This is probably my favorite dog park in the Solano County area. For a regular people park it's great too! Lots of paved paths for walking. Baseball fields. A skate park. Exercise equipment. A large field for soccer games. Lots of parking. Restrooms and water fountains. Play structures for children. I considered buying a house in this area partially for this park. The dog park is separated into two areas which are not connected. The small dog park is very flat and down some steps or a slope from the restroom picnic area. The large dog park is to the left and goes on a hill. The large dog park has two paved paths. One is like a switch back. The other goes straight up the hill. There's water fountains for the dogs at both the top and bottom of the park. There are also two double gated entrances. The park has some agility structures at the top of the hill, some metal benches throughout, waste bags and trash bins. The landscaping is mostly dirt/bark. There are plenty of trees in the park so the dogs to sniff. It's a great park for the sniffari type of dogs. It's also quite large! It's great for getting your steps in to walk up and down the paths. Most of the people I've met there have been great. On one occasion I have seen a dog walker bringing in 10+ dogs at once... The only words of caution I have would be to dress for the wind and in the summer I have witnessed a snake in the dog park. read more

Cordelia community Park is the hidden gym of Fairfield parks! This park has : 3 CTVLL baseball fields, 1 rec baseball field, free open lawn space for soccer, volleyball, golf, workout equipment along the trails, two parks with multiple activities for kids of all ages, multiple picnic and reservation areas for parties with covered patios, barbecue pits and grills, bocce ball courts, 2 ENCLOSED dog parks for small vs large, ample parking , super clean bathrooms (for rec parks), tennis courts, basketball courts, And a skate park! The only downside is no matter what because of the location expect high winds at almost all times of the year and day. One of the greatest things I love about this park and I hope to preserve is how clean it is . Rarely as their trash scattered and almost always the parties pick up after themselves where they can meaning they put their stuff and bag it up and put it in the trash or take it out to the dumpsters. This matters when you have a community space ! there's also bulletin boards throughout that show when the parks are reserved for events or when the tables have reservations for parties. (to book reservations or parties you do it directly through the Fairfield rec and parks website.) Last but not least they have a shared book library . We love this park, it's big, lots of things to do, we love walking around here, barbeque pits, pinic tables...large grass area, big dog park for dog owners, volleyball, basketball courts, football field..... Can't forget that one time we went here and there is a football match, and Mexican food sellers were there! selling Elote, mangonada, fruit cups....It was the best! I didn't realize I'd not yet reviewed this park before as I should have. We actually discovered this park via Yelp a few years ago. With my daughter & grandkids living in Sacramento and me in Sonoma County we were looking for a great (halfway) meeting spot. This park has so much to offer and is quite expansive. If you've not been there before, be sure to check out the different levels as each has something different. There also are two dog parks - one for the smaller dogs & one for bigger dogs which I think is smart. The park offers walking & bike path/trails. Lots & lots of lawn space for picnics as well as covered picnic areas. My grandkids love coming here whenever I need to meet my daughter to take them back home or vice-a-versa. The one and only negative (which cannot be helped) is that it can get quite windy here. Check the forecast for this area if planning an outing here. read more

This is a review of the dog park**Not an ADA-accessible part of the park.*** Went to the large dog park. It's completely fenced and practically immaculate. Sure someone just *had* to not pick up their poop even though there are bag, trash can stations literally everywhere in this dog park. There is water for the dogs as well. Landscape: a longish hillside about 400 yards long and maybe 50 yards wide with bark and trees=no sand or grass. It's x-crossed by a wide concrete path in switchbacks. There's also another wide concrete path along one side. Both are too steep for wheelchairs which is why I am not giving this 5 stars. This is great for dogs. Note that it is surrounded by big rolling hills and you should be careful at dawn and dusk because of coyotes. read more

Went to the small dog portion of the park and walked around the other parts of the park. I have to say that I am my wife and kids were very impressed with a Park. Lots of grass lots of place to play. Lots of little parks for different ages. Well-maintained, I feel my tax dollars were well used here. The small dog park was excellent and my little beagle had a great time playing with the other dogs. We looked at the large dog park and can't wait to bring my German Shepherd as I think she would have a wonderful time. There are spaces to reserve to have good picnics and barbecues, and I will definitely's saw and smelled some wonderful barbecue going on. Go Fairfield! read more

My cousin lives in Sacramento. Most of his family and friends live in San Francisco. When it came time for his baby shower, he decided to have it here, at Cordelia Community Park. (Apparently it's a half way point?) I got here on Saturday, June 1st around 2pm. They had grabbed a bunch of tables at the back right side of the park, so it was a little hard to find as I parked in the main parking lot out front. (There's a much closer lot in the back.) It wasn't that big of a deal as the park isn't super large, so it was totally walkable. Not sure if they showed up early to get the tables or they reserved them ahead of time, but we had a fair amount of tables and space. Probable two thirds of that area. There were plenty of picnic tables, a bbq grill, etc. It is good to note, it was quite windy that day, so it can get cold. Make sure to bring a jacket just in case. The park itself had a baseball field, other picnic areas, and I think even an inside space? I just remember seeing stairs towards something from the main parking lot. A very chill park to throw a low key bbq or kid party. A nice outdoor space to do a kid oriented celebration. read more

I was recommended to go to this park by a couple fellow dog owners to help socialize my pup. Once I arrived, I understood why. This is a huge park and was well thought out. It contains 2 dog parks for smaller breeds and shy/older dogs and a larger breed dog park. It also has a hiking/biking trail, tennis courts and basketball courts as well as a baseball field and 2 open fields for random miscellaneous activities. I brought my dog in to play where the gates are high and secure. The large dog park has a drinking fountain area upon entering and also on the upper level to ensure your dog stays hydrated. There are also doggy bag stations and trash areas throughout the large dog park so you can pick up your dog's poop. Benches are placed everywhere and along a small pathway that leads you to the upper level of the park. The small dog park is flat and clean and has the same necessities as the large dog park as well. I happened upon the small dog park because I didn't realize that it was significantly separated from the large dog park. So if you enter the community park and turn right (look for the sign that says 'Dog park", using the bathrooms (on the far right side of the park) as a landmark, large dog park is on the left where you'll go up a pathway... follow the barking. The small dog park is on the right of the bathrooms. Follow the pathway down the stairs. Overall, dog owners are friendly as are the dogs which is why I prefer bringing my boy here. The open fields outside the dog parks are great for playing fetch as well as long as your dog is behaved off leash. read more

This is a HUGE park! It has a lot of activities: tennis courts, basket ball courts, skate park, a park for kids, two parks for doggos, a volley ball pit, I believe they have horse shoe, baseball fields, and a little golf grassy area to practice your short game. I live near by and it's awesome seeing many people come by and keep it in good shape, there's rarely any trash and there's no homeless people around (not to bag on San Francisco public parks). It can get really windy up at the park in the afternoon, so I suggest bringing a jacket. I like coming here when the sun is setting, having an afternoon stroll after dinner to help digest. It's really nice. There's also some work out equipment there that shows you how to stretch and they provide exercise activities on the equipment as well. I love knowing that it's nearby and I can visit whenever. I'm thinking about getting some tennis rackets to play on the tennis courts since it's right there for convenience! read more

Omg. This is one of the largest and most well-maintained parks I've been to in the area. They even have benches by one of the parking lots that have a roof over them, which turned out to be very convenient as it started to rain when we got there. The dog park is large too. I feel that this is maybe a well-kept secret in Fairfield since I didn't see too may people when I got there. But maybe that's a good thing? lol read more

My doggos absolutely love the dog parks here (one for small and the other for large pets). Both areas have covered seating areas, sturdy fencing, fresh water for pups and great views of the surrounding hills. Every once in a while the cows will graze within feet of the big dog park which is quite a site to see. Everyone is very neighborly and kind, my youngest pup always has a blast with the other dogs when we bring him. Will continue coming to this spot for years to come! read more

LOVE this dog park! My girl is considered large and big dog area is pretty big. It's like a mini obstacle course for her. There's always doggie bags (though I always carry my own), the park is clean, friendly dogs/owners, benches all around, 2 drinking area, 2 entrances and exits. All and all this park's layout is nice, pretty, and I haven't had any complaints from my girl. Though I have encountered issues in the small dog area. My friend's yorkie got bitten by one of the other dogs and the owner didn't care to do anything. Also the people here were extremely rude, when I was about to enter in this lady rushed over and asked me if my dog was under 25lbs (i mean was she going to whip out a scale or something) when she obvious knew my dog wasn't. And when i told her the sign said "or shy dogs" are ok too, she just gave me an attitude and said "that thing is shy?!" like my dog was some aggressive, untrained, dog eating beast. Also once i left to go back to the big dog area she had the nerve to shout out "ok you guys can go back to playing, the big dog left already". Another thing was we found 2 ticks on the yorkie when we were putting the dogs in the car. I totally recommend this dog park, just avoid the crazy small dog area. I mean I've never heard anyone tell me that small dog that comes along with me isn't allowed int he big area. read more

We love taking our dog to this dog park in Cordelia! Not only is the dog park well-maintained, but the surrounding area is gorgeous with calming views. We've only encountered great dogs and dog owners. Sure, there are a few skirmishes here and there but that's going to happen. Everyone takes responsibility for their dog and moves them on to another activity. There is a lower and upper portion of the dog park. Our dog loves chasing her ball up the terraces in the lower park as well as the long runs in the upper park. There are exits at each level. From the upper dog park, you can take a nice walk along the paths which eventually lead you down to the green fields down below. Dogs are welcome in any area of this community park. There is also a small dog park on the opposite side of the pavilion. We appreciate being close enough to take our dog frequently. Many kudos to the community that supports the maintenance! read more

Today was our first day visiting the dog park, looked awesome only spent around 3 minutes in the dog park until I got ATTACKED by 150 pound BLACK SHEPARD named TALA with an older man as the owner. The dog was attacking my dog so I picked him up and the big dog jumped on me and bit my shoulder ripping the skin and drew blood. Also bit my ear and ripped my earrings out and biting my hip leaving big bite marks, I am badly bruised. We tried getting information from the man and he REFUSED we followed him to his car and still nothing. I have called the cops and animal control. Just posting this for people to BE AWARE of a big 150 pound black Shepard with an Caucasian male In his 60s 6 foot tall and gray hair. HE did not apologize or even acknowledge the fact that I was screaming and crying. read more

We were under mandatory evacuation due to a fire and were staying in town with our dogs. The park was AMAZING! Clean with over hangs and multiple water spouts for the dogs. The group of people there were super nice and out dogs were so happy to be able to finally run around again. read more

I decided to finally give this dog park a try. It's located at a beautifully landscaped park/playground/baseball area. They have a large dog section (25+ lbs) and small dog section. It's a huge space with an incline to the upper dog park with a small patch of grass. There are tons of new trees and logs for the pups to jump over. I didn't particularly care for the rock "trail" that they have but we just used the paved "trail" to get to the top. We went on a weekday when it wasn't busy. It was just 5 month old Roxy and me in the park until a very annoying woman came in talking on her cell phone with her 10-15lb dog. Roxy went up to her dog and started wagging her tail and barking to play when she said "can you get your dog to stop barking?", "oh Cathy I'm sorry this annoying dog won't stop barking". I wanted to say, THIS IS A DOG PARK, HOW ABOUT YOU GET OFF YOUR CELL PHONE AND GO HOME (or at least go to the small park where you belong)! However I didn't. I collected Roxy and left. As I was sitting in my car, I saw a couple with an 8 month old lab and asked if they were going in. I explained what happened and let's just say we took back the large dog park with our loud barking puppies (and the dumb woman left)! Roxy had a great time with Kirby (the lab) and Bailey (the beagle)! Definitely a negative experience turned positive. read more

Found this park because of my daughter, but I love it now. I have to excise for 30 mins so we did my walk for 30 minutes and while excising located the area for her. Kids loves kids so she made friends easily. We found excise machines too. Dog area, tennis area , miniature golf area, and kids area can't go wrong. read more

Be ware of tick infested grass! I used to love this park but I was there a couple weeks ago and decided to lay on the grass with my dog and husband when we found a tick crawling on my shirt!! We checked our selves before we got in the car there were THREE IN MY HAIR, another on mine and my husbands shirt and about three-four more on my dog! read more

Great place to take the kids! We've had Skylar's birthday here each of the last two years. The park design is nice, with baseball and soccer fields, a skate park, dog park, horseshoe and bocce courts, and two play areas for kids. The only reason I didn't give it a perfect score is because the Cordelia wind can be a problem at times (we live here and are used to it, but visitors might not enjoy it so much). My review is solely based on the large dog park, as that's where I spend more of my time. Other than Toad Hollow dog park in Davis, this is my ultimate fav. This park is CLEAN, and provides poop bag stations throughout and large anchored water bowls with great pressure from the water hoses. I get my exercise in and so does my dog. There's a walk way that goes straight up and also a nice zig-zag walkway that you can choose from. The walkway keeps going and going as you progress on an incline and at the top, theres even MORE dog park. It's a HUGE place! I like that my dog can jump on large cement obstacles, tree stumps, over logs etc. Theres also plenty of lizards, some dogs come just for that hunting thrill. I'll def be back to return as the people here are also very friendly. We have play dates all the time. read more

Wow. This is probably the best dog park I've been to( and I've been to a lot). Just when you think it ends, there is more park. My two standard poodles had an amazing time. The only downfall of the park, is that because its so big, there is a lot of poop that owners miss. We spent about 45 min at the park and my dogs were exhausted!! read more

I travel all over central CA with my dogs and have visited many dog parks. This one is so nice i sent an email to the city congratulating them. It's large and clean and well designed. The small and large dog parks are a considerable distance apart and I only went to the large dog park. The people are chill and the views are great overlooking the delta and the hills that were green after the rain. My dog ran and and ran and ran and he loved the place. I like the fact that the ground is paved and there is no gravel, fake grass or large dirt areas. There is a small walk up the hill to get to the large park from the parking lot. It's a great park, close to the freeway, clean and chill. I will be back in town in a couple of months and already plan on going back. It was such a nice place that I took my dog there twice in one day! read more
