Wish I could rate the brewery separate from the Soco chicken because I enjoyed the brewery more than our meal - I got the King Coal stout on nitro and I thought it was super smooth and tasty. My husband got the Irish Red and we both thought it was solid but nothing special. I liked the ambiance of the brewery inside - looks like the building is some super old historic site. For food, the wait definitely took a while (maybe thirty minutes from ordering). We split a chicken quesadilla and the Big Broody sandwich. The sandwich was tasty, breading was flavorful and came out hot. The homemade tortillas were nice, but the side of salsa definitely could have been double the size. Overall everything was just too greasy and left our stomachs in a bit of unease afterwards. Would come back for beer if we pass through again! read more

Support for small, local businesses is important, and if you like beer then this is a great place. Our table had two beer drinkers who ordered a flight and glass and all were enjoyed and the glasses were empty! If you are not a beer drinker they have some canned beverages as well as some homemade sodas so there is something for everyone. It's chilly inside so dress warmly if it's cold outside. The tables are all community tables so it's a great pace to meet new people. read more

The beer here can't be beat, wonderful flavor and wife variety of types ales to Pilsner to Stout. How'ever the place does not serve food or have any food items. They do have a popcorn machine that but you can order delivery like Dominos and eat at a table. Quiet, no smoking and not extremely busy. I highly recommend this place. read more

Love at first visit. We live about 25 minutes away but will gladly be making the drive back to visit again soon. So many delicious beers (I'm partial to the Chile Wheat), friendly staff and I absolutely love the vibe here! I just followed them on Instagram and they are spot on in describing themselves - "exceptional beer, hometown atmosphere." If we ever consider moving to Florence, proximity to this brewery would be a huge selling point. Also worth noting that they seem very family-friendly. Brought our two year old with us and in addition to an array of adult board games, they also had a few kids toys and a collection of kid books. The hubby and I recently found Florence and its small town charm. This trip we made a point to seek out Florence Brewing and get a few beers. The seating area is full of picnic tables and has a communal vibe. They had tons of great beers on tap. I tried the Cherries-n-Cream and the Watermelon one (which I can't remember) and both were very good. Not too overpowering on the fruit and smooth easy drinking. Looks like they have tons of events including Government Night and they have the Broncos games on Sundays! If we we lived down here, we would come all the time. Very disappointed. After an hour plus wait, we still had not gotten our food and there were people who ordered ahead of us still waiting for their food. No employee came to give us an update on where our food was. They kept taking in more orders knowing that they were over an hour behind. Ended up leaving in disgust and still hungry! Delicious! We had the frickles, western burger, jail break burger, and a classic burger. All were excellent. Definitely worth the drive to get here and hope to pass this way again to try more of the menu. The table next to us had a basket of chicken tenders and they looked really good. Stopped into Florence Brewery on the way back from Westcliffe Colorado. I love checking out local breweries in the state. First off their logo is totally awesome. I hope they never change it. The interior of this brewery is clean and rustic. Has a bar top and community tables. I definitely felt at home here. The staff were very sweet and helped me decide which beers to try. I tried a sour and a wheat. I wasn't blown away by any of the beer I had but I did enjoy them a lot. Randomly ran into some friends who are also Brewery goers. They said it's one of their favorite. So that was nice. Tip: you can bring your own food in I had hoped to pick up a t-shirt but they had a limited selection. Maybe next time we stop by. Keep up the good work! read more

My husband and I are from Denver and stopped at Florence brewing as part of a passport brewery tour and this is one of the best breweries we have ever been to. I got the Alpine loop, which is a Hefe, and it was soooo good. Florence is a small little town and you can tell it's the local hangout. Everyone seemed to know each other and ignored us for the most part. Bartender could of been a little more friendly, but she wasnt rude, just short with us. We were easily able to get a table outside and the staff was friendly and took all the necessary precautions during those times. I will start this off by saying I am not really a beer person, I like my vodka... Though Florence Brewing Company made me have a change of heart. Located off the main thoroughfare in Florence, the Brewery may be hard to spot initially but definitely take a moment or two to find this place. We actually came to Florence just to check out this Brewery, so we were set up to pretty much try everything that they had on tap and that we did (Well the BF did). I mainly stuck with the Alpine Loop which is a Hef, and certainly was one of the best I have ever had. Bluemoon/Shocktop who? Seriously smooth. The bartender informed us that they had some Ethiopian Nitro Cold Brewed Coffee from a local spot down the road which they were serving with their Stout. I do not like Stouts, but to be honest this combination sounded rather amazing so I had to try it. I had two 6 oz. pours, and they were amazing, seriously so delicious I could have kept drinking them but I wanted to be able to fall asleep eventually. My boyfriend tried everything, but kept the Double IPA & the other high alcohol content brew (I forgot the name) till the end, as he likes to call those beers the "Night Night Brews". He definetly loved every single one, but by the end of the evening the Oktoberfest had been finished off (Apparently a hit with all the patrons). We had such a great time, the bartender was awesome and so was the owner. The owner/master brewer does not mess around when it comes to his brewery. They do not serve food here, but seems like they generally have local vendors come by and sell their grub. We happen to be there when the BBQ guy was on deck, and it was delicious plus a perfect combo with the beer. You can have your favorite beer canned here too, and or buy a large growler which is pretty legit. The pricing is on point with the area, extremely reasonable about $5 a pop, though the higher the Alcohol content the smaller the pour for obvious reasons (without sales tax which they add on). Did I mention this is a Veteran Owned Brewery? So yeah another awesome reason to come support this business. This is a MUST VISIT Business!!! Cheers! read more

I ventured down to Florence Brewing Company in hopes of finishing my Game of Beers (a Game of Thrones themed brewery crawl), and I was not disappointed. For a town that is so small, this place really packs a lot of character. I especially liked the side room used for board games, darts, karaoke, etc. They brew tons of beers and have so many on draft, it was difficult to choose which one I wanted to drink. Thankfully, the beertender was great and let my try all of them! My favorite had to be the flavored IPAs. My only disappointment was that the popcorn machine was broken. If you are traveling through Florence or live in the area, you have to check out Florence Brewing. My wife and I travel a lot and we love to check out different breweries in different cities. Florence Brewing definitely didn't disappoint! They have great prices (although prices just went up a little due to tax), have games, flat screens to watch your favorite sports team on, are friendly, trivia night along with other events, and the people who work behind the bar are extremely friendly. They have a good selection of different beers for everyone's taste and even have crafted soda for those that don't drink or might be driving that night. An added bonus is the popcorn machine if you need a snack. If you are a little more hungry you can have a pizza delivered or pick up some sushi near by and bring it in.
