I love their chips, salsa and queso. I think that's the best thing on the menu.

We had not been to Chili's in quite awhile, had dinner this weekend and were overall pleased. My husband and I tried something different and both liked our food. My husband ordered the BLT quesadilla and I had the Southwest Chicken wrap along with a cup of their Chicken Enchilada soup. Both meals were yummy! Bad. Just so bad. I went out to lunch today with my mother, and sister and was BEYOND disappointed in the service. I work in the restaurant industry and I realize that there is a lunch rush, and things can be hectic. However, we did not come during lunch rush hours, and there weren't many tables. We were told two servers would be helping us out, so you'd think that the service would be even better than usual right? Wrong. Our server Janelle started out by taking our drink order, which when she brought out was wrong. We ordered an appetizer, and it came out in a decent amount of time. Never came back to ask us how our food was, appetizer or entree. We sat with our glasses empty for at least 10 minutes before she even noticed us. Right after she brought our food out, she brought the check... We didn't even get a chance to take a bite out of our food! It wasn't busy so why the need to rush us? I'm not complaining about the food by any means. But if you get assigned her as a server, I highly suggest patience being one of your personality traits. She will ignore you, until she absolutely has to talk to you. Even then, it's the bare minimum. Not even a half assed smile! We used to love this place and go there all the time but service is so bad we're not going back. My daughter and I were seated quickly and we were brought water. The place wasn't that busy but nobody helped us. I tried to flag down a waitress but we were ignored. After 20 minutes we left. Nobody seemed to notice. Employees were having a swell time visiting with each other and chatting. We went back another time, giving them a second chance. We were told there was a 5 minute wait. The hostess was seating people in the bar but since one of us was under 21 we had to wait for a table. After a nervous hostess told us it would be just a second (about 5 times) we were starting to doubt it. It didn't look to busy. A lot of tables were open. After 30 minutes we left and went to Mr. Pickles across the parking lot. I figure by the time we got home with our sandwiches we might be getting water and maybe a menu at Chili's. read more

I was here a couple weeks ago on a Thursday and my service was okay, the waitress could of been more attentive and didn't ask once of i wanted more chips and salsa also didn't tell me my different options when I ordered the stuffed nachos. I didn't realize that the nachos could be with chicken or with beef. But what really made me upset was that when I asked the waitress if I can get some chips and salsa to go, she told me that her manager said no. Never have I been told no about taking chips and salsa home from chilis. And I eat at chilis at least once or twice a month. I more than likely will not be choosing this location any time soon. I don't know if this chili's is just disgusting or they all are because the food was horrible . The burger was very plain, and the chicken enchiladas were just microwaved mush. Lol it was so gross. To top it off I ended up with a nice hair deep in my enchiladas. I do have to say the manager and the waiter were very attentive and took care of things. read more

This location is very close to my home. So my family, friends and I dine here very often. They have welcoming and attentive staff. The food is not bad at all! They have great variety and meal specials and it is never crowded as other food chain places. One tip for you, join their Chilli's rewards club. Have been coming here at least a few times a month usually have good service, but today it was terrible. Got our order wrong and then when the lady brought our food out it was our main meal not our entree so I politely told her we haven't gotten our entree yet and she gave us the worst attitude and face " oh, so do you want that first." No duh who wants their main course first then their entree. Our waiter never asked us about our food or filled our water I asked for extra sauce and they brought out the wrong sauce. When our entree came out it was the wrong order, what a surprise. Had to keep bugging other waiters to help us. The main meal that the lady took back and then brought back was so stale and cold because it was sitting out the entire time. Absolutely terrible service no apologies and no help, will not be coming here anymore and this place was our favorite. Did I mention my entire arm and hand is in a cast definitely felt neglected and the same rude lady came back after she heard me say I was leaving a bad review and tried making small talk then as she walked away she said "it's all good now." I ordered my food online at 6:37 on May 13, 2018, for in restaurant pickup and was told that my food would be ready at 7:08. I arrived at the restaurant and had to wait an extra 45 minutes for my food to be brought to me. The food was cold upon arrival, the asparagus was hard and undercooked and the Texas cheeses fries were a big block. However, it was on Mother's Day, but that is no excuse for subpar food and terrible service. I encourage anyone to not order food online at this establishment. read more

Me and my family went there last night for dinner (4 adults and 1 two year old total of 5 people)and was told 10 to 15 minute wait to be seated we waited 35 minutes to be seated. Thinking the worst was behind us we sat at this table that was open when we got there 35 minutes ago and waited and waited oh yeah and waited just to hear the people from the next table say to the waitress that's been telling us I'll get your drinks in one minute for the past 15 minutes and still has not even took the drink order that there food was ordered 20 minutes ago there drinks drinks were empty and what is going on. I've been coming to the Citrus Heights location for years now and I don't know what's happened. For the last couple of months the quality of food has gone down hill. Not to mention that the staff always seem to be busy or just disappear. Tonight one employee was leaving out the pick up door and yelled in my ear to say goodbye to the staff. I'm all for saying bye to people but I don't need you yell in my ear to do so. Diego took our order, he was really is nice but even he dropped the ball. I ordered the triple dipper with big mouth bites NO ONION and extra avocado ranch. My partner gets a five piece honey chipotle crispers a la carte with two honey mustard sauces. We order this meal about once a week. But it's getting to the point that we don't want to come here anymore. We have had to check our order EVERY time for the last month because the staff keeps messing up. The one time we don't check and take our meal home, IT'S WRONG!!!!!! I'm sorry but what is so hard about leaving onions off a burger and making sure we get the right sauces or sauces at all? I couldn't even eat my burgers because they tasted like onions. The triple dipper was suppose to come with three sauces only one was right. My partner didn't get any sauce and his food was soggy. We are totally fine with waiting for our food when it's busy but to mess up our order so often is sad. It's only made worse when the order is wrong when the restaurant is slow. We've had to ask the manager to refund our order because the meal was so bad coupled with terrible service in the past. I wish we had checked our order tonight before our ten minute drive home. We could have avoided a terrible experience. Chili's needs to get it together. If the staff has enough time to flirt and sit around in the kitchen then they have enough time to get a simple meal right. Got there was til wait would be 15 to 29 minutes, 50 minutes later when I was sent a text saying my table was ready but it was a mistake I was ready to leave. There were table open to seat us, but were seating other parties that came after us. We asked to see the manager but she was too busy. The host didn't want to talk to us anymore so he finally started busing tables (he hadn't bussed tables the whole time we'd been waiting.). Really, 1 star is TOO HIGH of a rating. So here's how it rolls out: I've come here on numerous occasions, all were decent experiences, nothing I would complain about but also nothing too great. But today, today was the greatest visit ever. I get there and there aren't too many patrons so I think, "Hey, pretty sweet, I hope I get some good service tonight". But about 7 minutes later, still no greeting or even acknowledgment by at least 3 other staff members that clearly saw me standing there smiling at them thinking, "maybe he/she can help me..". Nope. Well, some more time goes by and I'm finally seated. I was greeted by my server a little bit later (Andrea) and ordered me a drink. Wow was it watered down! No flavor at all, but I tried to think, "hey, I don't need the extra sugars in me anyway". Then I ordered an appetizer to try and get started with along with their "shiner full rack of ribs". Andrea tells me she'll be back with my chips and salsa just shortly. 10 minutes pass. Nothing. 15 minutes pass. Nothing. 20 minutes later I get the chips and salsa. Her excuse? "Sorry for the wait, we had to make some more chips, be careful! They're hot!" I went to grab a chip because I was so hungry and what do ya know?...cold.... and EXTREMELY SALTY at that! Well, about 15 seconds later, my ribs arrive. Burned and very tough to eat. I ordered the "shiner" style bbq sauce because Andrea had told me they were spicy. No. No spice, just tangy and ketchup-y. Wow. AND they weren't even hot. The fries that came with em? Cold. And also EXTREMELY SALTY. I didn't complain one bit to them because I really don't like to make a scene but this was the last straw...I HIGHLY DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS CHILI'S. Came here last minute for dinner. I was so excited to eat and have a drink after a long day. Unfortunately, Chili's has downgraded on their ingredients and the freshness of their food which i was unaware of. The service was good but that was probably the only good part about the ENTIRE dinner. The drink which was $7 had a droplet of alcohol and 2 gallons of sugar( being sarcastic) but in reality thats what it tasted like. The food was not even a bit good and you could tell that they did not change the oil when they made the batch of fries my fiancé ended up with. My husband and I come to this chills all of the time. Tonight we walked in and unlike normal, there was no hostess at the host table. We waited for about 5 minutes while no one greeted us or acknowledged our presence. There was plenty of open tables and they were obviously not busy. The hostess FINALLY came out and told us we had to wait 5 mins for a table or that we could sit in the bar and directed us towards a booth. We walked back o the booth and it had food scraps all over it. My husband and I walked out. I have been a faithful customer of this chills and have never had this experience before but this experience has lead me to take my business elsewhere. read more

I dislike Chillis so much that I measure the experience to going to Carl's Jr, don't expect full service. Went to the Folsom location for a special Family night and was treated horribly. Server never came back to the table after taking our food order, so didn't get a refill on our drinks until the food came. Server nor manager came up to the table One single time before the food was brought out. After the food was brought out and refills were given (after asking for them) she still never came back to check on us. (How's the food, need anything, etc..?) Nothing. Came to eat here several times. They have a $10 special going on that includes an entree, appetizers, and dessert. Well worth it. I've had their fajitas and ribs with salad, but you can also pick macaroni and cheese, soup , fries, among other choices for your appetizers too. Then their lava cake for dessert! if you don't want the lava cake, you can pay just an extra $2 for their other choice of desserts. One did, and chose their berry cobbler with a large scoop of ice cream. Was so good! Will come here again to try other menu items, as they have an extensive menu. Just got home from dinning. It was one of the worse. The waitress asked me to cut into my steak to make sure it was to my liking. That was fine. The steak was hot. Nothing else on my plate was hot. The waitress never checked to ask how our dinners were after that. I found another waitress with a pink bow on the side of her hair. Asked her for some butter. She said no problem and ask what kind of butter oil based or stick. I said oil bases. Not 2 min later she walked by with food and butter for another table. I never got mine. She never even knowledged we went there. I Found our waitress and asked for butter. She bright stick butter out. But honestly it didn't even matter my food was so cold the butter wouldn't even melt. Went to chillis tonight even though I normally don't. My kids and I were seated and waited for 7 minutes without anyone even saying hi. We watched as two more families were seated after we were and they were promptly helped. After 7 minutes we decided to leave and when we stood up our waiter appeared and didn't bother to say a single word to us as we walked out. Service was horrible, glad I didn't stick around to be likely disappointed by the food too. read more

I'm a regular here. Try to get Phalesia or Sara as a server. I've found most all of the servers to be pleasant here, but those two are more efficient. The managers that I've met are great (Carlos and Chris), and any problems I've had were addressed satisfactorily if I brought it up. 5 stars for our server and food. 1 star for hosting... Uh, hello? Where is the host. I stood there with my boyfriend and one other person for about 3 minutes before she finally showed up. The other person didn't feel like waiting because they walked out. We should've followed suit. After we were seated I witnessed three other couples walk out because they weren't being helped. Isn't the hostess' job to stay at the front counter and greet customers? Not stand in the back kitchen with everyone else. Hmm. I would understand the wait if it was busy, but it wasn't. Someone must have told her to stay up there because she was staying at post the rest of the time I was there. Unfortunately, that didn't help the situation because as people were leaving she didn't say thank you or have a good night or anything. Didn't even see her smile once. That's TERRIBLE customer service. Losing three groups because of a no where to be found hostess. If you don't want to work then quit. My food was great. Server was awesome. FOOD POISONING.....Went to this chili's monday night sat at the bar ordered a regular cheeseburger. They brought it out and I ate it and thought," that's a lot of mustard on this burger." Look it's Chili's. I wasn't expecting it to be an amazing experience but actually seeing the waiter more then the time he took our order was expected. The food came out luke warm at best and we had to walk to the bar (where he was also the bartender) and ask it to be warmed up. He wasn't there so we had to find ( and I mean search out and locate another person to take it back). There was literally a group of servers/bus people chatting in the back while a large number of us out eating where asking where everyone was. Finally after 15 minutes of waiting on sides to go with the luke warm food- they don't arrive. No apologies just a manager (who I asked for) who said I've been slammed on the other side and didn't have time to walk this side. I stated we had been there over 60 minutes and had only seen the waiter table side 1 time as well. If you can't staff that side - don't sit people there. She just stood there with a blank stare. Apparently I had stumped her with a profound idea. Delayna is the manager and she should be re-trained or removed. So this is my 4th time experiencing problems with this chili's location. I try my best to brush it off of my shoulders but the experience upsets me every time I go and I don't want to have to leave because I enjoy the food. The first bad experience was when I came with my family. We waited a very long tome for our food to come out and when I received my Cajun pasta, there was wayyy to much Cajun seasoning. I didn't enjoy eating it. My second bad experience was when I did a to go order and came to pick it up. I had it to where I can come real quick on my lunch break and pick it up but I ended up waiting 10-15 minutes to even get helped. I saw many workers walking around and messing around in the kitchen. They saw me waiting and NO ONE helped me. I was very upset. My third time was when I came to pick up my order and last minute ordered a soda. The worker then went to go pour the soda and as he was walking back, he stopped to talk to a co worker, messed around and that co worker knocked the soda out of his hand and it hit the floor. Mind you, I can see everything happening in the kitchen so at that point I was beyond pissed. I couldn't believe I had to still pay for the soda with that type of service. It's disrespectful and wasting my time. My last and final experience I will be having with you was today when I did my final order to pick up. When I got there, everyone was looking at me and said that they couldn't help me because they are a runner. What the fuck. Then go run your ass to look for someone to help me so I don't have to fucking wait any longer for my to go order. That is all unacceptable and I will not return to chili's ever. The Horror, the Horror. Went to Chilis on Sunrise last night with my wife for Valentines. No chips or salsa given to us, waited a half hour for food to arrive It arrived weird, The baby back ribs were cold and disgusting ( Ketchup added to bbq sauce) Corn on cob was smashed on one side and deflated, fries cold. Waitress sent it back, 3 different corn on the cobs came out to replace and all were crap, second set of baby back ribs came out (hot but still disgusting) Wifes steak was raw and luke warm (she ordered medium) her broccoli was good. Anyways after trying to work with them they sent some scroungy little pieces of fries to me. Yuck. So I watched my wife eat after they prepared a second serving for me and failed. never had corn warm on one side and smashed and cold on the other (kernals so small that I have never seen before) Never complained about a meal in over 20 years and only once before. Ruined Valentines dinner for me and my wife. They did not charge me for my half of the dinner (Still paid for my wifes and left a generous tip for waitress). Absolutely sucked, this is supposed to be a professional restaurant? They absolutely cannot prepare and serve quality food it was disgusting, (Shrimp was cold to) PS I did not eat my food, tasted it only, nasty! read more

My husband and I wrote a complaint and received a call back from someone at the company. They were very polite and we were surprised in the mail with $40 gift coupons for the restaurant, so we went back for lunch and brought the kids. The food was still good, but we did have a service problem. Nice waitress and it didn't look busy but we waited almost 30 minutes for our meal to hit the table, and another 10 to receive our condiments/refills etc., about 10 minutes to get our boxes, and another 10 minutes for our check to be paid. That is not included in the time it took for the manager to come out and greet our table and ask us if our visit was better than our previous visit. Because of the special gift checks we had, he knew we had experienced a problem. He was very nervous and fidgety and looked pretty uncomfortable but he was still very nice. I appreciate them for trying, I just think they really need to focus on quality of service, between managers, and staff. Fix that and they will do amazing! read more

I give 4 stars because out of the many times I been here I only had a few issues but enough to write about when I go here its almost like I get better service when its there's more customers and slower the less I donno how its odd so I hardly order take out from anywhere well a few weeks ago maybe a month ago I ordered take out and very very disappointed in the food I ordered the 2 for $20 I got fries pickles as the app and we got 2 orders of the honey chipotle crispers we asked for ranch also when I got home I notice they crispers did not have the sause on them but on the side to where we had to get another bowl out so toss them ourselves and the ranch was in side the boxes with the hot food the ranch was not OK to eat as it was really hot the pickles were nasty and I pretty much just ate 1 crisper and a few fried because everything was ruined wasted my money and time read more

wow management is horrible. no host/hostess, nobody helping us for refills. i only see one waitress in the entire restaurant. at least 15 people have literally walked in waited for 10 minutes with no acknowledgement from anyone that works here then walk out.
