They would not however I was so impressed by how professional his staff was I did not care and was happy to go out of network and pay cash out of my own pocket for what I thought would be superior care and service. His office staff actually made me feel like they cared about me as a patient during numerous phone conversations as his office accumulated my medical records for the doctor to review PRIOR to my visit. The doctor actually reviewed my records PRIOR to my visit to determine if he thought he could help me. Upon arrival I was greeted, my information confirmed and sitting in an exam room within moments and actually seeing the doctor at the time my appointment was for. No waiting around, he actually kept his appointment time, met with me, discussed my condition and did not have one foot out the door as he talked to me. WOW! He should teach other doctors how to care about patients as should his staff. 5 STARS all around

He will answer any questions and answer any and all questions. He cared for me while I was in the hospital as well as in his office and he is always a gentleman and is very thorough. If you are looking for a great pulmonologist, you can do no better than Dr. Matalkah!

Extremely disorganized office. First visit, doctor said or did nothing, just sent me for tests…read more Tests could not be completed for months between their extremely booked schedule, and then issues with the machine (needed to order a new part or something). Test had to be rescheduled again because a covid test is required before the other tests and the office ran out of them. I was also asked for thr results of my chest x ray. I never got one, because I was never told to get one. I got one, and the soonest available follow up appointment is nearly a month later. So I've now been going to this doctor for four months, I am still suffering from shortness of breath, spent hundreds of dollars, and I have yet to receive any sort of diagnosis or treatment. Also, the office staff does not follow recommended covid protocols and does not consistently wear masks when interacting with patients. There are small plastic dividers between the desk and patient area (which are certainly not airtight) and they're still handing you paperwork, etc., with no masks on. This place sucks and if I hadn't already invested so much money trying to get better here I would have taken my business elsewhere. Please heed my advice and find somewhere else.

Dr. Wardeh killed my father…read more Despite several pleas to decrease the high dose of Lasix prescribed by Dr. Wardeh that caused my father severe dehydration and kidney damage, the doctor refused to lower the dose. This high dose killed my father causing extreme electrolyte imbalance in addition to kidney damage and decreased blood volume - all warnings on the Lasix data sheet. My father was a small man in advanced age and was unable to tolerate the level of furosemide as prescribed. His body wasted away to skin and bones obviously caused by the Lasix. He was cared for at the Preakness Healthcare Center in Wayne, NJ. Dr. Wardeh should not be practicing medicine anywhere. He has poor instincts and defers to protocol instead of considering pertinent information provided by family members specific to the patient in making appropriate decisions.

They had time to clean up since it was not busy at all (no other patients except maybe two) and I saw staff sitting at their computers. I was waiting roughly 40 minutes (which is fine I get it) but Idk why they left vomit dried out (vomit can contain bloodborne pathogens like HIV or Hepatitis and infectious viruses like norovirus) for other young patients to touch and come in contact and get sick from. Even WITH an appointment I waited at least two hours with my 11…read moremonth old sick baby. my son came here with a fever coughing, and wheezing and they said he had a virus and to use over the counter meds. The doctor was nice but she examined him for maybe 3 minutes if that. I understand having a lot of patients and being understaffed but dont continue to take more appointments if you don't have enough practitioners to care for sick children and babies. Two days later he was admitted to the emergency room where he stayed for 3 days extremely sick with an upper respiratory virus similar to RSV. Will not be coming back. Could have been avoided if they had provided him with better care and taken his symptoms more seriously.
