This review is about the Burritos. Born n Raised in L.A Cali its hard to find authentic Mexican food here. Authentic burritos do Not have cheese, sour cream, lettuce, tomatoes, that's Taco Bell. So, I place my order for a Asada burrito. asada, beans, rice, cilantro and onion. An authentic Mexican burrito. We get to the house and its looks like a decent size burrito. After the second bite I'm like nah WTH. As I'm saying this my teenager is asking is there any meat in my burrito. I open up the burrito and its ALL rice and and maybe enough meat for a taco. We both threw em in the trash! So basically, after not putting all the lettuce, cheese, etc they still wanted to make the burrito look "big" so they filled it up with all rice. Smh. Scratches the itch if you're really hankering for a burrito but there's many others I may prefer. The up charges for sauce are buts and it is a good value compared to some of the chains but the mess up take out orders semi often. Not sure how fresh the ingredients are he tortillas were a bit stale and shredded chicken slightly dry. Good enough for sure in a pinch but not the best. Eating inside would feel odd. read more

Went here with my niece. A very small restaurant.. they had just cleaned the floors and it was incredibly slippery when we walked around. I got the barbacoa birria combo and was a little disappointed. I know that by default it's a greasy meal, but I thought the grease overtook all other flavor and it was really hard to eat. Consume was very good and flavored well, came with really tender pieces of meat which I appreciated. Still just really greasy. My husband ordered steak tacos, and they were rather bland. We don't eat beans so they gave us extra rice, which is nice but it was just kind of dry and unflavored rice. We also ordered chips and queso. Queso was good but it was quick to congeal and I didn't love that. Chips are homemade, yasssss, but again just mad greasy. Like we never had enough napkins greasy. read more

I've found my new favorite taco joint. I got the taco al pastor, a churro, and horchata. All of it came out so quickly and was amazing. The taco meat was so flavorful. The churro contained some amazing cream inside that was enveloped in the crunchiest shell. And the horchata helped to cut the heat from that red salsa. Music inside was kind of loud, so plan to eat outside if you're eating with friends! I can't wait to try more on the menu! read more

I'm so excited to find a friendly neighborhood tacos place that is affordable and tasty! Brothers is a random, but also amazing find! I found this place through a simple google search for the nearest tacos place to satisfy my cravings and their prices are freaking amazing. $2.15/taco and even cheaper on Tuesdays? WIN! My fave taco place in MN is even at $2.59/taco, so you can't beat this. It is a small neighborhood restaurant with plenty of parking. I love how cozy and cute this place is the moment I walked in. They are all decked out for the holiday! I really don't know how to describe the vibe, but I really dig in. I always love local and smaller places, so I really appreciate that this place keep to their authentic self. I ordered 6 tacos online: 2 asadas, 2 al pastors, 1 lengua, and 1 chorizo. It came with lime and 2 kinds of salsa. They were SPICY, but great nonetheless. My favorite was definitely the al pastor. It was so flavorful and juicy. There was a generous amount of meat on each taco. I wish there was a bit more onion because I like them. I also enjoyed the other three tacos, but al pastor definitely stood out to me. Overall, great tacos and portion for the price! The only glitch is probably the online ordering. I placed my order online on their website so I could pick it up on my way from work. There was no confirmation email at first, so I was a bit worried that the order won't be fulfilled. They were working on the order when I came in and I didn't catch it until I got home, but I only got 4 out of the 6 tacos. This could have been because the online ordering system had a function where you can indicate how many of each kind of taco you want OR you just put each taco order in individually. I think they just got that mixed up somehow. Since it's a small restaurant, I didn't want to make that a big deal, but hopefully they can add some kind of confirmation email so orders can be more clear! I will definitely be coming back here since it's so close to where I live AND it's on the way back from work. I would love to sit in the restaurant next time since the vibe is lovely. This is another great spot near my work. Don't judge, but whenever I'm hungover I crave me some tacos or a hearty burrito. This felt much healthier than the cheap and nasty fast food fix. Small spot on the end of a strip of businesses. Most people order takeout. I sat inside, very modern sunny environment. Order at the counter, sit down, they bring it out. Then put your dishes on top of the garbage can when you leave. I got the Chimichanga with steak. It comes out looking like a masterpiece. Even the lady waiting for her takeout had to exclaim "wow that looks amazing". The tortilla was soft and wonderful, and I love when things are drenched in sauce! It was not soggy or unpleasant in any way. I would actually say it was light on flavor inside and a bit dry, but no more so than the meat at other popular places. The queso helps even it out a bit. This is small place just off of Silver Lake Road. It's easy to miss it but you should stop by and I will tell you that the size should not be under estimated. The food is actually pretty good and the fun part is that you make you own combinations of foods. What i mean is that you can choose the type you want (taco, quesadilla and more) then the filling (chicken, steak etc). We tried it out with a friend and I was impressed by the taste and portion size. It isn't a place I would recommend to stay at to eat. The way it's set up is more for grab and go. I was pleasantly surprised to see this little place pop up and made a note to try it as soon as I could. They have a number of specials and prices seemed more than fair. I ordered two authentic barbacoa tacos to go--these are street taco style with cilantro and onion; however, when I got home I opened my container and realized I was given American style tacos. I still ate them and enjoyed them, but the cheese, sour cream, and all that really does nothing for me. I like to be able to taste the meat. So, while I was disappointed that my order was wrong, I'd go back to try again. It's a really new place so perhaps still a little rough around the edges. Clean but sparse interior. I've studied abroad in Mexico and this is great authentic Mexican food! The best tacos al pastor that I've found in the Twin Cities. Nachos are phenomenal. The churros taste like Disney World in the best way possible. Chimichanga is massive and delicious. Enchiladas verdes with pollo tinga is great. Caution: orange and green salsas are FIRE. Not getting a 5th star because of unexpected inconsistency (churro flavors change without notice and sometimes the nachos have slightly different toppings). The birria tacos are not worth getting. Also, it's about $30-40 for two people so on the pricier end but I'm always full after! Always a solid purchase! read more

I went here for the first time today and it was AMAZING! I got three authentic tacos, barbacoa, carnitas, and chicken tinga. The meat was flavorful and juicy. With everything being take out right now, these held up very well on my drive home. The corn tortillas didn't tear and the tacos didn't fall apart. Wow, adios Chipotle but I've found a new, quick joint to satisfy my Mexican grub cravings. This unassuming but clean and friendly, counter service restaurant has tacos, burritos, bowls, quesadillas, fajitas, enchiladas and more along with a variety of protein options and veggie too! I got a beef tongue/lengua bowl to go and my husband ordered the lengua quesadilla and not only are the portions huge but it was so damn delicious. It was a delicious struggle to finish my bowl, rice, beans, and all. We can't complain about the friendly service either. I went to go pick up a order for a door dash customer. The guy who waited on me said someone had grabbed it was extremely rude to me. I went to my car called support they adked me to go back in and tell them to remake it and he refused to remake it and I had DoorDash customer service on the phone with me and she said she was gonna call the restaurant and have it resolved, and I had hung up with her and as I hung up with her, he got pissed off at me because I called support on them I told him I have no choice. I'm trying to run a business too and I'm not about to get deactivated. To me, I think he treated me this way because I'm white and not Mexican. it's uncalled for that is not how you run a business. if there was a button for no stars, I'd give this place no stars. read more

I would not recommend eating here. I found what I believe to be mold in the tortillas of the alambre I ordered. When I went to go return the food I had ordered they told me that sometimes the tortillas get that color when the fajitas in the food have been over cooked/scrambled "batidas" is what they referred to it as. New Brighton has been lacking a good taco place for a while, and I am so glad Brother's Taqueria joined the neighborhood! I drove past the restaurant with a friend and turned around when we saw a new taco place had moved in. Totally worth it. There was not a vegetarian taco on the menu, but they were quick to accommodate. The salsa verde that came with had a nice flavor but didn't have much spice. Definitely will check it out again and am looking forward to trying more of the menu items. I got a vegetarian taco, authentic style. My friend got the American style taco with chicken. read more

STOP!!!! There are many Mexican spots to choose from other than this spot. I am not saying don't give it a try, but you have been given fair advice. Twice tried, alas......... never again. First visit; asada tacos were meh, meat over cooked and not much flavor. The asada torta was also meh. On the drier side as well. The only reason we gave it a second try was that my wife disagreed with me and enjoyed the tacos. Second visit; HER, more tacos but this time she agreed, dry. HIM, nachos and two different tacos of the forgettable type. We shared a tamale which was pretty good.
