My daughter, D has been struggling with Ketamine addiction for years. After careful research, we…read morechose Cedar because they had decent reviews, were affiliated with the hospital, and also addressed process addictions like the cell phone. Unfortunately her therapist, Shannon, didn't understand Ketamine addiction or even how to help our daughter at all. Instead, Shannon O. belittled D, was very punitive, often taking away her 'tech time' because D brought coffee to a friend, or something else tiny. Even when D was opening up about her adoption and other (overdue) personal things that may have contributed to unhealthy choices, Shannon delayed giving her approved items we brought (shampoo, shorts) and discharged her four days early. In her own words, therapist Shannon literally asked our daughter if she needed to be there. Indeed the other residents and staff were shocked as our daughter had been attending meetings, getting along with all residents and was very much loved by the others. Shannon O. doesn't really care about peoples wellness. It seems Cedar only wants to get the residents on medication and into the affiliated sober houses at discharge.

The supervisor, Kevin, made the admission process a little less painful due to his gentle nature and compassion. I appreciated Kevins knowledge and experience within the complexities of co occurring morbidities. His ability to gather and communicate the necessary items for admission authorization was a true Godsend. I am looking forward to seeing my child return to a healthy happy path.

My husband called for Ensure protein drink 7 times in one day because he never received it, even though they said, "I'll be right back." His kidney doctor had recommended it but apparently his opinion didn't matter. I went to King Sooper and bought some and put it in a cooler full of ice and took it to him. When we left to bring him home, an RN hooked him up to the portable oxygen tank...... and never turned the oxygen ON. He rode for half an hour home with zero oxygen. By the time we got home, he nearly collapsed in the garage with his walker, trying to get in the house. It isn't like this was just any old business this is supposed to be a HEALTH CARE facility. If you have a loved one in this facility, visit EVERY day and take and problems they are having seriously.

No one seems to know what anyone else is doing. Patients are told that there concerns and questions will be answered but no one ever gets back to them or followed up on. The patients are given their food in their rooms. The dining hall is reserved for patients who need help eating. And the food is horrible. I would recommend anyone looking for a rehab facility to look elsewhere, this was not a good choice.
