First of all it was not busy at all, we walked in sat in the bar area, and sat there for about 5-10 minutes before we even got any kind of service, we then ordered our drinks and appetizer. About another 10 minutes went by and we got our chips and salsa but the chips were stale, greasy, and cold. Still had not received our beer. We then asked if we could get warm/fresh chips and were told that the warmer was broken and that "they were in the middle of shift change and would probably have fresh chips made in about 15 minutes." Being a server for many years and working in the industry I would have let the customer know that the chip warmer was broken before ordering and would have asked if they would like something else. Food was ok. Service was not as it should have been. I ordered chips and skillet queso as an appetizer. The meal came out and I had to ask where it was. When it came out, the skillet queso was cold. My husband got soup but no clean spoon. We told the server that he needed a new spoon and instead of bringing it, he went to the next table and began taking their order. I had to ask the hostess to bring a spoon. Then when he finally did get a spoon, they brought out his hamburger...so he didn't get to eat the soup he ordered as his appetizer. We stop here to eat lunch while we were in town for the State Baseball Tournament. We arrived at 12:45pm, I walked inside to request a table for 6. I was told that it would be 15mins wait because they had to clean the table off. The hostess pointed to the table that needed to be cleaned off. I was like ok that fine. She said for us to wait outside. No Problem. Well while we was waiting another family of 8 went in and put there name down. So 25 mins went by so my mom went to see if our table was almost ready. She come back and said the hostess said that they still waiting for someone to clean it. So while still waiting they went ahead in sit the family of 8 that came in after us. By this time it's been 45mins wait and This is not right. So I went in to see what was going on. When I went to the hostess stand, the first thing out of her mouth was they still haven't cleaned your table. I said this is not acceptable and we stop here for a quick bite to eat before our baseball game at 3. She said yeah I know but we will not be able to accommodate y'all because y'all will not be able to be at the ballpark at 3. Ma'am so y'all been having us standing outside until y'all was able to tell us that we can't eat here because yall can't get us out before 3. SMH by the way there was only a few people in the whole restaurant. Please Don't eat here. This chili's is by far the worst Inhave ever went to and ive been to some horrible ones. We are loyal chili's customers but I think that's about to change unless the way these stores are ran change. Yesterday was the worst I walked in as usual it was pretty dead inside I waited for over 10 minutes to be seated, no one would seat me so I say myself in the bar area, after another 10-15 minutes of watching wait staff walk by me, I walked to the bar and asked her who my waitress was, well although it wasn't her tables she came out after I sat there another 10 minutes and took out order she was polite and did a good job even though it wasn't her section. This place is dreadful and I guess it's time to give my patronage to another chili's. This place is rarely packed yet you gwt crap service food takes forever every trip it was prepared incorrect after taking forever, and getting a refill geez it's like an act of Congress, every visit I got tired of waiting for refills and took my glass to the bar and got my own, it's sad I saw an elderly man who had issues walking get up for water his wife was coughing badly how pathetic. We waited a long time to even be seated, no staff in sight. When we were finally shown to a booth it was just "here you go" and that was it. 5 mins later, after wondering where our menus were, the hostess comes back and says "I'll get your drinks, your waitress is gonna be a little" which was surprising since there wasn't much business. I ordered a long island my husband a regular lemonade. His came out record time but mine hadn't. No offer of a water while I waited either. Finally got to order and while the appitizer came I finally received my drink, which wasn't an ice tea more like a lemonade! Plus NO NAPKINS! we ate a messy app and no napkins uggg! Food was received was bland and barely had a taste. Asked for a coke but waited forever for it while waitress leaned against the bar. Hubby was finished with his drink and again took a good 15 mins to get a refill. Not going back that's for sure. read more

Spinach with garlic roasted tomatoes was quite possibly the most disgusting thing I've seen and filled with water in the bottom of the bowl. Salad was filled with water and soggy tomatoes. Bartender had to remake six drinks while I sat there due to incompetence. Only thing good was the beer, and I had to get a new one because the glass was dirty. Our group of six adults and went to this Chili's this last Saturday for lunch. The place was less than half full. The maître d' told us that it would be at least 20 minutes until we could we would be seated. When we asked why, the maître d' told us that it was because they didn't have enough servers on duty. I definitely agree with some of the other reviews that I have read today, that this place definitely needs new management. We called Pat's of Henderson in Lake Charles and told them we would be there within five minutes and when we got there our table was already set up, even though they were very busy. Every time I go, they are short handed and out of whatever I want to order or the oven isn't working. I went yesterday because they emailed me a free dessert with the purchase of an adult entree so that was the main reason for me even going. First, I ordered the spinach queso and it came out cold. Then when my waiter finally came back and took my order, he quickly returned to tell me that the oven wasn't working and literally all of the things I could've ordered (I'm a pescatarian so anything with seafood) couldn't be made. Basically I had to pay for an appetizer that I wouldn't have even ordered had they told me prior that the oven was broken and I didn't get my free dessert that I originally went for. I've had lunch and dinner here several times before. This is one of my favorite Chiles. I always have a good experience with this restaurant. The staff is quick and friendly! The food is great! The last time I went my and my mom's salad was underdressed (lacking in salad dressing) and the chicken on my salad wasn't seasoned at all. It was also a slow day, 4 parties total at 4pm and somehow they were out of sugar to make sweet tea. The sweet tea doesn't bother me cause I also drink unsweet tea however, unpreparedness and being under stocked with something as basic as sugar is hard to believe. Stop here if you want the worst dining experience of your life. We weren't seated for 10 minutes and there were plenty empty tables. We never got utensils, never got napkins, and never got refills. But the worst was the fact that my kids ordered bacon cheeseburger burgers with no mustard and when they came they had mustard. We sent them back and then got burgers that were plain with no cheese when we ordered cheeseburgers. Then we called for the manager. She was nasty with us but finally did bring them back and it had the uncooked bacon and cold cheese. She argued that the bacon was fully cooked( I posted a picture). We gave them one more chance to get it right which they finally did and then they compensated us $1.14 per burger. The main reason I'm complaining is because the manager was so nasty to us and told us that the uncooked bacon was cooked. Then I tried to show pictures to another manager and he walked away. I'd be glad to discuss this with anyone in Chili's corporate training or management because that store was the worst service I've ever gotten anywhere. read more

I will never go to another chilis restaurant again! The visit today was a disaster. I wish yelp would upgrade and make it so i bc an rate negative stars. First, our server was so inattentive. Secondly , the chicken enchilada came out with no sauce but on the side was a curdled sour cream sauce. The managers explanation was that it was a cumin sour cream sauce which is not stated in the menu. Apparently cumin curdles sour cream. My fajitas had no taste except for grease and the onions and peppers were undercooked. The little tower of fixing for the fajitas came out. The cheese was hard, the salsa tasted like watered down tomatoes, and the guacomole was bland. Chilli's is one of my favorite chain restaurants. This one here in Lake Charles does not disappoint. The staff is nice and friendly and the service is relatively quick. The quality of the food is consistent, and the food seems to be pretty fresh. It is a good place to go with the family or to go just to enjoy a few drinks. read more

After our last experience, it took us a while to try this place again, but we finally did, and I have to say, it was MUCH BETTER! I ordered my usual chicken crispers and they were hot and delicious! The waitress was very nice, gave me a refill of tea without my asking. It was very busy (lunch On a Sunday) but we only had to wait about 10 minutes to get a table. I've been to Chili's several times, but not at this location. Our waitress sat us at a dirty table, I then requested for a different table and when we got to the table it was also dirty. My family and I ended up leaving before ordering our food because the waitress had a bad attitude as well. This is not going to be a good review for the management staff at all and my server was alright. Being in the service industry myself let me just advise that this would never be tolerated where I'm employed. I was seated in the bar area and there was a man seated, well actually he was standing, at the bar in the corner. He had a young lady with him, looked like his daughter until I saw the way he was groping her. I wasn't offended I felt bad for the girl. He was preaching very loudly about GOD. I do not believe that you can be preaching to a bartender about GOD and sucking down tequila shots and beer at the same time then in the next breath tell the bartender how much money you have. Just a nasty comment from my own ugliness, but people with "MONEY" don't really use flip phones anymore. He then decided that he was going to yell out, louder than he was talking initially, that he was Horny. I lost my mind at that. I asked to speak to the manager, he came over to the booth that I was seated in and I asked him to join me. I asked him to listen to the conversation and he did for a minute. I suggested that he go over and ask the man to stop speaking so loudly and remember that this is supposed to be a family place. He said that he agreed and was getting up and a different server came over and said that the family seated on the other side of the restaurant was offended because they had small children. The manager called the bartender to the back of the house to speak with her and she didn't go back to her guest and ask the to either leave or lower his voice.
