When she finally came back to serve my granddaughter who came in later, I told her that the $20 baked potato was the driest one I've ever tried to eat. I asked if I could get some butter or sour cream to be able to eat it. Over 15 minutes after she brought the potato to the table, she brought me 3 little containers of rock hard cold butter. This was an insult since my potato was already cold. She then went over to my sister with the bill. I told her not to pay for my food because it was unedible. My sister stated I wasn't paying for it anyway, so it wasn't a big deal. It was to me. I paid more in gas to get there than my food bill was. The waitress told me she would check with the kitchen to see if they could get me another potato. The waitress did bring another lady over to talk to me about my food. I couldn't hear her very well because of the noise, but she told me that the server did bring me more butter. When I said it was rock hard and my potato was already cold, she stated that of course the butter was cold because it's refrigerated. I can tell that she didn't graduate at the top of her customer service class! She said she could give me a discount on my meal. Sure, after it had already been paid for and everyone at the table had already finished their meals. Everyone had been offered to go containers at this point which they never offered one to me so I could at least take it home to reheat it to make it edible. That's how you lose a customer for life! My granddaughter-in-law was one of the people at the table who is the brother of one of your higher ranking kitchen staff. Future family gathering will not be at this restaurant. Btw, I stopped at Wendy's when I went home, and was VERY SATISFIED with their $5 potato. Their potato was the same size as the one I was presented with at your restaurant.

It is a cute little place with a rustic vibe. The counter help/waitress was extremely friendly and helpful. We sat down to eat (as she said she could come over and take our order - otherwise it is counter service). First tiny thing, is I was confused by the menu. Here is where my confusion was, they have platters but you HAVE to get 2 meats. That is a lot of food for me so I hesitated, but went with it as I prefer BBQ platters to sandwiches. I got pulled pork and wings as my two meats, plus onion rings and mac & cheese as my two sides. Note, the Mac & Cheese is actually very al dente noodles with nacho cheese over it - the waitress did warn me on that one, but I did it anyways! Hubby got brisket, hot links and fries and beans as his sides. Plus it came with Texas toast. Ok, so it was a HUGE amount of food. BBQ is never cheap, so for the cost they definitely give you good portions. Onion rings, fries, Texas toast and the BBQ sauce were all very good. However, I really don't like that you only get a tiny little container of sauce - if I want to sauce my meat more, then let me! However, if you want more sauce it is .75 cents each container. SMALL containers (see photo). My pork tasted like pork, I didn't taste smoke or spices. Same with the brisket and the hot links had cheese in them (hubs is lactose intolerant and were barely warm). The wings were plain and literally just fried with no spice or sauce - again you got a tiny container on the side. To me everything was fine, but lacked a real deep or spicy flavor. Not having sauce on tables or at a station we could get more, really sucked. Not seasoning or tossing the wings, was odd. We ended up taking tons of food home. It was fine, but for me it just wasn't flavorful enough. However, I found the restaurant and workers very friendly. BBQ is so personal, it might do it for you. We had heard great things, so go try and decide for yourself.
