Came with a group of 8. The hostess immediately liked as if she was in peril when I told her the number of guests and sent for a manager. After the brief meeting, they say us at a dirty table. Fortunately, they allowed us to use one of their rags to wipe it off ourselves. The waitress told us that she'd get us some free chips for the inconvenience, but when we asked where they were, she told us she didn't think we seriously wanted the chips..... We waited for an hour and a half for our food, but it never came so we left enough to cover the few drinks we had while waiting and left. The experience was gross and disappointing. And.... I don't dine here often, but EVERY time that I agree to go with someone, there is some sort of an issue with dirty dishes. Our group of about one dozen people had lunch here and it was the consensus opinion that we probably won't be back. The "tiny" things they called hamburgers were dry, stale buns and accompanied by miniscule quantities of potatoes/onion rings. Condiments were limited. Soda pop was priced at $2.30. Absolutely rediculous. No utensils/napkins on the table and when we asked for them, the waitress handed a bunch to one person and told them to pass them around. All my experiences with this restaurant have been negative. My last experience with Chili's establishment I had ordered their steak fajitas. My steak fajitas were incredibly dry to the point to where it hurt my jaw because I had to chew for so long each bite. I had to ask the waiter to throw the steak fajitas away, and asked for new ones. They bring a new one and that batch of steak fajitas were just as dry. The waiter we had only showed up to the table three times, and the silverware was dirty. We didn't have napkins so we had to ask a waitress walking by if she could possibly grab us a couple. I would not recommend this place to anyone going to Flint. Go to somewhere else such as Texas Roadhouse, or Red Robin. read more

By far the worst Chiles in the chain..and I have been to a lot of them. Worst hostess, worst waitress, worst service and worst food. This was my first time out after the latest Michigan restrictions for sit down eating were lifted. And really the State needs to put them back on this Chile's to spare the customers from real pain and and suffering. First off it took about 8 mins to seat us as the hostess wandered around looking for which of the 50 open tables to put my daughter and I. I get the 25% capacity thing but maybe they were at 10%. Waitress came by late to take our very simple order...despite having a pen and pad in hand she didn't write anything down. I had soup and salad my daughter kids grilled cheese. And two drinks. She comes back 5 mins later and asked what type of salad I ordered?? Really? How bout utilizing that pen in your hand? And it's a house salad how tough is that?? 10 mins later no drinks...she comes back and asks my daughter what she ordered...she guessed chocolate milk...was a cherry lemonade... close. Took over 10 mins for the drinks. Another 10 mins for the food. I asked for two honey mustards on the side...I got one. My daughter's meal was stone cold. Fries half frozen. Mine came with no silverware for the salad but did get a spoon for the soup. 5 more mins and had to ask for napkins and silverware??? I mean isn't that basic to every sit down meal? I need to ask for them? Waitress should not be in this business for sure. She was having issues with every table. Finally finished the sub standard meal and asked to pay on the kiosk thing on the table. She comes and resets it as it had someone else's meal on there. I got a call...took it. Then tried to pay on the thing..no go. Waitress no where to be found. Hostess would not help me. Took us over 20 mins to pay. Finally just asked for change for a $20 from bartender to leave cash. Overall the worst Chiles experience in my long Chile's history. Will for sure go to another Chile's but not this one in Flint. They should close it down for the sake of humanity. read more

Went here for a quick and cheap dinner, was highly disappointed. I am part of the rewards club so i get free chips and salsa when we go. My husband and I first sit down and wait more than 5 minutes to be greeted while our server walked past us multiple times without saying anything. we ordered a coke and a water, as well as our chips and salsa and a side of the queso. the queso came out almost immediately, with no chips, and we still didn't get our drinks for another 5 minutes. the server didn't seem to care or be in any hurry to take care of us. by the time our chips and drinks got there, the queso was cold and gross. after waiting more than 20 minutes after ordering, the server comes out and says the kitchen missed our ticket and they are just putting it in. we get it, mistakes happen. another 20 minutes go by, we have been inside the restaurant for an hour now with just chips and cold queso. i ordered the big mouth chicken sandwich. she comes out and asks if it's okay that it's tossed in buffalo, because the cook did that on accident. no, it wasn't really okay, i've been waiting an hour for a chicken sandwich and now it's not even what i ordered. i told her it was fine and to just bring it out because i was starving. the sandwich was disgusting as i don't like buffalo and it wasn't what i was wanting to order. at this point we paid, tipped, and left. i wish we would've went to mcdonald's. they were not apologetic whatsoever and seemed like they didn't care. highly dissatisfied, do not recommend, and we won't be returning! read more

One of the worst restaurants food wise in the area. The waitress was really good checking on us regularly, refilling our waters and such. However the food was a different story. Food took forever to come out. I ordered their smokehouse burger with no pickles, tomato, and lettuce. There was pickles both on the sandwich and on the side Incase I wanted to add more to the burger. (The waitress even wrote no pickles on the sheet, so it was more their incompetent cook). The burger I ordered medium because I like very little pink but just enough for flavor. Well the burger was so done that it smelled just like it was burned beyond fixation. Met some friends there at 530 PM on a Thursday night. The place was rather dead (maybe 5 or 6 others there) for the time of day. We sat down and within 2 minutes the waitress came over to take our drink order. The 2 women ordered triple berry margaritas, the other gentleman ordered a beer (I an't remember what type) and I was good and had a water. When the drinks came out about 10 minutes later, the other gentleman's beer was the wrong kind (he was given a Blue Moon) and she sat a coke in front of me. I told her that I had wanted water and to take the coke back and bring me what I had ordered. She walked away in a huff and brought back my water about 5 minutes later. As we began to order, we were informed that they didn't have any ribs, my first thought was "How in the hell do you not have ribs at 1800 on a Thursday?". We had to repeat ourselves no less than 3 times so she could write it down and make sure it was written right. 3 of the 4 of us had ordered soup while the 4th had ordered an appetizer of smothered chicken wings. When the soup came out, only 2 was brought, no 3rd and no chicken wings. I asked about it and she said that that was all that the cook had out for her but she would check on it. 5 minutes later, out came the left behind soup and chicken. The soup was lukewarm and the chicken was cold and rubbery, almost like it had been sitting out for, oh I don't know. 5+ minutes maybe? When the food came out, it looked good. I had a bacon cheese burger and fries which was good tasting and at the proper cook (Medium rear). My wife's plate was hot and she said it was good tasting. The other couples steak was a bit over cooked for them but they ate it and said it was alright. All in all, it was an OK evening. The food was alright but the waitress is what brought the review down. If you have good wait staff, they are what will bring customers back. Get rid of the dead wood, get happy, caring people. What should have been a simple take out order was a mess. I walked in to an almost empty restaurant at 5:30 pm on a Friday to pick up an online takeout order. After being directed to the bar, I approached the bartender and told her that I was there for a pick-up and gave her my name. Without a word, she turned and walked into the back, returning about 6 minutes later. She handed me the receipt and I handed over my debit card. She ran the card, returned with the slip, waited for me to sign it, and took it and walked away. She didn't say a single word to me the entire time! There was no "one moment please" or "here's your order" or "sign here", just silence. The quality of the food was no better. We ordered two entrees: Spicy Shrimp Tacos (with no avocado) with sides of rice and black beans, and a Choose Three of Chicken Soft Tacos and a Chicken Tostada with rice and salad. We also asked for sides of sour cream and salsa. Nothing complicated, so it should be simple, right? No sir. The shrimp tacos came with avocado and there were no sides of sour cream or salsa. Strangely, we did get an extra side of black beans. (Bonus?) The shrimp tacos were barely filled and some of the container's lids were on tight. I could have eaten better food from a microwaved frozen dinner. Needless to say, I will not be back and will not recommend this place to anyone. read more

We hadn't been to Chili's in a long time and decided to give them a try. We won't be back. Food took a long time and arrived burnt. 2 expensive hockey pucks (burgers). Sent 1 back, wish we'd sent both back, left and went to Wendy's. Fries were cold and tasted old. Best thing were the pickles which they only gave to one of us. Second burger was better. No discount offered. Watch out for their automated check out- it miscalculates tip. We still tipped 20% but calculated it ourselves as their program was figuring it at 30%. read more

Chili's used to be my favorite place to go to.....not any more. First they don't carry the top shelf pork carnitas anymore and that is all I would order. So I had to get steak fajitas which was the most inedible meat ever. I hardly ate 3 bites and none of the horrible beans/rice. My husband ordered a combo plate in which the chicken breast was raw the "smoked" ribs were boiled with a little ketchup like sauce on them. The sausage with it was not ate or tried. He was only able to eat the fries. We were not the only ones to complain every table was sending back food!! The manager was apologizing to every table, all he do for us was take $2.00 off our bill for raw chicken!! So we paid around $50 for a meal we could not even eat and did not eat!! When we first arrived and went to the restroom, one of the toilets was literally overflowing. We ordered an appetizer, no appetizer until we asked, more than 20 min later. Two out of five of our orders were wrong and another had a hair. Oh, and the manager was mopping the floor in the dining area, we are pretty sure it was the same mop he used to clean up the overflowing toilet. The manager never came to the table like we were told he would regarding the hair in one of the entrees. Also, every table within earshot was asking for replacement food or had another issue. Will never be going here again. Took over an hour to recieve an appetizer. After receiving the queso dip it looked and tasted like baby vomit. I've twice been to the Flint Chili's. It's a mistake I won't make a third time. In both cases the food was mediocre at best and the service slow and incompetent. On our last visit, it took nearly 45 minutes to get our rather simple orders for two people, and my wife's request for a simple substitution was forgotten. We walked in on Saturday, the lady sweeping the floors seated us. Ok, whatever. No one came by for at least 15 minutes. Finally someone stopped by and asked if we had been helped. She yelled to the lady still sweeping "this isn't my section". As they yelled back and forth, we became even hungrier and I think we sat there so long we actually lost weight. They argued a bit then she goes "well, I guess I'm your server!". She was actually sort of funny and took our drink orders, then came back and took our food orders. Service was very very slow, the place was empty except for one other booth. All we ordered were nachos and a burger. Nothing too complicated, unless they were out back trying to catch the cow. Not sure whose fault the slow service was but her comedic personally sort of made up for our less than stellar experience. The food was fine, but I doubt we'll return to this location. Very good experience. Went with Wife and son who is 4. He required special accommodations like a small spoon, smaller bowl that was not hot. Waitress was great and took care of everything without a problem while keeping drinks full and empty plates cleared. Food is always good here. I like the Mexican Mac and cheese and my wife is in love with the margarita pizza. Look forward to returning even if only for apps and drinks. read more
