We planned to visit today, we were not aware our daughter was in for a special treat. DINOSAUR EVENT 12-4 PM FREE ADMISSION for all Free sno cones. $2 popcorn. Face painting, bubbles, balloons, games, bounce house, water sprayers, foam bath, food trucks, Solano Public Library book mobile and more. Live music with DJ playing tunes for all. The empty parking lot when we arrived right before noon was now packed with cars double parking and driving around. Sounds of kids playing, exploring together was welcoming. The teapot is refreshing. The spout lets out a mist of cool water when the button is pushed the detached blue station directly in front. The dancing sprinkler play stations accompanied by the foam bath was fun for the big and little, part of the Dinosaur Event. The various activities for the Dinosaur Event, spread throughout the day, kept the littles engaged. What a great event and time had! Our little lasted the entirety of the event time 12-4p ending it with a bag of popcorn and an ice cream from the truck. read more

Granddaughter loved her time here. I have not ever been here for as long as I have lived in town. What a nice hidden gem for the kids. The entrance is like walking through a castle to a whole new world gated inside. It was clean, grassy, huge and open spaces with different areas to play for the kids. There are benches and picnic tables everywhere too. They also have restrooms on site too. Lots of grassy and shady areas to hang out as well. Our grandbaby had a great time running everywhere to her hearts content and she cannot wait to go back again with her parents. read more

And the best park award goes to...Children's Wonderland Park! From uniqueness of play structures -- to cleanliness and space -- this park easily takes the cake among others I've been to. And I do not say that lightly. As soon as you enter through the castle doors, you are transported into a mini Disneyland found in Vallejo, CA. As someone who was raised in this city, I did not expect this. This park truly Wow'd me for several reasons. One, the uniqueness of the play structures. There's a handful of them including a tea cup/ tea pot area, train station and train, pirate ship, pumpkin carriage and more. Our personal favorite; the tea cup with the connected slide, so fun!! My family and I easily spent two hours here. You can also book some spots for parties. I highly recommend checking out the GVRD's website. Theres shaded gazebos and many picnic tables. They even have story time and other events here. Theres a parking lot available and hours as well. They are closed on Tuesdays. 100 out of 10 recommend this park. read more

Cute place to take the kids. Basically a park with 4 playgrounds. As a non-Vallejo resident paying $22 for the 4 of us felt steep but whatever. My kids loved the Dino sand area and honestly so did I. But I wasn't prepared for the water and muddy sand. There's a train play area and then a ship one as well a large generic playground and some additional smaller attractions. Younger kids could easily spend a couple hours playing here. read more

Honestly I didn't go in the park even tho it looked really cool. I just found it absolutely ridiculous to charge to get in especially in this day & age where people are seriously financially struggling. I'm currently unemployed & wanted to take my little one to do something fun & free so I packed some snacks & headed there only to find that it costs. While it is a nominal fee, I literally can't spare it at this point. As cool as the park looks, it looks like it needs to be free. There aren't rides or food or anything so....Im confused about the fee. read more

This is such a cute fun outdoor playground for kids. It has several different set up's for little ones to play and explore. It's also completely gated so kids can run around freely. My favorite was the teapot that had "steam" come out of the spout. So cute! read more

This is truly a hidden gem for young children in Vallejo! With sprawling grass and a diverse set of play areas over more than an acre in a quiet Vallejo neighborhood, it's a toddler and supervising caregivers dream! It's has traditional park play structures along with story rhyme, sand/water, and nautical themed play areas. This place is huge and has only one entrance/exit so it gives peace of mind for caregivers to let your child roam with less concerns than typical public parks. You also should leave your puppy at home (I love dogs, btw) so it's nice not to have to navigate poop mines and potentially awkward child/dog interactions. I've been taking my grandson here since he learned to walk. As he's grown to three now, it's lovely how he can enjoy more parts of the park and take more risks to challenge his motor coordination. This park's friendly staff decorates for Christmas, Easter, and Halloween and I think it would be a lovely place to host a party for young children and families. I'm really happy I found this local gem of a park. I have a toddler and am always on the lookout for parks/play areas. This is by far one of the coolest parks we visited. The grounds are very well maintained and all of the special features are fun to explore--the train, Cinderellas's carriage, Dino Land, and more. I didn't realize there was a $3 admissions fee ($5 is you're a non-vallejo resident) but this minimal fee is totally worth it. Next time we're coming back on one of the Thursday evenings when they have food trucks! read more

This place was such a fun playground for kids! My kids absolutely loved this playground. I love that each area had a theme. There was the train station and hotel area, the teapot area, the sand and dinosaur area, Cinderella's carriage, and the City area with airplanes, vehicles, boats, etc. We played in every section of the playground and the kids did not want to leave! There were different areas with picnic tables, all the shaded areas were taken by parties (we came on a Saturday). My only complaint is the women's bathroom ran out of toilet paper in the stall I went to. And I wish there were more shaded areas. And why does it close at 4pm? That seems really early, it isn't even dark yet. read more

Amazing park! My entire 30 something years of living in Vallejo I never visited here until recently. My boys loved Dinosaur Land where you can dig for fossils and play in sand and climb a huge dinosaur. They also enjoyed the huge kettle that sprays water from the spout when you press a button. I was amused myself by it! I appreciated the lush, green grass and tall trees for shade because it was a pretty hot day. My 5 year old loved the tire swing and play ground with the airplanes and play tents. This park is a gem in Vallejo. It could use a little bit of cleaning up of trash. I had to keep a close eye on my one year old because he was trying to pick up some pierces of trash. I love how their is a little snack shop at the entrance offering ice cream, chips and candy! read more

What an amazing play space for kiddoes! This was a halfway meet up spot between the East Bay and Napa for my friend and I and our kids had a blast. Age ranging from 2-5. I believe there's a $4 fee if you're a non Vallejo resident as they asked for my zip code but since I came right when it opened they didn't charge us. So nice of them! It's huge! Climbing structure, tea pot slide, train (non moving) area, a ship. Clean bathrooms. And totally fenced and enclosed. Parking was easy too. I saw someone setting up for a birthday party in the covered table areas. They also sell snacks! Definitely will be coming back if I'm in the area. read more

The newer structures to the right nicely designed. Loved the open green grass that was well maintained. The older part to the left, the teacup, the train, the swings ( 1 safety harness was broken ), the dinosaur all very cool, and again the grass was clean and maintained.. but, being charged as a non resident I expected the sandpit where the dinosaur and the fossils that were buried in the sand to be clean! There were weeds in the sand around the edges of the pit.. the picnic tables and surrounding area had garbage, the restrooms both male and female were disgusting with no toilet paper. Our is the 2 female toilets, one was functional. The young people that were employees quite friendly, when told about my observations were clearly not trained in service recovery.. the response was "oh ok". It would have great to have one of them offer to check things out and offer a solution.. I know this park has a long history in this community. Vallejo I believe gets a bad wrap, there is so much to this city that no one gets..it suffers from poor management, not enough funding for basics.. care of parks is one area that perhaps not a priority. It seems a real shame for this park, reportedly voted one of the best experiences in could have in Solano county, to be represented this way. I will go back, because of the potential and the history, and I do not mind paying the non resident fee, after all it's worth it, my grandkids enjoyed themselves, and after all it was about them, and overall it was a good experience. My grands saw me pick up some of the garbage because i could not stand it. My 4 year old grand asked why.. I said it was the right thing to do for the everyone to have a beautiful park. This is not the same Wonderland from my childhood, and I can't decide whether that's a good thing or a bad thing. I have major nostalgia for the Wonderland of the early 90s, but even years before it closed I knew its luster was no longer there (getting old, dirty, etc) Today, however, the park is clean, fresh, up-to-date, and still a great place for kids. My toddler had lots of fun today, especially at the train. We went during the 9:00 timeslot, and there was only one other family there. It was very easy to stay socially distant. It's nice to have a CLEAN and taken-care-of park in vallejo, even though you have to pay for it here. You can find nicer free parks elsewhere, but it was actually great to being my son. Lots of grassy areas and picnic areas. I definitely miss the pond area with the pirate ship from my childhood, but the new park is great. read more

This is the first time that we went after the lockdown. We went here before like 4 years ago. They got rid of the Firetruck which was my son's favorite but it is still a very good playground to visit especially if you have tiny runners. It has a gated fence which makes it safe and secure. Best park ever! If I lived in the area I would go here daily. It literally is my new favorite park. We went here on a Friday late morning and there were only 2 other families there for this huge enclosed play area! It really felt like we had the whole park to ourselves. It's $4 admission per person over 2 years old and free for Vallejo residents. Parking is free and ample and there are multiple different theme play structures. Needless to say a 1 hour park playtime turned into 3 hours as my kids didn't want to leave. There was just so much to do an each area was so engaging. It also wasn't very crowded which is a huge plus. There are also water fountains, restrooms, and hand sanitizers everywhere. Though it's a very far drive, we are totally down to go back again. What a lovely park for kids! Best of all it's free for Vallejo residents. The park is themed around Alice in Wonderland and other children's films/stories. It includes all kinds of things to climb upon, swings, slides, and more. We took an 11 year old and 8 year old and they loved it playing there nonstop for 2 1/2 hours. Bring a picnic lunch. You can buy ice cream and ice pop products at the gate for a treat. The park is wonderfully clean, all the equipment appears to be in great shape. A wonderful place to relax with your kids. Well worth the $2 entry fee! There's so much space and so many different play structures it kept our kids busy for 2 hrs. Don't expect anything high tech - and that's the joy of it. Great sand pit with toys, tea cups, fire engine, massive play structure, giant checkers board, and plenty of picnic tables in the shade. There are tall and short slides, cups that go around, a train for climbing in and sitting in and so much more. There is also a small bathroom in the park. This park is so much fun and has a lot to offer for children of all ages. I love taking my son here by ourselves or to have play dates. I love seeing him run around through all the different themed play structures. I've attended many parties here as well and if my sons birthday wasn't in winter, i would love to have a party for him there as well. I went for the first time today because everyone I knew kept raving about it and I wanted to see if it lived up to all the hype! I wasn't disappointed!! I saw earlier in a review that they don't accept cards which has changed they now accept cards ! I came from Fairfield and it was well worth the drive my son loved the teacup slide and the canoe . They also have this GIANT sandpit which my son kept playing in playing with all the shovels that they have we also put him on the swings! This place for a park has it all !!! Excellent playground. Our busy 4 year old had a blast on the train and LOVED the sand pits. I never recommend going to Vallejo, but this place is worth it! The $3 entrance fee is nothing compared to the peace of mind you will have knowing that your child is safe and has ample space to play. No kid will be bored here, even I wanted to play! I used to come here when I was a kid and today I got to bring my granddaughter! The park has definitely changed but it was totally fun. We were there for one and a half hours and she didn't want to leave. They have a big sandbox with a dinosaur in the middle and lots of sand toys. The big teapot is still there and steam actually comes out. Love taking my toddler here! Only problem is getting him to leave..... he never wants to! Love that this park is well tended to- very clean, with plenty of grassy open space for the little ones to run around in. Play structures are whimsical and unique. My soon to be 3 year old loves the big fire truck and choo-choo train. I believe they will be undergoing a renovation soon so it will be interesting to see what will be incorporated. read more

The kids were asking to go to the park that day. First, we went to the Frog park, but they did not like it and would like to go to a "fun" park. I searched through Yelp and saw this place. It is a pretty cool place for children. Lots of things to do. It is not crowded, there were only few kids that was there when we went on a Saturday afternoon. The place is clean and the staff wears mask. The only reason why I only gave this place 4 stars is because when we were going out, the staff were talking to each other and did not even say "thank you for coming or have a nice day!" They continued talking like no one came out of the place. I even said "Thank you!" and received no reply from the 4 staffs that was there talking. Even the kids commented "they did not say thank you mom!" I thought that was rude of them. It was 4:00 and it was there closing time, but I guess they were not happy they were closing. Who knows?! Overall, it is a good place to take the kids, but the staff needs to polish up their customer service. read more
