So, I was a little apprehensive when my fiancee wanted me to meet Shelly, our photographer. I explained to Shelly all of the above and told her to please give me direction and a little help. Agreed. Off to do the engagement photos. If there's one thing I appreciated, it was her gently reminding us to get our chins out (think like a turtle and stretch!) when necessary. When we just couldn't bend ourselves into the pose she had in mind and we didn't look comfortable, she didn't force it, she just said "let's try something else." She had us do several things to keep us from thinking about the camera and got some really creative shots. I'm not afraid of how our wedding album will come out. Shelly's good. Check her out.

He went the extra mile - arrived early, stayed late and even help participate... in my proposal plans (I proposed at a local art gallery and he acted as if he were the gallery guide). He has a unique, creative style and was able to capture exactly what I wanted in my engagement proposal photos. Every single one of Jason's photos was incredible and there were over 200 of them! After the photo shoot, he got the photos to us with the quickest turn around time I have ever seen. The ordering process was a breeze and he provided the digital copies to us so that we could use them on our wedding website and Facebook. Jason really bent over backwards for us - whenever we needed something, he was there to provide. Sang was quick to respond to a request for our couple photos and we shot within a week of original…read morecontact. Sang was professional and knowledgeable in selecting areas of our location for us to pose in, offering many options/shots for a reasonable price. However, the only reasons I would rate 4/5 stars is that the original promised deadline to complete the photos in editing was not met (about a day extra before receipt) and some of the poses may have worked for other body types, but were not a clear fit for us. Some of the otherwise lovely photos of us as a couple look like one of us is a serial killer harvesting a victim. This is not true of all of the shots and we definitely have enough to work with, but in retrospect, it is something noteworthy that I would want to be more aware of in the moment. Overall, I would hire Sang again in another need that did not require a hard deadline, and maybe would request to review some of the poses that may not have felt as physically natural to us as a couple since 9 times out of 10 those were the ones that didn't present as well in print.
