We were here on a Thursday night. The restaurant was between 1/2 and 3/4 full when we were there, but there was not a wait. We ordered around 8:15 PM, a Cuban Crush and a Margherita Pizza, and got our food around 8:55 PM. Between the time we ordered and when we got our food, we did not see our server, Erica G. When we saw her 10 minutes after that, we let her know that some of our food came out cold. Her solution was to reheat the cold food or remake it. After being there around an hour, we really did not feel like staying, so we asked for neither. She sent her manager to talk to us. We did not catch his name, but he was wearing a University of Miami polo shirt. He offered the same solutions. When asked why we didn't have food for 45 minutes, he said a pizza can take up to 15 minutes to make and they were very busy. When I asked what he meant, the restaurant was not full, he asked if I wanted my food or not. I told him no, that I didn't really care for cold food and I was not sure if it was safe to eat. When I asked him that why we had not seen a server from the time we ordered until then, he said "What? Because your drink was empty or something?" At that point, I did not really want to argue over cold food and a waste of time, so we paid for our food and left. It was pretty disappointing to wait 40-45 minutes for cold food. It felt like our server went on break and no one covered for her, or noticed that some tables were going without service. I hope this is not what we should expect from Hamlin Pub. The chicken stew is surprisingly one of my favorite comfort foods. It's mushy, it's just comfort in a bowl- and you can buy it in bulk to go. I have had the spicy salmon bowl, beef stroganoff, and the summer berry salad - all were very good. I am always impressed by the menu, there is something for everyone. I typically do carry out due to having a toddler but when we have dined in the food and service have been great-the server attentive, the food fairly prompt and served hot. We got pretzels and onion rings as an appetizer and those were better than the main meal. The shrimp pesto pasta was very oily and the noodles were overcooked and almost mushy. The shrimp, tomatoes and spinach were fine in it. The personal pizza was okay. It wasn't a bad meal just not the best we've had here. Always enjoy the live music the piano player was a lot of fun and entertaining and can sing and play very well. read more

Excellent place! If you like French fries and wings...this place is a must! We can't wait to try their other menu items. The fries were perfectly crisp and perfectly seasoned. I'm not always a fan of seasoned fries, but these are honestly the best I've ever had. For the wings we got the sriracha bourbon sauce. Soooo good!! They were also cooked perfectly. Service and atmosphere was great. Prices on the food and drinks are quite reasonable. It was our first visit and definitely won't be our last!! read more

Upon entering you are greeted with a plethora of televisions - lots and lots of televisions! I do like the sports murals on the front wall -- on the right side you have the local national sports teams and on the left wall you have the local high school logos. Nice touch! There are also several windows that open - garage doors that can open - and lots of outdoor seating. Will be nice on those warmer days. Our waitress was super friendly. She kept our drinks filled and made a few suggestions that things we should try. I ended up trying the Cheesesteak. It was served with an au jus, which I am not used to being served with a cheesesteak sandwich. I used every bit of it though and it added a lot to the sandwich, so that was a nice addition. The sandwich was lacking filling -- as you can see from the photo, there was a lot of exposed bread. This shouldn't be the case with cheesesteak. The food and the service have always been good. We love the daily specials, (especially the half off pizza special on Thursday). What really sets Hamlin apart tho, is the extra efforts: the Hug Club with your personal bottle of Maker's Mark, the special tasting event(s); the Tiger's Opening Day bus trip, the nights with live music and the evenings with the classic cars. We really enjoy and appreciate these extras, it makes Hamlin more than just a place to grab a bite to eat. read more

Been here twice and have had awesome food and excellent courteous service both times. Today Abby took great care of my wife and I at lunch time, answering all of our questions and assisting us with our order. She truly did a nice job! My wife and I shared a deep dish pizza, which by the way are half priced on Thursdays! I also ordered a Cuban sandwich which I told my wife was the best I have found anywhere other than Miami. The meats were amazing and the bread choice excellent as was the honey mustard dressing. If you are anywhere near Davison area, you really need to visit this place! What we liked: * 5:00 and we were seated immediately for a group of 6. * the waitstaff was friendly. * the pizza we got to go was quite good. *The smokehouse fries had a really good glaze and taste. *We liked the local feel of the decor. What could of been better: * We preface this we knew they would be busy- and were ok with slow service. * While the smokehouse fries appetizer had good flavor it was literally cold. *I personally hat busing an app to look at the menu. They tout the number of beers they have on tap but you have to search on line and it's not an impressive list. * Service was friendly but not attentive or accurate. * The sliders were less than impressive, we got the 9 sliders with all three choices. *The steak sandwich and good flavor but chewy meat. First time being there I wanted to surprise someone but it was a bad experience. First, the bread of the sandwich I had was extra crunchy and it crumble like dirt and I couldn't enjoy. Secondly, the pizza somebody else ordered was blacker than us. Third, they had the windows open and bees were coming in and I was allergic to them and they didn't care until like 30 minutes later. Went in today to have lunch with my daughter for father's day, the place wasn't busy, and the parking lot was empty. We waited by the counter to be seated, the hostess, an extremely large rude woman, led us to a table inside, at which point we asked to be seated outside since the weather was so nice. She informed us that they wouldn't be putting out the umbrellas which was fine. As we were sitting down she said something to the waitress I didn't hear. Which apparently was direction not to serve us. We sat there for al most 20 minutes. The waitress pointedly avoided us. There was only one other table out there that was being used. Then another couple was seated and served immediately. I tried to catch her attention but she stared at me and walked right past. I have never been treated so rudely anywhere before. Super disappointed. Ordered a 16 pc and 8 pc boneless wing, and spinach artichoke dip. The wings barely had any sauce, and they were so overcooked that they were crunchy and hard, they were much smaller size wise, one of the 16 was the size of a grape. Went on Tuesday 12/ 26/23 @ 5pm. Party of 4 adults. Although quite busy, we only had to wait about 10 min. for a table. We were served beverages within 5 min. Took about 15 min. before our waitress took our order. The restuarant was full, no more tables. We placed our orders- Fish tacos, 2 fish and chips, and chicken strips . Ice teas, water. It took about 25 minutes to get our food. A full order of fish & chips was 2 pieces of cod, and half a plate of french fries. So.... A half order is just 1 piece of fish? Fish tacos- 3. Loaded up, and delcious. Fish dinners- better than average taste. Chicken strips had some type of breading that, when fried, looked burnt. However, they were not burnt, but on a scale of 1-10 I give them a 4. Maybe the low rating was the batter. Anyway the chicken was moist, not dried out. Generous amount of fries, 9/10. Broccoli came with this meal. It was raw broccoli. Ok if you get some dipping sauce, which I didn't. I wont be ordering that entree again. I will go back. I may wait a few months until they are more seasoned in the kitchen. Maybe more Cooks, or a well trained head cook who can better oversee what is going out of the kitchen. read more

Hasn't been open very long. We had to wait a little while, which is to be expected. The place was packed--good for them! It's a very noisy place, and the way the place is set up--long tables everywhere, no booths--reminded me of a school cafeteria. They had a lot of pictures of Davison high school sports stuff. I guess Corporate told 'em, "Look, blow up a lot of pictures of Davison High School sports stuff because the locals love that crap!" We gave up trying to make conversation at dinner. Food is just meh. For example, we got chips and salsa for an appetizer. Pretty hard to mess up. They didn't mess them up, but there was nothing to make them memorable, like serving the chips warm and making your own salsa, which are always nice touches. I've been here 2 times before today and I had alright experiences but today really got me. I've been a server and a bartender for over 3 years and on top of that I've always been a huge foodie. No matter where I go if I see Braised Brussel Sprouts on the menu I'm getting them safe to say that I've had them well over 100+ times and I've had it twice at this location. Today I ordered them like I usually do and there was no balsamic vinaigrette on them and I waited till someone came to ask how the food was and the manger happens to swing by before the server and when she asked how everything was I mentioned that there was no balsamic vinaigrette on as you can see in the video and she responds without even properly looking at it that yes there was and if I wanted more I had to pay for it. Like my love I'm not trying to get anything for free but your kitchen simply forgot but if you're gonna try and charge me for I don't want it, I'd rather eat it plain. When she saw me taking a video of it she ran to the kitchen and brought me some out honestly at that point why bother and with attitude at that. I really hate that. This experience really brought down my overview of this place because the other two times weren't that bad, but that really is a no go for me.
