From increased language and physical skills to the importance they place on teaching patience, sharing, and independence, our little one is thriving. Paige, Cristal, and now Anissa make such a meaningful effort to reinforce values that will help our kiddo develop, both emotionally and mentally. They've also helped us with several big growth milestones and transitions. The teamwork and communication is really helpful. Beyond the educational benefits, KA is unfussy and grounded -- sometimes a rare find in lower Manhattan. Everyone we've met is empathetic and supportive without coddling; there is structure without rigidity. We were immediately attracted to their leveled, non-reactive approach to big emotions. There are also toys, dolls, and books that represent everyone! And, probably most importantly for a bunch of babies and toddlers, they make the days FUN. Fun art projects, music and dancing, gym and outdoor time, water play, books galore -- June is WIPED at the end of the day and sleeps like a rock at home. We couldn't be happier! They have an awesome gym room for the kids to play around in. During my kid's time here he learned to talk, learned his abcs, numbers, saying sentences, was potty trained, and well socialized with lots of other kids. Our profile. From Lowest Aged Classrooms - Ms. Victoria and Ms. Molly - both so kind, gentle and understanding, which at a younger age, really what kids need. They take note of important things like food intake, health, sign language, and even smaller (but life hack tips) items such as good sippy cups to use, etc. Ms. Monica and Ms. Destiny - they had our (first) son at a very challenging age and really were his first teachers at Goddard. They worked with him to achieve so many milestones. He loves them both dearly! They were upbeat, so dedicated and really got him out of his shell (and may I add out of many bad moods)! We can never thank them enough! Ms. Philena and Ms. Tiana - Both great teachers! Ms. Tiana is so sweet and caring. She keeps kids calm and speaks to them in such a way that they really open up to her. Mrs. Philena is also great, she speaks to the kids like little adults, and helps them to achieve milestones, such as staying dry after a nap, etc. She communicates (as she was the late night teacher) to the parents at pick up about the happenings of the day! Ms. O and Ms. Nina - Ms. O is a model teacher - as she must be for the age she teaches is when they start to get a little "smart"! She is firm and challenges them (holds them accountable) as well as relates to them on a friend level. Ms. Nina is so warm! She knows the unseen things such as if they may have to use the bathroom, or if they are in any type of "mood." She gets to know each kid and treats them as if they were her own. The administration really runs a tight ship - there is never a slip-up. Kellyanne, Yolanda, Sylvia and Emily they are all highly efficient whether it be getting the daily reports, communicating sicknesses/incidents, holidays, or crazy things that parents ask for like pictures of how big the chunks of food their kid are eating (guilty), or swiftly getting ....snacks or throw up off the floor (the sheer number of things that they handle I am sure I only know a small fraction). They basically are the neck to the (very heavy!) head. We could not be happier about the quality of teachers at the Goddard School to entrust them with the foundational years of our children.

The teachers and supervisor are completely unprofessional. Here are the reasons: - My son came injured 4 days out of 5 day (in a week). One day they called my telling me that my son fell down and hit a chair with the forehead. I asked to to see the video. The supervisor told me that it is impossible to show me the video. She does not know that Division of Child Care Services of New York regulates that video surveillance equipment are for the purpose of allowing parents to view their children in the day care. Anyways, parents are in their right to see what happen with their children at the day care. However, the blonde supervisor thinks that parents have to pay the tuition and forget about WATCH their own children. Very UNPROFESSIONAL. - They told me every day that my son ate all the food every day. A couple of days I took my son from the day care without previous notice at 4 pm. Then, they gave me back the whole lunch back. They did not have time to throw away the lunch. However, the daily report on the app (Tadpoles parent) was written - all the food from home-. When next day I asked about the food the supervisor turned and walk away. , she replied that my son ate all the food that the teacher offered to him. That is impossible because they did not open the food container. That is why, my son got home very very hungry every day. - In a very cold day of December, the teachers gave a ride to the babies in Central Park without gloves. I believe they were very busy to put the gloves on to the babies. - They broke the zip of a brand new jacket of my son and they did not say anything to me. - My wife and I always speak over the phone using head phones. However, my son take any small toy and play to speak over the phone. He did not learn that from us. That means, my son has been seeing teacher speak over their mobile phone over and over and over. That could be the reason that babies get injured because they are not well supervised. - On the Tadpoles parent app, Sunshine's 5th ave staff sent us a TEACHER APPRECIATION PDF. On that file, every staff asked for a gift, like Amazon or Visa gift cards, CASH, even they said what things they do not want to get as a gift. Support staff were the only sensible people. They wrote "ANYTHING AND EVERYTHING IS APPRECIATED". - Once I paid the week tuition with my credit card. A couple of weeks later, I did not take my son to the day care. Then I called them to let them know that I will go to pay the tuition in the afternoon but my surprise was when a lady replied me, "it is not necessary you come to pay, I have your credit card information. I can charge the weekly tuition fee". Why did they keep my credit card information? - Once I met my son teacher. She told me that my son does not listen to her because when she tells him - sit down on that chair, my son does not make it-. My son is 1 year old, he does not understand the word's meaning! Very UNPROFESSIONAL. If you appreciate your children, look for a different day care.

They know pretty much all the families are working and so try and make things as easy as possible to handle that working parent life. They also have a large backyard for outdoor play as well as rec room / gym with a rock climbing wall so the children get lots of exercise and fresh air.
