurant is also the head chef and partner at El Bacon de Las Americas (located a few doors down), open since 1997 with six locations in Broward and a seventh coming in Boca. Walked in to a colorful and well lit restaurant. The ambiance is nice. It's a small shop with a few tables, high tops, and chairs at the counter. We were greeted with a smile by a young man and young lady. There were 3 tables taken which was a good thing. I like to see restaurants w/ patrons in them, the empty ones have me second guessing lol I ordered 4 tacos, 2 steak, 1 mahi, and 1 carnitas. Do NOT be in a rush when you order because all the food is cooked to order and I found that awesome. While I waited I took some pics and they explained to me the 3 homemade sauces they have on the tables, green medium sauce, a hot sauce, and an avocado sauce. It took about 10 mins to get the food and the wait was well worth it. The steak tacos were so tender, the mahi taco was my second fav as the seasoning and crunch was on point but they put cold corn on the top of it which I was surprised, the CARNITAS was my absolute FAVORITE!!! The carnitas taco has so much flavor and the pineapple on it just takes it up 2 levels. I also put some of the house made hot sauce on it and WATCH OUT THERE NOW....THE BEST!!!! The only negative I have to say and if I could I'd take 1/2 a star but def not a full star....I suggest you eat the tacos at the restaurant. They are very wet and may not hold up if taken out. I know for a fact I wouldn't be able to make it home and enjoy them because they'd prob fall apart. That's not going to keep me away though HAHA They do have specials. Cute location. Food is kinda .... Meh. We ordered tortilla chips with guacamole and a side of "yellow cheese". The chips and guacamole were pretty decent (pic included). Stay away from the cheese.... Food and atmosphere is good, but they have yet to refund me for a second table I was "accidentally" charged for. My table order: $38.73, but I paid using the QR code they gave me, which apparently was a different table (their total: $48.51). The staff assured me it would be refunded and charged me for my table. I read a few of the reviews before eating there and i dont know how ALL the reviews were not high ratings.. I was impressed by the taste of the beef burrito. I really could not compare it to another small mexican type spot. The front staff were friendly and professional. The only possible negative was the price of the burrito was a few dollars more than its competition at the same size but the taste was worth the xtra few bucks. My opinion, a $13.50 burrito WITH small tortilla chips side would be more reasonable and competitive. I think i would go 2 or 3 times a week if slightly lower price or included chips and dip. Anyways, EASY 5 star for me. Great location with easy parking.. Definately would recommend. Bathroom was spotless too. read more

This place just recently opened in Sunrise and as you all know there is not good Mexican food in south Florida. This place is my favorite Mexican place so far and very inexpensive. They offer 10 different taco options, quesadillas , burritos and desserts. You can order at the counter or they come to your table. The only thing I did not like was the chips were not all the way fried and the dessert I wanted they did not have it. The service was good and the ambiance was very nice. Had a craving for Mexican food and chose stop in at Chilacos tacos. Place is nice and clean and staff is welcoming, greeting you when you enter. While deciding what I was going to order I noticed that the tables are cleaned each time a a guest leaves (great job), after placing my order i stopped at the bathroom to wash my hands and the bathroom were spotless. The tacos were excellent but there were two disappointing factors; they were out of pastor meat and burrito had some sort of unauthentic yellow cheese which did not fit the PLA or profile. Finally an employee did come over and asked how we were enjoying the food and the place. Overall Chilacos tacos is a good spot and I would consider returning to eat the tacos but I'll probably stick to my usual spot. read more

This brand new spot just opened up across from volunteer park and it's the best spot to check out after a nice walk out or after the play ground with the kiddies.. they have different daily specials; like 2 for 5$ tacos on tuesdays and 3$ off burritos on wednesdays. The food was very tasty and the customer service was great!!! I really love the decor they have and the colorful seats. Only reason I couldn't score a 5 is because I didn't get that authentic flavor and the Monterey cheese inside the burrito was not melty and felt a bit cold when I bit it however I will say the food was good none the less .. I live very close and since I tried it the first time I've been back repeatedly. I've never stayed to eat, always ordered to-go. I've placed my order online, over the phone, and in person, and found my order is always correct and prepared promptly. I've had their chicken tacos, birria tacos and chicken burrito, all were very good. I've had better birria elsewhere, but I do still like this one. I have also tried their guac and chips, thumbs up. I wouldn't say there is anything mind blowing here, but good, fresh, Mexican food at a reasonable price isn't always easy to find, and it keeps me coming back. I was in central Broward and looking for something good to eat. So glad I happened upon Chilacos! They are in a commercial plaza a couple of blocks east of the Sawgrass Mills complex. Parking is easy and plentiful. I went at an off time so I was the only customer there. The two ladies who greeted me were very warm, kind and helpful. I started with a cup of elite (I prefer elite off of the cob, easier to eat). I also ordered three tacos. I got the steak and lengua tacos traditional style (just onion and cilantro) and I got the maji (American: Mahi) taco the dressed way, which had Crema, pickled cabbage, and corn. They bring a carrier with 3 salsas to your table. There was requisite tomatillo mild green, a red hotter one (several places do habanero, I did not ask what there's was based on), and a non-spicy avocado salsa. I am #teamgreen all the way when it comes to salsas, so I was in heaven! The elote was very good. The maji taco was bite size pieces of breaded fish. I was glad I got that one with the extra stuff on it, very delicious! The carne asada, and especially the Lengua ones are on point. As another reviewed noted, not every place can do Lengua properly, tongue is not quick or easy to prepare properly (which is why you don't see it at americanized places that promote people to only eat Tacos on Tuesday for some stupid reason). Will be coming back again! Wish this was closer to Coral Springs, although it would be dangerous as I'd be there 3 times a week at least! read more

This is a relatively new place that I honestly would have never known about if my friend didn't invite me to join her. The taco competition out there is pretty steep so compared to some of my favorite spots, this would not be a first choice for me. That being said, the food was decent. I had the elote (street corn), mahi taco, and carnitas taco. The corn was very creamy but didn't have much spice to it. The tacos were good but I just felt that everything lacked flavor. They have sauce on each table which I used in my tacos and with my chips and those were delicious. There is a creamy green sauce that's yummy and the red sauce has a little kick to it which was much needed. This place has been open for about two months. The interior is compact, bright colors and festive. I ordered three fried avocado tacos. It is a good size and it taste good however, the taco and the avocado needs a bit more seasoning. I also ordered an elote which I LOVE! The corn is on point you can taste the butter, mayo, and queso fresco , I personally love adding lime, Chamoy, and Tahin to give it a stronger flavor, but I recommend it. One was spiked with tequila... delicious! The restaurant itself is very quaint with a few tables to sit at and a bar top. Everything we ordered was delicious! The chicken burrito was very filling and tasty. It had lots of refried beans inside, which I love. The elote was a great appetizer and comes seasoned inside of a bowl, rather than on the Cobb. For the tacos, I ordered one steak taco, one pollo loco, and one avocado taco. My favorite was the steak, but you really can't go wrong with any of them. Small taco spot located in sunrise. I tried 4 different tacos when I went and their mini churros for dessert. I had the steak, fried mahi, Al pastor, and chicken taco. I honestly couldn't pick my favorite cause I enjoyed all of them for different reasons. All were packed with different flavors that complimented the meat/fish on the taco. Only complaint is the tacos fell apart because the tortillas needed to be cooked longer. The mini churros were served hot and stuffed. I ordered the steak taco. I was in the area and starving. Never been here before soon as I got to my car, pulled it out and it was saturated in oil. You can see the puddle of oil in the picture. It is one of those places where you walk in and you order at the counter, then they give you a number, and bring you the food. The menu is on top of the counter and it is easy to read and pick. The lady at the cash register was really nice, she welcomed me, gave me suggestions, and then made sure that I enjoyed what I got. I was so excited when I got my food. The first thing that I had was the elote. It was good but not the best I have ever had. The corn was corn from a can, not actual corn so I was a little disappointed, but it was seasoned well. I also got the tacos al pastor. They pork was seasoned well but I wished it had more spice. I was a super fan of the sauces. When they brought the food to the table, they brought over a basket with three sauces. My favorite one was the creamy green one, and the spicy one. I always feel like sauces change the game of what I am eating so I really enjoyed trying all of them, and having the liberty to mix them.
