Our original dentist who my kids were close with moved out of state and we had to find another Pediatric dentistry. I came across beach kids and explained that my children have not had the best experiences with dentists outside of our last dentist. They assured me that they would be understanding and accommodating. Unfortunately that has not been our experience with this practice. There has been multiple occasions where they went in for a check up or a filling and felt like the dentists were being rude or judgmental or not understanding to our children's situations. There was one occasion where my son was trying to get some cavities filled, but kept gagging on their mouth insert that they were trying to use. Instead of trying to comfort him or allow him to calm down they continued to try that method to the point that he was sobbing and uncomfortable. Because of that, they were unable to fill his cavities and ever since then have kept asking us to get him sedated, which we are not comfortable with. I would also like to add that the dental hygienist there have been very pleasant to deal with but my experience with the dentists have been so poor that I can no longer bring my children to this practice. My famaly's experience is our own and other people might have different experiences, but I hope that this review can help families make a better decision at which practice to go to.

The staff here at THIS LOCATION are absolutely amazing (not all offices are the same, trust me). Dr. Rosenblum took care of an emergency situation for my daughter during our first spring break here and after he made her feel so comfortable, my daughter insisted that he continue to be her dentist. Dr. Wright is now our orthodontist and she was so patient and thorough through that process. I recommend that if you're looking for a pediatric dentist's office that can also accommodate orthodontics, then this is DEFINITELY your place!

We were a little early for our appointment but were taken to the back right away. they have TV, magazines and a few toys in the lobby if you do have to wait. The dental assistant that cleaned my sons teeth was wonderful. She explained to him step by step what she was doing and was very gently with him. Since he's only 3 he is a bit apprehensive to lay back in the chair and have anything done in his mouth but he was made to feel very comfortable. Once she was done and we were waiting for the dentist they have a large variety of books the kids can engage in. He loves their animal book which lists hundreds of animals from around the world. Once Dr Levin came he gave him a very quick examination and gave him a clean bill of health. One thing that stood out to me that is why I will remain a patient here is Dr Levin's response to my son complaining of tooth pain. When he examined his mouth he said he didn't see anything but If my son kept complaining to bring him back at no charge. That shows that he really cares about his patients and its not all about the money.

The staff at Eastern Virginia Pediatric Dentistry is very experienced with children with special needs; they are comfortable with the noisy, fidgety, antsy ones and even the baby sharks. Dr Morgan and her staff have been overseeing my child's dental care for the past two years. The environment is so positive. All the staff I've encountered have been so friendly and encouraging, even those who haven't even attended to my child. Today we saw Luis for the first time. He made sure my son was comfortable and took his time, although we had arrived pretty late. (Sorry) Luis is bilingual and has good energy, this visit felt like visiting an old friend. He went over and above to move my heavy child back into his stoller when we were finished. I highly recommend. Dr Morgan is so pleasant and down to earth. She is qualified to do oral surgeries at CHKD if necessary. (We had a great experience with her at CHKD, a couple of years ago.) Usually, at most dentistries we have been to, the dentist rushes in for a moment and zips back out before you can blink, but not Dr Morgan. She attentively entertains your questions and gives honest feedback without staring at the clock. We continue to look forward to the next visit with her. I tell the staff every visit, I wish they accepted adults as patients because they are so good with kids. Even if we were to move further away, going to this dentistry would be worth the traveling distance. It's such a treasure to have found this place. I also like that the office is very clean and tidy. The dental hygienists that I've experienced have always been very friendly and ask all of the essential questions before starting the process. For a simple cleaning, they do a very thorough job at checking each tooth for issues before starting the cleaning process and the whole process never takes longer than 30 minutes for me. You can tell that Dr. Boylan is very passionate about his work and the dental health of his patients and it shows. The front desk staff was welcoming right away and even thanked me for completing my forms ahead of time, which was a nice touch. The dental assistant who took my X-rays (I'm assuming that's what it's called) came out to get me and was super kind and easy to talk to. She explained everything as we went and made sure I was comfortable the whole time. After the imaging, Dr. Hernandez came in and went over everything they found. I honestly don't remember ever having a dentist be that thorough. He took his time, explained things clearly, and made sure I understood what was going on and had all my questions answered. This was just the first visit--they'll do the cleaning and anything else at a follow-up--but overall, everyone there was wonderful. It's hard for me to even say this, but I'm actually looking forward to going back. I told my youngest son and his wife (who are local and looking for a dentist), and they are eager to be seen by Dr. Hernandez and his staff!

This place was amazing!!!…read more Two days ago, I broke a tooth....I was in so much pain, I couldn't sleep or focus on anything. I then found out that dentists don't work fridays in Nkrth Carolina. So I went to google to find me a dentist. I called 20 or so dentists, that either didn't answer or said they couldn't help me. They answered, and sounded compassionate and since over the phone, and said get up here we will get you taken care of. I drove an hour and a half to get there, they quickly registered me and go me into a treatment chair. Dr. Zahir came in shortly there after and got me numbed up, and then went back to treating her current patient....thank god. They did not make me sit in a waiting room in pain, I actually started to doze off, since the pain was gone. Dr zahir came back and discussed my treatment options, and the she quickly managed my tooth. I am so thankful for her and her amazing staff. Will definitely recommend to everyone.

Horrible Office Management. I requested my sons records and waited the 30 days the office has to…read moreeither provide the records or give a written notice of a delay. After 30 days and not receiving my sons records the office Manager tried to make excuses regarding office policy as the reason I had not received my sons records. Office policy does not supersede HIPPA requirements. At first I was only able to recieve a few xrays which were also sent to a third party who was not included on my record request as an individual to recieve these records. The office Manager informed me that it was office policy that when records are requested to also send a copy of those records the the contact individual listed in their files, even if that individual is not the patient themselves. After significant back and forth with the Office Manager I finally received a small portion of my sons records but not the full file like i requested. Most of the files sent to me could not even be viewed. These files were sent to me at 5:00 on the dot when their office closes so I am forced to wait over the weekend in order to address the fact that I still have not recieved my sons records. I do not think the timing of that email is a coincidence. I have filed a complaint with HIPPA and have all the email correspondence and recordings of the phone calls with the office staff so that I have proof of the abysmal behavior of the individuals working at this office.
