Dr, refaat did my exam he was precises and gave me a lot of information I wasn't aware and I was also seen the hygienist Kayla she is so nice and did my cleaning really well and when it was time to be seen by the treatment coordinator they were nice and very formative with my insurance and my upcoming appointments. Came in after one year for my mother's dental appt and ended up seeing Bernice Marquez. She is nothing but helpful and friendly, making sure my mother was comfortable. Trust the bad reviews. Run for your money and hide your kids!!! My 2.5 years old son needed an emergency visit consultation since he complained of tooth pain due to recent trauma hitting his already chipped tooth on the table a couple days before. They took his x rays and literally said 1 sentence to my husband that 3 crowns were needed and disappeared. He couldn't ask any questions and was pushed to the front where they push cost estimates of about 2.1k cash out of pocket with laughing gas. When I call to complain, the receptionist ask if we could wait 2 wks for another dentist. I said no, so she moved me to wait for 1 wk and said that this dentist was better than Dr. Vu. On top of that the original receptionist said cleaning was provided and my kid did not get that. 2nd receptionist said that cleaning was not. Both of me and my husband did not misheard it the first time. Thats one of the reason why we pick this in the first place. His regular dentist finally came back from vacation and we took our kid there for 2nd opinion. Wowww this place misdiagnosed his teeth. He did not need 3 crowns. 2 crowns will be needed at a later date but the 3rd teeth was misdiagnosed. Dentist never even touch each individual teeth and thought the one with the uv sdf stain was a bad teeth. Sloppy, unprofessional and would have caused my son to lose a perfectly good teeth. Should have known this place was bad as even the address is incorrect on here. Its not East South st guys. Just South st. We let at least 2 ppl know from this dental office to change and it's still not change from here. Smh all around! With care this bad, I should have gotten my money back ughh. Don't waste ur time. So I haven't had any dental work done yet however, I will say that I've been going to a different dentist for quite some time. It's the first time I've been here and I told one of the nurses Bernice I was scared, and she made it such a pleasant experience. She was very kind with me explained everything she took things. Slow answered any questions I had and made me feel extremely comfortable. The doctor also is very informed to give you several different types of options and everybody seems caring. It was a clean and nice office. My appointment was at 4 o'clock and I got took in about 10 minutes before I had a awesome experience here. I truly don't know how they have bad reviews. Awesome experience for my two year old who is terrified of the dentist normally. Stacy the receptionist was great and always made us feel welcomed from the second we came in to all the phone calls and explained everything super well. My daughter had to get 4 crowns and 4 fillings and went under anesthesia which was terrifying to me but they calmed all my fears and worries and the entire experience from her going in to us leaving went super smooth. They try to scam you out of your money. My wife who got invisalign there and her mouth is kind of sore as expected. Their dentist suggested using antibiotics at $120 per tooth to help it. Wtf? Since when does antibiotics help with soreness? My wife doesn't know much about health and science so she paid it not knowing she is being scammed. Stay away from this place. People get frustrated sometimes. We honestly waited for 3hrs but everything went smoothly. From the moment I walked in, the staff once again was warm, professional, and incredibly reassuring. The dentist explained every step of the procedure clearly, answered all my questions, and made sure I was comfortable the whole time. Both root canal itself was virtually painless, and the care and precision the dentist showed were outstanding. I also had other work done with two other dentists that day, they was great as well. If you come here make sure to set aside at least 2 hrs!!! We were even in a room, I could see the dentist pacing back and forth. I thought she was waiting for a nurse to do notes. Nope, eventually she came in and spent about 2 minutes with my son and walked out. Wanting to do this and that. I declined because I know what my son has had done and doesn't need more. These people are like bad mechanics. If you are not careful, they will screw you and your insurance. X-rays EVERY 6 months?? Even insurance is denying it now. Never had this problem with other dentists. Today's visit might only take 1.5 hrs of my day but our last visit (6 months ago) was over 2 hrs!!! I have 3 policies and still I get billed over and over. I call and their office tells me to worry not about it. I'm sure They would just prefer i pay out of pocket but since I dispute they tell me to disregard the notice.
