Bang bang shrimp, Chili lime steak and Philly Cheese Steak tacos. Amazing!
    Jason K.

My wife and I were on our weekly "Try a new place for lunch trek" and we saw this truck we had been wanting to try was by Bald Man Brewing, a taproom in Eagan, south of The Cities that we have not tried. I ordered the Bang bang shrimp taco, a chili lime steak, and a Philly chease steak taco. They were all amazing. The flash fry on the shrimp taco was probably my favorite. The silly American cheese sauce cheese from the Philly was a nice touch to moisten things up. A small complaint is that the chili lime steak was a little dry, but very good. They were all really really good though! $11 for 3 tacos, pretty reasonable and we brought the tacos into the Bald Man Taproom to enjoy with an IPA. Great lunch!

Employee is super rude, we went to Bad Weather brewing and before we could even look at the menu the employee made a rude remark by saying "had to come at the last minute huh" ... then continued to berate us about how there's 40 minutes left and we need to get it together and order. Honestly, the most blatantly disrespectful food service employee I've ever come across and I work in a restaurant! I wonder how the owner would feel about it if they knew their employee was turning down service with their horrible attitude. If you want to stop service and pack it up, THEN CLOSE.

Damn good tacos. Affordable and fast too. Steak, pork, chicken, and shrimp tacos, with tater tots and elote available as sides.

Over priced for the quality and quantity of food, shrimp taco's are the store bought jumbo scrimp put into a tortilla, all cheaply made!!

Amazing tacos, quick and delicious. You can order online too so you don't have to stand out int he cold. The bang-bang sauce is awesome.

Really good unique shrimp tacos and I guess they butcher all the meat and make all the sauces and everything from scratch

We started with cheese curds. Loved that they were batter fried and not breaded. Very tasty and a huge app portion. My entree was the pulled pork sandwich with bbq beans. Everything was very good. Pork had a savory flavor and it was nice and tender. Portions were large. Topped it all off with a Hazy Little Thing beer. Great service. Easy parking. Just off a major road. Great stop.

He told me back then that someday we needed to check out J&J's. We love small business, local, non-chain restaurants. I decided to surprise my husband and take him to J&J's for Father's Day. We are empty nesters, so it was just the two of us for lunch. We arrived just after 12 p.m. There was a line out the door, which we expected since it was Father's Day and Sunday lunchtime. We were told it would be a 15-20 minute wait for a table, which we had no issue with. We ended up waiting less than 10 minutes because there was a table available on the patio. The weather was beautiful, and with summer being so short in Minnesota, we like to take advantage of it whenever we can. Our server came to our table shortly after we were seated, but it was long enough that we both had time to decide what we wanted before she arrived. I ordered the Texas Philly, and my husband had the brisket sandwich. We had to wait a while for our food, which we understood given how busy the restaurant was. Others around us were complaining about the wait, and those tables had a different server who was very apologetic about the kitchen being backed up. The hand-cut fries were piping hot and seasoned perfectly. It's so rare to go out to eat and get hot fries, let alone fries that are piping hot. That alone was worth the wait! My husband loved the brisket sandwich, and the Texas Philly was SO good--piled full of meat. We live in the south metro, but it was well worth the 30+ minute drive to get there. We'll definitely be back and will absolutely recommend J&J's to others!
