The chicken sandwich was the best crispy chicken sandwich I've had in a while. The fries were heavily seasoned so I could not eat much of them. I arrived at my pickup time but had to wait about 10 minutes more. The person who waited on me was helpful and kind. I cannot speak to service or ambience since my order was to go. I haven't been to a Chili's location for a few years because the location near my home closed. I used to be a regular there until then. I was working in the area, a coworker and I stopped in for lunch. We were greeted quickly, and our server was very attentive throughout our meal. I ordered the Quesadilla Explosion salad without the chicken, which was always my favorite meal at Chili's. My coworker ordered one of the lunch specials with chips and salsa and a burger. Our experience last week was so awesome we decided to make this our New Years Eve dinner. We asked to be seated in Heather's section again tonight. She was so happy to see us again and we were just as excited if not more for her to be our server again tonight. Heather even remembered the drinks we ordered last week. We met 2 of the managers last week and Heather was so happy to see us she brought over another manager (Lisa). The service was great but, when you order Togo, there's only so much the service can do to save the experience. The food was abysmal. We ordered bone in wings and got bone in fat! There was more fat on the chicken wing than anything else. They were inedible. We ordered an Oldtimer, the only thing we received that was actually worth eating. The fries that accompanied the burger weren't even seasoned. Lastly, we ordered FriedMozzarella, $10 for three pieces of fried mozzarella and it was ruined because whomever packed up the meal didn't bother to put a lid on the marinara sauce. When we opened the container with the fried mozzarella, two pieces of the fried mozzarella were absolutely soaked in the marinara, rendering them soggy and ruining the appetizer. This Chili's is located in Florence, SC. They are located off of W Radio Dr. We had actually looked at a few other places first, but they were so busy that waits were well over an hour. This is a pretty busy area overall, being just off of I-20 Business. My visit here was on August 27, 2022. First off, this wasn't as easy to find the entrance in here at first. We ended up going in at a further entrance over by the Home Depot and going through that parking lot to get there. When we got there, parking was pretty limited, but not surprising given how this was the case for everything else in the area. Once we came inside, someone said they would be with us shortly. It was very busy in there, and everyone seemed to be running over each other. It just looked like some didn't know what they were doing. With it being busy, almost all of the empty tables were still dirty, and floor wasn't much better. Every time I took a step, I felt like I was getting stuck to something on the floor. It would take about five minutes for someone to come over and seat us. We were seated at one of the booths in the bar area. After a few minutes, our server came by and said she would be back in a bit. Several minutes later, she was finally able to come to the table. We would get our drink orders in, and she would be back pretty quick with those. She asked if we were ready to order, and we were. I ended up going with one of my usual items, which is on the 3 for Me menu. I did the tea, dip trio (with double guacamole and white Queso) and Chicken Bacon Ranch quesadillas. My niece got the Queso burger and I forgot what my mom got. Anyways, a few minutes later, the dip trio came out to the table, so at least we were all able to snack on that for a while. With it being so busy, it took a lot longer than I am used to for orders to come out (it was over 10 minutes from the time it was originally ordered). I don't blame the server on that one. She was also all over the place. They didn't seem to be working in a structured "section". When the food finally came out, the good thing is that they did come out hot and it was as ordered for all of us. Our server asked if we needed anything, which we didn't at the time and then started to eat. The food was good. It is what I am used to with the Chili's I go to regularly in Virginia Beach where I live. Overall, this wasn't a bad experience, but from experiences I have had at other Chili's locations, this one wasn't up to the same standards I am used to at home. Everyone here seemed to be running around like chickens with their heads cut off. Maybe this was due to how busy it was, but I think some work needs to be done with management to get this under control during busy times. One thing I wanted to note was that there were several others that came in after us, but they were in and done before we were, and we don't take a long time ourselves. Another observation is that we never saw a manager at all roaming around during this visit, which is unusual for any Chili's I have been to. In the end, if you're in the area, take a look at other places available as well until the issues get addressed here. read more

First and foremost, Miranda the bartender this evening was beyond phenomenal. She was the hardest working in the whole place. She managed not only the bar drinks and food , but the table drinks and single handedly cleaned all the used bar glasses despite other staff lingering around waiting for their tables. Not one of the four to fiver servers offered to help her. Despite this, she was always attentive and extremely polite. As for the other waiters they should not be allowed to vape in their little waiting station. It permeates to the dining room which is only a few feet away. I do not like the feeling of being cheated I have been a Chili's customer for at least 20 years. I have had great meals at Chili's and poor meals at Chili's. At the Florence Chili's, the food and service can be hit or miss. My latest visit was on June 25th. I just simply wanted a to go order of Tortilla chips. The cost was $5.14 and the bag was 1/3 filled. I asked the cashier if she could fill the bag with chips and she stated that she filled the bag 1/3 full as management had instructed her for all bags of chips. As I stated earlier, I have been going to Chili's for over 20 years. I know what a full takeout bag of chips looks like from Chili's and a bag that is 1/3 full is not it. This left me with the feeling that Chili's is struggling financially and cutting corners to make ends meat. The problem is that new policies like this can leave customers feeling short changed or cheated. I have attached some pictures so that you can judge for yourself. So this is a basic chilis. They are all set up the same. It's pretty clean. I give it that. But from the first moment I didn't have the highest hopes. I was sat and waited about ten minutes for the server to come. We both got water and were ready to order but as soon as we said water the server turned and left. Couple minutes later they return and drop a nice glass of water on me. Honest mistake. I can get past that. They come back with new water and napkins and leave again. Still we are ready to order. Couple minutes later we get our order taken and then have to wait nearly 45 minutes. Maybe they were short staffed? Any way my meal comes out missing something but the server is gone so fast I don't have time to tell them. Don't see the server again until my partner is finished eating and I've been done for a while. So we've been over an hour for a not very complicated meal when it wasn't even busy. At that point we are actively looking for the server but to no avail. They finally come by and we ask for the check and a box. I can tell the few other customers are looking around like me wondering where the servers are. So they return with the table kiosk and no box. I pay cash and ask for the box again. They acted like I hid one that they gave me. Comes back with change and no box... maybe it's an off day. Maybe they don't care cause it's an interstate adjoining restaurant and don't have to worry about return customers. You decide. read more

This had to be one of the worst dining experiences I have had in a very long time. Arrived around 3:20 in the afternoon. 5 minute wait to be seated, cool. The young lady who showed us to our seat came back a few minutes later to get our drink order. 3:45 - still no drinks at our table and yet to see a server. I flag down someone who looks like they might be a manager and explain it appears we have been forgotten about - no drinks, no server etc. The manager apologized profusely, took our drink order and then went ahead and took our food order as well. Drinks arrived a few minutes later along with a complimentary chips and salsa. We are introduced to our "new" server. Not sure what happened to the old one - we never got to meet them. 4:15, still waiting for our food to arrive, manager comes by the table to let us know it will be out shortly. She is correct, our food came out about 5 minutes later. Manager is still apologizing profusely for our experience. My daughter then asks - are you training a bunch of new people today? The reply is yes. Drink refills are offered and accepted - however, later, after taking several sips, my daughter notices her mug has lipstick on it, and she's not wearing lipstick (ewww). Again, pointed this out to the manager, and again, profuse apologies ensued. 4:45, we have finished eating and ask for some to go boxes for the leftovers. The food itself was decent. I ask for the check - our server brings us the wrong check and walks away. Again, I flag down the manager and ask for the correct check. More apologies. While waiting for the check, I noticed a large party walk in. The host staff then start moving tables around to accommodate the large party. Instead of removing the items off the table, or moving the salt/pepper shakers, ketchup bottles and drink menus etc. to the center of the tables, the staff just leaves them where they are to fall off the edge of the tables while moving and realigning the tables. What I observed next shocked me even more than the terrible service we had been receiving. Instead of retrieving the items from the floor (ketchup bottles, salt shaker, menus) and taking them back to be cleaned, the hostess just picked everything up off the VERY dirty floor and put it back on the table as though nothing had happened. We finally receive the correct check and I hand the server a $25 gift card and my credit card. When it comes back, I am told the server did not apply the gift card but rather put everything on my credit card. They then had to redo the entire transaction to void the CC transaction, apply the gift card and then put the rest on my card. What in the world? Keep in mind during this entire experience, I am observing several staff standing around doing nothing or checking their phones for long periods of time. The section we were seated in seemed to be the only section being seated, and the people around us were voicing the same complaints we were voicing - a general lack of service, and lack of cleanliness (drinkware). If you are ever in Florence and consider going to the Chili's off of I-95, please save yourself some frustration and reconsider. I feel badly for a manager who constantly has to apologize for the lack of effort, teamwork, training and work ethic of her staff. Do not eat here. Awful service and my food had an object in it when it finally was served after a long wait. My party of four received their food at all different times. I received my order of fajitas last. It was missing items and had an object in it. The object was a sticker from some of the food packaging. They offered to make another order of fajitas. I declined because it takes too long. They removed the item from our bill. Should have comped the entire meal based on the poor service and unsanitary food prep. Based on our experience and other review it's time to get some new employees. There is clearly an ongoing problem here. read more

My Husband and I travel for his job so we get to visit all kinds of restaurants, local and nationwide. My experience today for lunch was terrible. We got here shortly after noon and they were not very busy. We were able to order drinks and appetizers after about 10 mins of being seated and had to wait another 10 mins for our drinks. One of the two appetizers arrived after we got a soup. The second appetizer arrived in the middle/end of our entree. We requested Togo containers for the chips and queso we didn't get to eat prior to our meal. Overall, with the service and quality of food, I don't see Chili's or maybe just this location, lasting very long. My broccoli was dark on the bottom and the steak was not cooked properly nor did it taste good even cooked on the well side. I will not be coming back to this location, even after my Husband and I get off the road and are settled here. I hope this review helps prospective families go somewhere else. read more

I live in Florence and stopped in to grab some dinner a week ago. I was alone so I sat at the bar. They're not separating people as they should for Covid and I'd suspect the kitchen is being managed to the same unhealthy standard. There were 4 peoplr at the bar and they had all been served yet it took It took 15 minutes to even acknowledge that I was there. Once she did. with a serious. WHY you here attitude, it took another 15 minutes to get a bottle of beer from the cooler. The two draft beers I tried to order were out and she didn't offer to change out the keg. I ordered a burger and it literally took over an hour to get the burger. The bartender did reward me with a free slice of cheesecake. But over an hour for a burger? I was honestly a bit nervous to even eat it and started getting nauseous thinking about it. I have a feeling they're punishing some folks because of the current political environment in the USA. I suggest that management use a secret shopper service or Private Investigations firm or someone from Corporate to figure out whats going on at this location. Awful experience. After driving 4 hours we thought we'd stop and pick up some dinner before going to our hotel. We placed an order at 8:43 for pick up by 9:11. We parked and waited and waited.
