The annual St Patty's day meal is very good. The prices feel a bit high but usually it's worth to stop in and get something good to eat. I've received take out 3 times from this location and 2 out of 3 times I enjoyed the food. One time I think I ordered something and I don't even remember what it was but I remember it not being very good. That's how meh it was. But the other 2 times I ordered a St Pattys day breakfast special, and then the next year I ordered the St Patty's day dinner special (they're not called that but it's how I classify them), the corn beef dinner was about $17, kind of pricey but tasted good overall. The folks are always friendly in here too, so I'd say overall it's been positive experiences. read more

I was here a few days ago. Arrived early like 5pm or so and already half full. Wanted to try Wisconsin's famous cheese curds. That was deep fried and big portions for appetizer. Then "Ribs & Chicken" for main. Chicken was fried not BBQ though. Another big portions I couldn't finish. Including beer it totaled $37.45 which was reasonable for amount of food I got. The entire family met up at Milwaukee Grill last night for dinner. The food and the service were perfect!

I always seem to forget about this gem. It has withstood the test of time for a reason! I started out with the cranberry cocktail which was great. And then ordered the limontini. It was definitely strong but tasty. We ordered the small spinach and artichoke dip. Only better one I've had was at sneakers in Janesville. Then for our main course I ordered butternut squash ravioli with goat cheese, nuts, and blackened chicken....I cannot express enough how AMAZING this combination was. One of my new top 5 favorites dishes! It was so savory and satisfying. Our service was fairly good for a pretty busy night. I also loved the fireplace in the middle of the room however it did get a little hot during dinner. Overall a new place to add to the rotation. read more

Friendly service, quick pick up orders. Sometimes though, the fish is put directly from the deep fryer into the carry-out container on top of the fries. It leaves everything soggy and puddles of grease. Wisconsin Fish Fry is nice clean white fish; portions are a bit small for the price but at least you know its quality fish. read more

The food was great depending on what you get. I personally got the Philly Beef sandwich and loved it!! My father got the Mother's Day special which was scallops and a baked potato. He tells me his food was good too. My sister however did not enjoy her burger at all. To be honest the burger she got looked pretty bland and the fries were cold and soggy. The service was awesome!! We were seated almost right away and our server made sure to take care of all our needs right away. My only wish is that the food came out sooner but I wasn't very hungry nor was I in a rush. I'm not the best judge of ambiance so I won't cover it too much. The place was nice and welcoming and existed in a comfortable in between crowded and dead. There are booths across from the bar, a small dining room beyond that, and two tables at the end of the bar, where we sat at one. The young hostess was friendly and helpful. Our waitress was pleasant and efficient. Our three meals were a reuben with a side of chili, the Philly beef sandwich, and the everyday fish fry. The chili was more like bland hamburger soup, and the reuben was "okay," nothing extraordinary. Hubs liked his fish, and my SIL enjoyed her Philly, and took half of it home. It's always a good idea to eat before grocery shopping. Milwaukee Grill is close to shopping, so we decided to try it. My first thought when I tasted the soup and bread "Delicious" My husband and I both are talking about what we are ordering the next time we come back. My salad was so fresh with mandarin oranges, almonds, grilled chicken, and sesame dressing. I am so glad I ordered the small. Serving sizes are big. Same with the tacos. Prices were so reasonable. Waitress did an exceptional job. Very clean inside. Large parking lot outside. Menu had salads, burgers, wraps, tacos, and vegetarian choices. This was the lunch menu. A more "modern" spin on the Wisconsin supper club, but still has a retro vibe. Obviously a popular local spot. Three televisions at the bar. Booth seating available in the bar. Popcorn is available at the bar upon request; the machine really needed to be cleaned as the inside was coated with grease. In the absence of Covid precautions in the restaurant, & because we preferred our entrees without a side of the Rona, we ordered drinks at the bar & opted to place a takeout order. The restaurant was crowded at 5:30. The Wisconsin Harvest Salad was very good! I asked for it with chicken and it came with a nice portion. We also ordered hummus, which was very good, and the perch fish fry. Fish fry is available every day. Would have considered giving this restaurant 4 Stars except for the LACK OF MASKS BEING WORN. I know it's Wisconsin, & I guess they're not aware of the 800,000 Americans who've died of #Covid.‍ Also makes me wonder if other health guidelines and regulations are followed in the kitchen or considered optional. Really wasn't super impressed by the Milwaukee Grill. The inside isn't very modern/comfortable. The waitress was very nice and did her job well, but besides that I wouldn't say anything was above average. We were on our way to Granite Peak and stopped in Janesville for dinner. Let me first give the respect that this place deserves; if you think Janesville is small and cannot have excellent dining you are wrong! This place is not excellent for Janesville, this is excellent for any city. Let's start with their beers. An excellent choice of draft beers on tap and my wife and I both found ones we loved. I had the Tommy's Porter and it was excellent. My wife an ale and also loved it. For dinner I had the Fish Fry (with the cod) and it was excellent. I ordered the vegetable versus fries or potato and the green beans were superb: the right amount of spices and garlic to make them memorable. My wife had the Broiled fish and also had the green beans. Our son needed the Yelp reviews and had the Pork Burrito; it was a hit and he devoured the entire plate of food. It was top notch from beginning to end. I will warn you that they get busy. But the service is superb and we would come here far more often if it wasn't an hour away. read more

This is a good spot to eat between Madison and Illinois or Beloit -- we stopped here to meet family for dinner and it was good for several picky eaters. Their menu is excellent -- you can get great dishes for fish, ribs, steak, salads. They really do a great job of food options. Everyone at the table enjoyed their dishes of salmon, shrimp and fettuccine, ribs and the fish fry. We also had desserts, which were all excellent. The decor and ambience is not notable: some TVs in the bar area and a medium sized seating area with a few photographs on the wall. I did see a party of 8 walk out because they thought it would be too tight a fit for their group. Our service was excellent with one exception. One member of our party found a clear piece of paper which the server identified as a butter wrapper that ended up in the mashed potatoes. That meal should have been complimentary or the dessert -- something should have been done about it, a bit more than an apology? So it's a good spot to stop, I would give it 3.5 stars if I could and recommend it to travelers by. The food is good and better than the chain options nearby. read more
