We love Chili's...great food, nice atmosphere, and amazing staff. The wait staff are all friendly, know their menu items, and provide prompt service. One manager, Elizabeth, often comes by to check on us and ask about our dining experience. She too, is friendly and knows her products. I had the light lunch. Half a grilled chicken sandwich with avocado. French fries. Combination salad. Excellent flavor. My wife had the cheeseburger. Fries. Dinner salad. I tasted the hamburger and it was wonderful. Flame grilled flavor. Our bill with 20% tip was $28. Our server took good care of us especially considering the large crowd. Well - stopped here on a Saturday night while in town for the tournament. This chili's is near a mall, Walmart and various other sit down and fast food options. I have only been to 2 chili's in my life and literally had no idea they had their own chili which they are known for. We walked in and even though there were PLENTY of open tables, we were told 15-20 minutes. As my picture shows - there were 10-15 open tables. Not sure. So after about 10 minutes I pointed out a wide open area and asked if we could be seated there. The manager played dumb but then noticing I wasn't playing games- had an ah-ha moment and sat us. Nightmare. So I went with a 3 for $10 meal and opted for the chili, the burger, and the beverage of sweet tea/lemonade. The chili was very good: had nice spice to it and flavor, and the meat in it was chunky and topped with cheese. The drink was terrible. No flavor so I asked for just a strict sweet tea. They eliminated car side pickup, but the website and app both still ask. I ordered car side and parked in the first stall labeled pickup right outside the door. Person inside stood by the door and watched me. After 20 min past pickup time I shut off my car and went in. The waiter that had been watching asked how he could help. I stated that I had a car side order. He had the food sitting on a rack, and stated that they don't do car side anymore. I told him about the website and app. He said "Uh huh" and walked away. Of course our food was cold. There are so many restaraunts in this town that are the same, I don't need Chili's. read more

Went on Tuesday to try their Old-Timer burger special. It was a huge, absolutely delicious burger, got it with Pepper Jack cheese, onions etc. It was only $6.99 for burger and fries or a different side. I had the broccoli. Even though my wife and I have been eating at Chili's for years we were hesitant when we read numerous negative reviews of this location. Based on our positive history at other Chili's we went for dinner. We received a friendly welcome at the door, were seated immediately and the place was busy. Our waitress, Stacy, was fully attentive to our every needs. The fajitas were great as well as the quesadilla explosion. We will return when back in the area! read more

Although the food is usually great. I've gotta say the gentlemen host was extremely rude and embarrassing, never making eye contact, no smiles, didn't even acknowledge our existence as we entered the restaurant. He then made a gesture to follow him to a seat where he wiped off a table where people were already sitting, only to turn to us like "why are you following me?". Went here for my grandmas birthday this last weekend. We sat here for fifteen minutes while servers stared and walked by but never bothered to get our drink orders. They had a total of five cars in the parking lot and were certainly capable of taking a drink order to start us out. I walked back to the bathroom and saw two employees talking and eating some food like they had nothing to do. Was not impressed with the evening manager at all! Went in to around 838PM put my name and number on the wait list! Got the text message say that I was on the list! Host told me it would be about 40 minutes. So my party and myself went out to wait in our car! After waiting about 30-35 mins we came back inside to ask how much longer! I do not like to be one of those customers thats rude and asks every 10 mins how much longer! I have worked over 10 years in the restaurant business. I understand the stress and frustration! When I came in and asked the host informed me that our table was give to another Sarah party because the system did not save my number! Host told me at this point he would put me back on this list. It would be another 20 minute wait! At this point I was upset and asked to speak to a manager!! The manager came out and started off saying that they would put me back on this list, that my number didn't save! I said no it did because I got a text from it! He was kind rude and said let me see what time! So I showed him! He was like well we gave it to someone else. We can have one for you in 20 mins! I said I was not going to wait another 20 minutes for their mistake! He proceeded to storm of saying well I guess I will get you table now! He was very rude! Not the way a manager should act! I've been to this chili's multiple times (when it was someone else who chose it) and almost every time they have had a full lobby of people waiting and empty tables all over the place. On at least three occasions we were told that "sections are closed" or "the manager told us not to seat any more people" because they were "short-staffed" or "the kitchen was backed up." Tonight was the last time I'll go. Our party was told it would be a 25 minute wait and after 40 minutes we inquired whether we'd be seated soon and were told it would be another 25 minutes. Can't say how the food was because we left. It's ridiculous to have tables standing empty with people waiting because you can't properly staff your restaurant. read more

We enjoyed Chili's in Wichita Ks. We moved to another state for 5 years and when we returned to Kansas we settled in Hutchinson. Our first trip was very disappointing. The quality and the flavor of the food should have prompted us not to return, however we gave it another try a year later. The service was good but there were very few people dining there. We tried something different on the menu with the same results. Sad, because in years past it was our favorite restaurant. read more

Super not worth it. The queso we ordered was like warmed up spray can cheese, and was replaced (to their credit, at no cost to us) by a marginally better meat queso. Entrees were mediocre at best and my strawberry lemonade was way too sweet. I have been a fan of this establishment for years, however, it seems that this location fell short Christmas Eve. I expect the food to be consistent with every other chilis. Sadly it was not. The bartender was lack luster, when I sent food back for being burnt she told me she was taking it off my bill because I did not Ike it. My wife and I ate there on 11/15/16. She had the old timer burger and I got the beef enchiladas. I've had the old fashioned cheeseburger in the past and it's very good. I'm very picky about enchiladas and I think these were as good or better than any I've had in central Kansas. I will get them again. read more

The service was easily on par with anything it should have been, comparable to other similar restaurants, if not considerably better. The staff was friendly and service was prompt as well as accurate. We LOVE the buffalo wings with Bleu Cheese. Hotter the better, for me. :) :) :) We always start with an appetizer, and nine times out of ten, it ends up being the wings. Not overly filling and very tantalizing to the palette. Really makes you want more and leaves enough room to eat all of what you pay for. We ordered a few drinks the last time we visited and the bar-staff as well as the wait-staff, went out of their way to help my wife and I get exactly the drink we wanted. I ordered a classic, vintage drink not on the menu and they made it just to my liking and made sure I was pleased. I appreciated this quite a lot. The burgers are stupendous and mouth watering. The dishes are all very savory and flavorful. I always recommend Chili's when friends or family visit or ask about places to dine. Fantastic, in my opinion. read more

I first came to Chilis last year 2015 and fell in love with the chicken sandwich. Since then I cant tell you how many times Ive continued to eat here and time after time they mess up my order. Its gotten so bad that I actually check my food before I leave and 9 times out of 10 they mess my food up. I call and complain and its always the same response. Now today on Mothers day I order to go and check my food when I get in the car....well its messed up once again. Took it in to have it fixed and was told it will take 20 minutes to fix....not to happy and seriously done eating at this location. read more

I'm not normally unhappy with this place but we sat for almost an hour and a half and 5 other tables that came after us had their food and we were still waiting on our food. The sever had no idea the amount of time we sat waiting and was shocked. The orders didn't all come out at the same time and even after the sever was made aware we did not see a manager. Not a happy place today. The manager did finally come and did take some off the ticket. I totally understand being busy and new but this is not an experience I want to have again read more

Only rating this a one star, because I can't rate it lower. Chili's is the worst place I have ever worked at. I stayed there for a few short months and had to get out. It's been itching at me for a couple of weeks now and finally I have the guts to post about it. Working at Chili's started out to be okay. As I continued going I quickly noticed that all four managers were unprofessional. I will not name names for privacy reasons, but I will describe what I experienced. The front of the house manager was very unprofessional. He would eat chips from the chip machine in the back in the kitchen. He would promote conflict between his servers, when a server would mouth off to him he would allow it to happen and just tell the server to, "shut up." He told me to "f*ck off," and flipped me his middle finger a couple of different times; although he thought it was funny and acted like it was a joke, it wasn't funny at all. I took offense to how unprofessional he acted as a manger. It was almost as if he would buy into the younger servers talk, and try to "fit in" in with them. He had double standards for a select few of his workers and didn't treat everyone equally. This manager was also in charge of making schedules. On multiple occasions I witnessed him making a server work even when they got their shifts covered by other servers. I witnessed a couple of times that he would schedule servers to not only open but also close in the same day. Which meant, the server was expected to be at Chilis at 10:30 AM and was allowed to leave after close, which is at 11:00 PM (or after) and only was aloud to have a 30 minute break in between shifts. Also, could only eat in those 30 minutes of the ENTIRE day. Plus, personal or family emergencies are not taken into consideration at Chili's in Hutchinson. Absolutely ridiculous. The back of the house manager acted a little more professional than the front of the house. However, what I mainly noticed was that before our shift started, we would check ourselves in and she would always tell us that if we ever had any problems then to ask her for help and she will be on it. She would always say, "NO problem too small." Until however, the restaurant started to get busy, all of us servers started to fall behind and we needed her help. Then it was her snapping and yelling at us, "WELL FIGURE IT OUT." Okay? Well about an hour ago she had stressed to us that she would help us out if need be. False. Again, this manager along with the rest just doesnt't know how to treat their workers as human beings on a CONSISTENT rate. The shift leader, first of all. He is young, and ridiculously rude. He also buys into the younger server drama. He treats everyone like they are a nobody. He pretends like they are irrelevant to Chili's in general. Also gets very annoyed when you ask him for help. On different occasions I had witnessed him talking to a server, and after that server walked away he started bad mouthing about her. Once again, completely immature. On many other occasions he locks himself in the office and refuses to open the door when a server knocks for his assistance. He will look at female servers in the eyes and say, "I would just love to slap you right now." Very disrespectful, not mature. The general manager seems to try to hold all of the pieces together, however he is very unapproachable. He smiles at you when you're getting in trouble as if its funny or a joke. He has double standards for servers and chooses to brush issues under the rug when they arise. He needs to keep a better eye on his other managers as they are not doing so well. When I worked there, the shift leader and front of the house manager would let the entire restaurant get trashed. They wouldn't make any comment to us servers about the mess, and not care at all -- Until the general manger was supposed to arrive. Then they herded us like cattle and made us clean rapidly so that the business looked clean and healthy right before he showed up. Like I said, I didn't work there for long, but I worked there long enough to know I shouldn't stay. It makes me sick to my stomach thinking about how my ex co workers are being treated over there. In fact I just avoid that place entirely, I will not step foot in that restaurant ever again, strictly because I do not want to support a business who mistreats their workers. I am posting about this to get my feelings out and warn others in Hutchinson. If you are looking for a job, do not go to Chili's. I don't know you, but I know that you deserve better than that crap.
