I' rather eat lunch at the the prison. I guarantee you the food is better (been there; done that, but the DOC reservation system really sucks), and the prison patrons are more polite, or, at least, not as loud . The service here is, well.. it's like self service to be honest, It only took 45 minutes to get an uneatable salad w/ spicy (you know , like you accidentally drank a whole bottle of Tabasco sauce) but with NO silverware,! But it wasn't too hard to wander around and find my own. The waitress was very friendly and attentive to every one else which helped some people who came in after us get served before we did. When I sent the salad back, they did ask if I wanted another, but since I promised my son we'd be home before dark, I declined. Paying the bill on their table top electronic system brought back fond memories of preparing my taxes. To be fair the beer was good. Hard to screw up beer. read more

Canon City's Chili's started at par, but it went down hill quick. The locals are desperate for a place for a sports type bar without losers staring at your wife and trying to fight everyone, so even a bar type place with bad food will gain good reviews if the rif-raf stays out. The food is mediocre at best and horrible at other times, just luck of the draw I guess. The food is "chain food" so not as fresh or unique in any way. Very boreing. *Good, for same old same old, not expecting much and At LEAST one complaint before you leave. *Bad, for anything but a burger. Steak/ wings/ Beer/ anything they want more than 5 bucks for is going to disapoint. Like I said the locals are desperate for something and will quit going when they get something. Much better meal today after a self imposed boycott of more than a year. Hubby had a turkey burger and fries, I had the chicken Mexican bowl. Both were very fresh and we'll prepared. It's not uncommon for me to eat at travels. I'm visiting Canyon City for the weeks and was pleased to see a Chili's walking distances from my hotel. I waited 15 minutes to glass a water at the bar. I waited another 10 minutes just get my order taken. Was debating about leaving to avoid waiting any longer. It took another 20 minutes for my dinner (cheeseburger). My least favorite experience at Chili's. read more

The Chili's in Canon City is very well run. The service is excellent, with friendly professional waitstaff and management. The food always good and comes out fast. Naturally because of this on a busy Friday night be prepared to wait for your table, but it is well worth the it. read more

Can't speak about the food or service, but I live behind Chilis and would appreciate the restaurant putting STOP signs coming out of their parking lot. I have had near misses on my way home on many (about 6) occasions. Customers come barreling out of the parking lot and don't bother stopping. For the traffic coming down from US50, it is dangerous. Chili's do the right thing and invest in a couple of STOP signs! BB read more

It usually isn't too busy here so you can usually get sat pretty fast, but it can sometimes take a while for the wait staff to come by to take your order. The food is typical Chili's food which means most of it is delicious. We've had a pretty good experience every time we have come. read more

I don't review chain restaurants as a general rule, but this location stands out. We had dinner 2 nights in a row while we watched the Tour de France in the bar, and they really do a nice job here. The bartender was friendly, highly skilled, and very attentive, and our food, tacos and a burger the first night, steaks and nachos the second, was all properly prepared and tasty. The locals are pleasant, and you really can't ask for much more in a chain restaurant. 4 stars for doing everything right, this place must have a heck of a manager. read more

Some of the worst management I have ever had to deal with, I called three weeks in advance to set up a reservation for a bachelorette dinner for a group of 20. The lady I talked to set it up no problem, then the day of I get a call saying they need to push MY reservation back. So I said no I made this almost a month ago I don't feel like that is right, she said it will be set up for same time AFTER I had to explain how wrong that is! I got a confirmation text saying it was all set up. My party an I arrive an they had us waiting at least 30minutes and the entire restaurant was full! No tables open so we ended up leaving an taking our service elsewhere! Horrible communication! Very unprofessional management. Disappointing. I will never be back nor will the group I had along with me. read more

I eat this Chili's at least twice a week and have been for the last 10 years. They always have great service and amazing staff. All it took was one bad experience on Wednesday night, September 5, 2018 with a female manager who brought my food out after my party and I waited over an hour and a half for our meal. I chose to wait for my friends food to come since she said it would "Be right out". 28 minutes later she brought my friends food out. When I asked to have mine reheated since it was now cold, she said, "Why? I brought your food 5 minutes ago." I said no, you brought it 28 minutes ago and now it's cold. After she she argued with me for a few minutes she grabbed my plate out of my hand put it in the microwave and dropped it back on the table in front of me and walked away. My friends and I were appalled at her lack of professionalism and rudeness. Our server apologized over and over because she witnessed the whole thing and when she tried to comp some of our bill that exact same manager refused. Before I go there again I will be calling to see which manager is working that night. That's sad. read more

I have never been in a Chilis before and will have to ask about portion sizes next time. I am not at all a big eater and was able to finish the ten or so nachos on my plate. I can never finish what is offered at all the other food establishments. Not sure what it was called but it was the smallest portion of food I have ever received anywhere. Even Japan. I can't believe they don't get constant complaints about this and increased the amount. Oh well, I think I'll try them one more time to see. Plenty of other places to spend $. read more

Gerry, I would agree on the salad. That is my go to. Although, last visit, after ordering online, the take out line was long and the 'bartender' was no where in site. There was a kitchen gal who helped the 3 gals in front of me. Hope they get the carry out together. Dine in is awesome. read more
